Some doodles I’ve made of Cypress and Delphox. I’m almost certain that all these scenarios are canon.

The good night kiss has to be my favorite one. I’ve always loved the idea of them sleeping together, and Delphox (being a nocturnal fox) watching over him as a some sort of guardian angel. I imagine Delphox sleeping on his legs so that the fur could keep her beloved trainer warm especially in cold nights.

Having a little rest.

Professor cypress and dad sharing a tent and having some well deserved rest after a long day researching legendary Pokemon. Being far away from home doesn’t really help either.

Cypress rarely goes on research trips, this time with the protagonist’s father. Dad kindly offered the professor the bed after taking into consideration that his body might not be as durable as his own and catch a cold, making the new professor fall sick would be nothing but trouble for their region. The temperature was unexpectedly colder then usual resulting in dad hugging Cypress as soon as he got permission for necessary warmth.

Despite the professor being known for his strict and cold nature, dad could’ve sworn his face reddened a little as soon as the professor’s legs were trapped by his soft embrace. He considered laughing the matter off, but quickly changed his mind upon receiving an unpleased glare from Cypress. Perhaps he wasn’t used to making contact and friendly with people as much as he was with his colleagues.

Perhaps the night would presumably last a little more cozier, then usual, atleast.

(I’ll probably write a proper fanfic for this.)

Feeling like making a comeback on writing fan-fictions. I haven’t been writing for months.

Dad finds an injured bird.

I feel as if despite everything Cypress has done, dad would always hold a fragment of pity towards him for wasting his career as a professor to try and fix a matter that is inevitable.

I like to imagine this happening if Cypress was never thrown into the portal, but heavily injured from a rampage. Dad is being dad and feeling bad for witnessing his old friend end up in such a messed up state.

@citrulbop is fully responsible for making me have a go at these two, which I’ve enjoyed to the fullest. I’m thinking of drawing another picture where the main characters dad pays Cypress a visit in prison.
