Do you know what has been tweeted to CR, JR and Simon and has it been removed 'cause never seen anything negative or rude? Makes me both sad and and quite frankly, really furious, if what's been said is true.
Hi Nonny. I don’t know the exact specifics because I don’t have ‘the twitter’ because i’m the Campwolfe Fandom Nan™ and I’m too ancient to figure it out but from what I can glean it seems as though a small part of the fandom over on that platform have been tagging Simon, CR and JR in some sexualized tweets that cross the line, like, well - period. Apparently there were some tweets that intimated that CR and JR are somehow or should somehow be together IRL - like SERIOUSLY ppl? How old are you? 12? Have you learned nothing about boundaries?
I have zero, nada, zip, zilch judgement about what anyone wants to do personally and privately in their own fantasy-world-imaginings of Bernie/Serena CR/JR but keep that shit in a fucking vault. Like lock it the fuck down.
These women are actual real people - not simply screens to have whatever fantasies you want projected onto them out in the real world. They have husbands, and children, and friends and family and they do this incredible job of going to work every day and creating these nuanced, fantastic, beautiful, complex characters that we’ve fallen so hard for. But that’s just it - it’s their career, their work, their job. They don’t live it.
I find it difficult to understand why it is that there are some people that can’t seem to understand the distinction between reality and fantasy. Yes representation is important and I’m the first person to scream that from the rooftops to anyone who will listen. But how hard is it to understand that CATHERINE RUSSELL IS NOT ACTUALLY SERENA CAMPBELL? JEMMA REDGRAVE IS NOT REALLY BERNIE WOLFE.
Anyway I’m going on a bit of a tear here because apparently I have a lot of feelings about this.
In the end we have no idea why Simon deactivated his twitter. It may be because something like this happening to him or it could be for some other reason. In the end I would hope that our glorious Campwolfe/Berena fandom here and on twitter would really work at KEEPING IT CLASSY!
We are such a fortunate fandom to have the support of Simon and Catherine and Jemma too. Catherine goes out of her way to interact with us and soothe us when we lose our collective shit and for the love of god could we stop doing that people puhlease and it would be a shame if a tiny corner of our fandom ruined that for the rest of us.
