This study compares biological data taken from transgender and cisgender athletes to see if there is a significant difference between them. (This study is not entirely conclusive, as further research into how gender-affirming care may affect the results needs to be done.)
I would like to point out as well that there are no documented cases of cisgender men pretending to be transgender women in order to participate in sports, only debunked accusations against women in sports.

J.K. Rowling as well has been vocal in fighting against laws in Scotland which allow for transgender people to receive gender-affirming care, namely the Gender Recognition Reform Bill. During the approval process of the Gender Recognition Reform Bill, J.K. Rowling tweeted in support of an organization called For Women Scotland, who advocates against transgender rights.
Alongside making transphobic statements and acting in support of transphobic organizations, J.K. Rowling does not believe asexual people are part of the LGBTQ+ community.
