Moving to Computer in 10 minutes
Sorry I haven't been very active. I've just been going through a lot at home. I'll be online soon and will get to all of my drafts! I love you all.
Sorry loves
"Thranduil? Is Naem going to have a baby?" Evie asked with wide eyes.
"Yes, my dear. He is," the king answered, giving a small smile. "I realize that this may be confusing, but the Valar have blessed us with a divine gift."
"How is it confusing? You both love each other!" She smiled and hugged his leg. That was one talk her Nana and Ada never had with her. "So that’s all that matters."
"Ah… yes! Yes, we do love eachother… and that is all that matters." He smiled, a bit awkwardly and relieved, and patted the elfling on the head. "Would you like to see her when she arrives?"
"I would love too. I’ve never seen a baby before." She hummed softly and held her arms up in hopes of being picked up.
"Is that so? Then you will be certain to see this one." He grinned and accepted her invitation, picking her up and nestling her in his arms. "Now, what have you been up to, my little lady?"
Evie snuggled into his hold and smiled, "I've been learning stuff From the healers. That way I cam help people when they need me."

Evie clutches her blanket tightly around her and knocks on Thranduils study, hoping he was still up.
Thranduil peeked up at the small noise and dropped his quill. “Come in,” he called, wondering who it could be at such a late time at night.
-
"Well… I see others my age with both parents… I’m jealous of them for that…" she sighed and looked down. "Its not fair."
"That is understandable, of course. One as young as you should not have to live without parents. But perhaps we can find you a caretaker? Do you not have any friends? Surely there are a few little elflings running around these halls."
"I try, but they make fun of me. They talk with words I do not understand…. and cause I can’t read, so they tease me fir that…." she huffed and puffed out her cheeks. She was usually by herself.
"Well then, the first order of business will be assigning you a tutor. You will have an education just like the others." He rose and sat her down on the chair, then walked over to his desk and wrote a quick memo on a piece of parchment. "I think a bit of learning will do you good. You will have fine company with our tutors as well."
She curled up in the chair and smiled. "Thank you Thranduil... that will be nice. Then I can prove to them I'm just as good as them."
Smiling Evie goes up behind Naem and takes his hand looking up at him. "Hello!" ((Evie-the-Small))
Mamberuon looked at the tiny creature beside him and shared in a knowledgeable nod of consideration “Ah hello there my small friend.” he smiled softly.
"How are you?" She pressed her cheek against the back of his hand. "I do hope you’ve been well!"
"Of course, I’ve been very well, but I have not seen you in a while. How have you been, dear one?"
"I've been.... ok. Just tired... things have been stressful." She gave a small smile and held up a small paper swan. "Here you go! Nana taught me to make them."

She gripped the front of his tunic and looked down. “It was of when they came… the night I lost Nana and Ada….. I keep seeing their terror and hearing them cry….”
He sighed and placed a hand on her head, gathering it to his chest and stroking her hair. “I am sorry, little one… that is not something that one so young should dream about. But your parents are in a better place now, awaiting the day that they will be reborn and see you again… and you are here, safe. You need not think of such things.”
She snuggled into his hold and just nodded. “I know… but at night I keep seeing them. It hasn’t been this bad before.”
He frowned as he stroked her hair, worrying for the young elfling’s well being. “That is strange. Has there been anything upsetting you lately? Have you been well?”

He instantly cocked an eyebrow, though his expression remained friendly and open. He gave a little grin and touched her nose, giving it a playful poke. “Hmm, it does sound scary… but I assure you, there is nothing to be afraid of in these halls. It was likely someone… exercising. Strenuously, I would say. Now, perhaps I can help you with your tea problem?”
"Ada always had tea with me when I had a bad dream…. you know, you remind me of him." She giggled when he touched her nose.
"Oh, do I? Well… I suppose that is a good thing. Now come, let us find you some warm tea. In fact, I will ring for a servant, and it will be here any moment." He carried her to the door and opened it, speaking briefly to the guard outside, then came back in and sat next to the hearth. "Now tell me, little one. What did you dream of?"
She gripped the front of his tunic and looked down. "It was of when they came... the night I lost Nana and Ada..... I keep seeing their terror and hearing them cry...."

She’s peaks in before running over, looking much like a mummy with how much she was wrapped up in her blanket.
He looked down to his small visitor, smiling faintly at her presence. “Little Evie! It is so late… what are you doing here, out of bed? You should be asleep.” He reached forward and picked her up in her cocoon of blankets, setting her on his lap behind his wide desk.
Once up she snuggled against him. “I had a bad dream… and I heard weird noises while looking for someone to get tea from….”
She wrinkled her nose. “They sounded like they were in pain, but at at the same time not…. of was scary!”

Smiling she runs up and places a small box in his hands. "I thought you'd like this." Inside was a white opal in the shape of a heart. {{Evie-the-Small}}
Thranduil smiled as he took the box, his eyes brightening at the precious gift within. “Oh, little one, it is beautiful. Opals are one of my favorite gems; I am honored to be gifted this from you.” He leaned down and kissed her gently on the crown of her head.
Evie smiled brightly and hugged his leg. “I’m glad you like it! I found it and remembered you love the stars, and it reminded me of one.”
"You are very right, young one. It reminds me of some of our brightest stars, Earendil not to say the least. Perhaps I shall have it set to a chain, so that I may wear it when I please." He patted her head fondly, careful not to knock her over with her grip about his leg. "And what would you like in return, Evie?"
She looked up with a small frown. “Why would I want anything? You are already letting me stay.”
"And yet it is only right I gift you something for your kindness. Any lone soul is welcome in these halls, especially one so young." He thought for a moment, then took her hand in his. "Come with me, little one. Perhaps you can pick a book from the library."
She held to his hand tightly and shook her head looking down at her feet. "I... I couldn't read them... Nana and Ada never finished teaching me before.... well.. before."
Tugs at his sleeve holding up a red flower. "For you! Sorry it's a bit late." {{Evie-the-Small}}
Mamberuon smiled softly and took the flower gracefully “It is absolutely beautiful, much like yourself. Thank you ever so much.”
She giggled and blushed hiding her face against his leg.
"Why do you hide such a becoming face? Here," he took the flower and shortened the stem as he held a hand under her chin and tilted her head up. With smooth fingers he stuffed the red flower tucked by one of her "See. It becomes you."
She just smiled and held his hand tightly. "Thank you... how have you been? It has been awhile since we last spoke."
