I forgot to post yesterday, so you get a double post today. Check out our haunted cemetery at the community trick-or-treat! I decided that we need to bring the skulls-on-uprights trend from the 1700's back for 2015.

Geez it's super rainy and gross today. I need to come up with some inside projects to do 'cause most of my projects right now involve going outside with a clip board.

omg. Okay so we went to the Community Trick or Treat yesterday, armed with a bunch of candy and stickers and coloring sheets (I drew up some cemetery-related coloring sheets). More than I ever thought we'd need. We set up this totally rad haunted cemetery booth, and the grounds keeper, D, dressed up like the grim reaper and I was just my adorable self. I drank a Red Bull and prepared for the flood gates to open.

Watching the kids wander around in their costumes was so fun! BUT we ran out of EVERYTHING in about 40 minutes. I have never been subjected to such relentless trick-or-treating. We had to take everything down 'cause we didn't want kids thinking we had treats. It was chaos. It's like they bussed kids in from the surrounding counties or something.

Next year, we're going to have to bring a LOT more candy.

Also, I thought I would be uncomfortable with a haunted cemetery booth, but it was actually surprisingly appropriate and okay. I don't know why I worried.

We're closing the office early today in order to go hand out candy at a community event. That's the only exciting thing that's going on today. I'll possibly post pictures on Monday. I DON'T KNOW.

I got to drive the back hoe around today - I picked up some dirt and put it on a grave! It was a lot easier than picking up the dirt out of the grave, which I attempted yesterday,

Also, it's windy out here and my skirt kept blowing around. :P

I'm representing the Cemetery at a Trick-or-Treating thing at a local park. I'm going to be there handing out candy and showing community involvement and presence. A bunch of businesses in the chamber of commerce do this and it's also good for business 'cause of parents. I'm trying to think of Halloween-themed messages to get people to come to the Cemetery and buy plots and headstones. You'd think that'd be easy, but most things just seem kind of inappropriate.
