15 days until impostor factory comes out how are we feeling
ABSOLUTE CINEMA
15 days until impostor factory comes out how are we feeling
When did Neil actually start to put on that smile and be accustomed to making silly sarcastic jokes? I mean, I'm not saying that's not real him. It's a part of him which inherited from Quincy ( though it may be mixed with Lynri's critical thinking ability and that removed Quincy's optimism from him ) , but we know there were little smiling pictures of Neil in school age in the scene when Faye showed the base reality.
I thought he learned how to hide his scincerity from Quincy, you know, Neil said he hid his grief with a brave smile. But when did Neil actually start to copy that?
i had a vision.
wait this is just rosawatts
Small Faye (Fayee) and "big" Faye in LHRPG
Continuing from @everydayear365's take on LHRPG and the promotional material shown so far: Linky
Of note is this image, released alongside the "trailer" of LHRPG (don't get excited, it's just a silly office episode lol):
Given some pieces of the promotional material, we know that small Faye there is acquired at the end of an elemental puzzle floor, and that she's a key part of defeating the final boss, big Faye:
Now, everydayear365 raised a good question about this:
I also wonder if only Neil can use her like that, I mean, striking her with a tennis racket or every character can do that. You know, they have a little special relationship. Oh, speaking of relationship, I'm also curious about how the boss Faye and the small Faye are related to each other.
And, well, I think it's fairly likely that Neil is the only one capable of "truly" defeating big Faye by bouncing small Faye at her. After all, he gave her space in his machine, so he'd likely know how best to defeat her. And hey, the "hero" of the story being the only one capable of defeating the true villain by channeling their inner potential/goodness is a fairly common trope in RPGs and fantasy stories, heh. As for small Faye, maybe she's Faye's "nice side" condensed into an adorably shaped missile? After all, before the doctors tried to remove Faye, she was actually quite the nice person (well ok, imagined person, but you get the point). It's possible that, by making Faye confront her "good self", her evil side would be weakened by the shame and guilt, letting the doctors save the day by melting it away and restoring the good Faye. All just speculation on my side though! I hope Kan is reading this and gives answers soon...👀

LHRPG Stuffs
I'm just gonna write some my assumptions and thoughts about LHRPG here
I'll keep adding things when new thoughts come to mind
-----------------------------------------------
Well, this is records of me searching the steam page :)
Well, I'll describe it more later, but it seems like there are 4 elements in the game. Fire(red), water(blue), earth(yellow), and air(green). This is my assumption
: Rob -> fire, Eva -> earth, Roxie -> water, Neil -> air.
We saw that there is a eastern dragon ( 龍 ) in Rob's MP UI and Eva wears a helmet which has earth element bonus. It seems like the dungeons are related to the characters in it ( You can see that in the next screenshot too. ) and there are lots of water, besides, beluga whale always smiles and it has high communication abilities so it is promising to think water as Roxie, I guess. Automatically, Neil takes wind, an owl.
But there is no air in the picture...The others have been activated, but there are 4 diamonds of elements instead of something stands for air, and it's not even activated. I dunno how it works and who activated others, but still it's sus.
And my cute Neil is here, in a old metallic basement. If you watched Kan's video about LHRPG, you would know that Neil's character design is based on a mechanic stuff, like a robot. so I think the dungeon could be related to him, anyway.
Also we should remember his mom, ya' know?
My beloved FP finally came. It seems like they're inside of an instrument, such as the piano. And the designs of Colin and Sofia are really cool but i'll talk about them later. I wanna focus on the icons. I guess the shimmering stars are the skills, the sword is basic attack, two arms are collaboration attack, and the book is... items. ( Tbh it doesn't that match... I should think about it more. )
+ What's that circle behind Neil...?
It was quite surprising for me that she has pretty high Def level ( It's second place ). There is Rudog behind the screen, and I assume there are only Eva and Roxie. Hmm... interesting.
And do you see the unique shape next to the SYSTEM? It seems like hands of a clock.
Ohh crying Neil is cute. Anyway, I think it's right after he got back to his allies from the dungeon with cubes. Well, the birds and trees remind me of Faye. It seems like that she also uses an earth element in Kan's video and social media. So there could be close to the top of the tower.
The funny thing is that the freaking olive inflicts poisoned on its USER. And there are many other olives with different colors..........
There are equipments of Neil and Roxie ( also a gun ), and they might be fighting with Faye behind the scene since it's like the top. As there is no equipment of Eva or Rob, so unequipped things might go to Items...
This is the sketch of the title menu of the game, I guess. It's like someone ( which is likely to be Faye ) is stealing the moon, isn't it?
Then it makes me wonder why she is stealing the moon, and what would happen if she succeeds? What would happen to Sigcorp members after taking the moon back? Is that the ending? ( NO, I DON'T BELIEVE KAN. )
Booyah, I will keep adding things that come to mind.
Belated, but I just realized that Roxie is the kind of girl who craves ice cream so much she eats bucketloads of it in the dead middle of winter. The water element is quite apt for her indeed. Also...
Gotta wonder what role mini Faye will play against big Faye. She certainly seems like a key component to defeating her.
I also wonder if only Neil can use her like that, I mean, striking her with a tennis racket or every character can do that. You know, they have a little special relationship. Oh, speaking of relationship, I'm also curious about how the boss Faye and the small Faye are related to each other.
General timeline of the To the Moon series
As I posted on Discord:
Well the games are a little loose about the exactsies time periods, but I'd say TtM to minisode 1 is probably a year, minisode 1 to 2 yet another year, then few months from minisode 2 to FP, then ??? amount of time between FP and IF, probably a month or two as Neil already got Faye tech at the end of FP, then the end of IF leads directly to Sunset, then ??? till BE Given that Eva is so shellshocked about Neil dying, he probably took a year or two in between before croaking it
This is just my theory, though; I wonder how others conceptualize the series timeline, and if Kan will shed any light on it in the future.
And, hey, there's evidence supporting this! When Neil jokes about child Colin tripping over his floor possibly being an identical twin because he "died", Eva chides him for joking about that operation "too soon", but then changes her mind, as Neil points out it happened a "long while ago". Meaning that while FP is a sequel to TtM, there's actually a noticeably big gap between the two cases. Two years or so sounds about right, that's long enough to register as a huge period of time without making the doctors noticeably age.
Actually I think the year was changed between TTM and FP because it was Christmas season in minisodes, but it'd not been more than a year. The conversation between Doctor and Neil ( or Eva. It doesn't matter ) shows that they worked together with 3 patients after Johnny, and given that Neil saying "You again? Small world." it seems like they'd met pretty often so I guess Johnny's case was just a few months ago. Or half of a year.
Also I assume minisode 2 is just after a couple of days since minisode 1...

Just finished To The Moon, and this is my review for it
Real Kan moments
thinking about how imposter factory sets up "bestest detectives" not only as neil's theme, but as a theme that can represent anyone in his family. how that can translate to representing anyone whose life he touched. and when we're first introduced to the theme, it's established to include eva. according to him, she's the other detective, after all.
neil shares his theme with her so the two are liked together in a way that can never be undone. so it's like when he's gone, she's missing a part of herself. the theme still plays, but the person who it represents is gone. whether he wanted it or not he's altered her life by simply being in it.
Neil's theme is really likely to be Lullaby from a Star. Obviously The Bestest Detectives is the theme soundtrack of both Eva and Neil since it's played whenever Neil and Eva have banters or their casual scenes while we can hear the melody of Lullaby from a Star in the scenes directly related only to Neil. ( The Fiction We Tell Ourselves or Waking up... Maybe Neil's machine too )
To The Moon Minisodes Eva's diary entries
In both of the minisodes if you leave out Eva's diary (so when you don't click on it while playing as Eva) you can later read it when the player controls Neil.
Minisode 1 diary entry:
Neil's reaction is fear, if you try to read the entry again he will say something like: "Nope."
Minisode 2 diary entry:
This time the only reaction is a speech bubble with three dots.
Omg the last sentence means it's a fucking simulated world
That someone is real Eva 😭😭😭
Happy 10 year anniversary to A Bird Story - and Happy 10th Birthday to Colin Reeds!! 🥳🐦🪶
