Hollywood: *only allows Cis White People to audition for roles*

Cis White People: Why is everyone constantly bitching about lack of diversity? Only the best actors are chosen. It has nothing to do with racism, sexism, homophobia, or transphobia. If you want more diverse roles, we need better actors. I mean there is no way these hollywood studios run by Rich old white cis men have discriminating policies that keep nonwhite, noncis, and nonstraight people from being presented in positive roles in the media. No. Hollywood is perfectly flawless and a merit-based. You want to be on the big screen. Then be more talented. It's just that.

White ppl think u don’t wash dreds.., because their white friends with dreds force their own hair to mat together unnaturally. I had a cousin who did that—he used beeswax to twist his hair into strands and called them locks, and if he ever washed them, they’d get fucked up. That was my first exposure to someone deliberately locking their hair, and for people who don’t care to learn more, first impressions can last a lifetime File this under reasons white people w dreds are fucked in the head… Not only are they claiming entitlement to a hairstyle that isn’t theirs, but they also don’t mind giving it a reputation that is tied to their race-specific process. Of course people feel entitled to unconditional self expression, but I think a fair rule of thumb could be that Unless ur hair locks on its own, u shouldn’t be wearing dreds.
