"I didn't realize there was a defined 'type' for something like that," he teased softly when she'd said that initially. "I'd hope so," the smile on Tucker's face remaining warm. "Especially if I go through all this effort to get it for you."

"I suppose not completely but I would say there were people who you just look and think they probably aren't the plushie type." Everleigh pointed out. Sure, it was a judgement of sorts but at least it wasn't too bad. "Well if it becomes too expensive, I will have to put a halt on your attempts, as well meaning as they are."

"If you wanted to keep it so bad you could've just said so," Tucker snorted when she spoke about how he didn't seem like the type to collect soft toys. "I was most likely going to play to win it for you anyways," he added with a shrug.

"Do I seem the type to collect soft toys?" She asked raising an eyebrow, but there was a definite softening to her expression and a smile that worked its way across her features when Tucker said he would likely give it to her. "Well... this might be one I would keep when in that case."

"I mean I was never a big party girl," Lyra admitted with a shrug. She preferred to spend her time elsewhere. And even when she did attend parties, she'd never been that big of a drinker. Even when she'd tried to be, it never quite stuck. "Do you? Yeah I quite liked playing Quidditch back at school."

"I wasn't a massive party girl myself but I guess I was always a little too competitive. I just... guess I taught myself to be good at things." Everleigh murmured, thinking about it a little. "With my brother being who he is, I paid quite a bit of attention to Quidditch, even when it didn't include him."

"These sorts of games have never been my forte but I don't want to back down here either," Dominique replied, watching the smirk appear on the other's features. "You're probably going to crush me but maybe I'll still manage to learn a trick of two off of you."

"I don't blame you. I've never been the type to back down either." Everleigh agreed with a smile as she moved a little closer. "Well... maybe this can be more of a practice experience for you then? Not a competition. I can teach you how to take down others." She said with a little laugh. "Assuming there is someone you would like to take down."

"I don't see why not?" a grin forming on Ingrid's lips in response to that question. "There's so many lovely things– I'm sure to find something that'll suit my flat perfectly."

"Well then I think we should get serious on this. Figure out what will suite and go from there. Or are you after something completely out there and different?"

"You're totally right, but of course there's always going to be someone who is doing that. So many people are so quick to judge," Ivy sighed with a little shake of her head. "But yes, we can. I'll be your hype girl and if you're not big on drinking I can take the Ls for you. But you appear to be a gifted player so I'm sure that won't even be an issue."

"It's a sad fact that it happens to be true." Everleigh admitted with a little sigh when Ivy pointed out that there would always be people like that about. "Drinking isn't so much of an issue for me. That's not to say I go out all the time and drink myself stupid but I would like to believe I can hold my own so we should take turns on this."

"Of course we can," Tucker nodded and grinned when she seemed excited by the idea. "Although knowing me I'm going to want to try and take on the challenge of making as many tokens as possible to get one of those bigger prizes."

"And what exactly would you do with that big prize? I don't imagine you being the type of person to enjoy collecting cuddly toys but I suppose I could be wrong." Everleigh pointed out with a warm smile. "But I'd love to see you win one regardless. Or help you win one."

"I was hoping that'd be your pick," she grinned back when the other was up for them playing together on the same team. "I plan to absolutely crush them into pieces," Willow replied proudly before moving to take her spot at the table, holding the ping pong ball out to Everleigh, "You go first."

Everleigh would have loved to say that there was some real competition but honestly, they wiped the floor with the opposing team, and it wasn't just a slightly smug expression on her face by the end of it. "I know who to come to in the future if I have any competitions I need to win."

"I promised before I wasn't going to trauma dump on you at a party again so the only thing I'm going to say in answer to that is no, not all the time," Gale replied, shaking his head and laughing, "A walk? That sounds nice. I was probably just going to hang around and watch movies. Maybe order food," he shrugged, "Bit of a lazy day for me. Seems lame compared to yours."

"Maybe I enjoy acting like a step in therapist." Everleigh responded wryly, though they both knew she was joking. "You know what they say though, focusing on someone elses problems takes your mind off your own." Again though, whilst there was some truth to that, she didn't actually mean it in the moment. "That doesn't sound like a bad day to me either. If anything, it sounds relaxing."

"You won't even let me have the illusion of having any sort of authority, will you?" Mateo snorted at her scoffed reply. Although he already knew all of that of course. "I never said I was. Besides, I believe you'll be a worthy opponent at this– you would've have proposed the challenge if that weren't the case."

"Why should I do that? An illusion isn't exactly a good thing." Everleigh commented with a soft, amused roll of her eyes. "I'm glad you aren't that cocky or delusional though." Whilst she might not win, Everleigh was aware that she would put up a very good fight and that it would be close at worst.

"Yeah but I wouldn't let that happen," Gale replied, shrugging as if it were no big deal, "I have become very sensible, dont' you know?" he asked with a chuckle, "Anyway, how are you planning to spend the first day of the new year?" he asked, making conversation.

"You've become sensible? Were you not before?" Everleigh asked with a raised eyebrow. "I think I might visit my brother for the day if he isn't already busy. I also like to go for the first walk of the New Year early on in the morning. There's something refreshing about it." She also liked to do a Christmas day walk. "What about you, what are your plans?"

"There's always someone to talk to, sure. But I don't necessarily want to be spending all of my free time with them," Tucker shrugged in reply when she pointed out that he was social and most likely in high demand. "We could go for a walk I suppose. Maybe we could even hit up an arcade or a bowling alley if that sounds good to you? A little friendly competition seems up our alley after all."

That caused a smile to drift over Everleigh's face. As much as they teased one another, it was nice when Tucker was genuine and sweet with her. It meant more. "That sounds good. Hopefully they won't be too busy. We can collect tokens and maybe buy something at the end."

"I know it wasn't," Gale said with a warm smile, "But you're my friend and I don't want you to get cold," he continued, "No need to thank me, I'm happy to," he added. The cold hadn't quite seeped in yet seeing as he'd picked a warm outfit for the night. He chuckled, "Okay, deal. I don't really want to spend 2029 as a popsicle."

Normally she might have made a joke about the friendship thing but given what she'd learned about Gale, it seemed... not right. He had enough on his shoulders and it made her soften at least a little. "I would say it's my own fault if I did get cold." After all, she'd chosen the outfit of the evening and it was maybe not fit for purpose where staying warm was concerned. "Good. I'm glad you're being sensible about it."

"Nobody likes to deal with that sort of nitty-gritty, do they?" he considered, a little chuckle leaving his lips at what felt like nonchalance on her behalf about the whole situation. "And are they? Okay I mean," Ambrose asked, considering she was standing outside and not exactly checking on the friend in question.

"Unless you're a healer I suppose. Just another reason that was not a path that called to me." Everleigh said with a shrug of her shoulders. "I mean, I would hope they are but if you want you can always go check for me... you being male and all." She smirked, knowing he was unlikely to take her up on that request.

Gale looked around, "I don't know," he admitted but was quick to pull off his coat and drape it over her shoulder, "Here," he said, "I can manage for a few minutes. I've got more layers than you anyway," he added with a smile.

"That-- I wasn't trying to hint." Everleigh began but the others coat had found its way across her shoulders before she'd really had a chance to turn it down. "But thank you... you're very sweet." Not that she'd been unaware of that particular trait of Gales already. "We better not linger too long out here then. We don't want you to turn into a human popsicle attempting to be a gentleman for me."

"I'm glad it was still a pleasant night for you as you put it. You deserve to enjoy yourself," Tucker insisted warmly. "Well the night isn't over yet. If you weren't in a rush to get home, maybe we can hang out now? Do something to make the night even greater for you than it has been?"

"And I do, you don't need to worry about that." Everleigh assured Tucker, reaching out to give his arm a light squeeze. "You don't have other things to do? That surprises me given how much of a social butterfly you are. I would have thought your calendar would have been all booked up already." She teased him, grateful for the thought though. "But of course I'll spend time with you. Did you have anything in mind?"
