21: What are your plans for this weekend?

Probably just hit some parties, make some friends, and have a great time! I might try to convince @meganwhizbangpop and @paratym to join me.

Heidi all but slammed her laptop shut, trying to stay quiet in her suffering. She’d chosen history as a degree on a whim and was now entirely regretting that decision. She loved the content, even understood it pretty well, but something about these courses made her struggle in a way she hadn’t felt since math class in high school. Letting out a sigh, she packed her bag and slung it over her shoulder before making her way out of the library. It was a sunny day, but despite being the ever-positive person that Heidi was, it only did so much to help her current mood. Just as she was about to turn towards the dorms, someone was calling her name. “Oh, Hugo, Hi,” she smiled, doing her best to mask her dilemma, “Yeah, I did, was just trying to stay ahead of things, the semester only just started but there’s already so many assignments to do.”

Shifting her bag on her shoulder slightly, Heidi cleared her throat, “What about you? Are you heading back to the dorms? We could uh.. walk together if you want?” Honestly, she was glad that she’d run into Hugo, he never failed to make her smile and walking back with a friend seemed better than drowning in her own thoughts alone.

Of course Heidi was studying. Hugo honestly admired how well she kept up with things, that was not his strength at all. He tended to do things at the last minute. He claimed it was when he did his best work, but that wasn’t even close to the truth. “That’s a good idea.” Hugo smiled. “I wish I was as motivated as you are, but my interests lie in... other places.” He said, shrugging his shoulders in response. This was a complete understatement, he’d only chosen history in the hopes of meeting girls. It worked, seeing as that was how he met Heidi. “Yeah, I was heading back to the dorms. Thinking of grabbing lunch.”

He was about to offer to walk Heidi back when she asked if he wanted to walk with her. “Great minds!” He said excitedly. “I was about to offer to walk you home. Would you want to grab lunch maybe? It would be on me.” This was asked a little more nervously. Hugo would be lying if he said he hadn’t had a slight crush on Heidi however, as far as he could tell she thought of him only as a friend and he didn’t want to mess that up.

Hugo had just finished walking with his twin brother Auggie to where he was meeting his date for lunch. Hugo had hung out with Auggie until Sam met up with him for their lunch date. Walking on the sidewalk, away from the food truck that Auggie and Sam had chosen, he was browsing through his phone as he walked. Luckily for him, he didn’t bang into anyone but that was more so their self-awareness than anything he had done. He was now walking back to his apartment, to have lunch himself, when he passed by the library. He looked up for a moment while walking by and spotted someone else, walking down the steps away from the library. “Heidi?” He said, squinting in the direction. “Oh hey! What’s up?” Hugo said, jogging to catch up to her while tucking his phone away. “Finished doing some studying?”

One of the photography majors needed help with a school project. They got an A and I got this really rad photo out of it.

Name something you dislike about the day you’re having.

Well... let’s see. I got to play in Bumper Balls... my school’s team won the game... I got to watch cheerleaders. It’s been a pretty good day, though getting a date with that girl at the carnival would have been nice. She certainly didn’t have to look at me like I was crazy.
