DAY 33 Sledge. She laughed so bad during sledge races against her brother and friends, that she sometimes peed in her ski suit.
DAY 32 Graves. She liked drawing the ocean, the birds flying over and the sun shining. But once and only once, she made this curious drawing, all in black, with four graves. Each had the names of her parents, brother and herself.
DAY 31 Blood Red. The sunset was so intense that it spread a blood red on the wall of the living room. She was upstairs. Listening carefully. Spying. They were fighting again. Yelling at each other. Again. Suddenly her mother left the house, took her car and disappeared after the bend. She cried so hard that she couldn't breath anymore. She thought she abandoned her. That she would never come back. They divorced and sold the house shortly after.
DAY 30 Tough. That was a tough day. A tough discovery. A heavy secret blowing in her chubby face. The wig, the mocking, the 'madame', the long hair, the 80's pink dress and the fancy high heels. It suddenly all made sense. He was She. And it was unacceptable for her to see him/her like that.
DAY 29 Feathers. She read all of the Adventures of Tintin, watched all of the episodes on television and even got the poster of Tintin in America. It was hanging proudly in her room and she believed that she will marry a Native American one day. A beautiful man with feathers in his hair.
DAY 28 Biker. She drew skulls on her arms for this special occasion: a biker festival. One of them, a robust and mustached man, fully dressed in leather, told her that she had the best tattoos of the event. She was very proud.
DAY 27 Rumble. She didn't like so much the life in the countryside. Impressive nature, spectacular landscapes, infinite horizon, heavy silence, sprawling forests, loneliness, mysteries. As a kid she dreamt of the rumble of big cities. She wanted to live a wild and bustling life exactly like in the movies. Sex and decadence. Even if she didn't know what that really meant.
DAY 26 Mouses. She used to bury in the garden the dead mouses she found around the house. It was always so dramatic.
DAY 25 Madame. Children at school made fun of her and her dad. They were always saying that she had two mothers, just because her father had long hair. She hated all of them so much. And the people in general too. They always called him "madame" when they were entering shops. He wasn't like the others. And the others were judging without knowing, they were putting label without looking. They hurt her.
DAY 24 Batman. She stole the cool Batman toy of her best friend R. And never told him. Ashamed, she never played with it.
DAY 23 Comet. She loved this night. Not only because she spent some precious time with her father, but also because she saw one of the most fascinating thing that she had the chance to see. The comet Hale-Bopp was shinning in the sky like a second moon. She remembers feeling scared and excited at the same time. It was something unusual and out of control.
The next return of Hale-Bopp in the inner Solar System should be in 4385.
DAY 22 Porcelain Box. She found them cute. Twin brothers spending Summer vacation in her village. She liked M., he was the shy one, and he liked her in return, probably because she was the fastest runner among the other kids in the village. They were around 10 years old and kissed all the time. But at the end of the Summer, M. had to leave. He promised to write her and that they will see again. She cried. Indeed, he wrote her once and sent her a present, a porcelain box with two birds kissing on top of it. She wrote him back and never heard of him for years, until that Summer 2001.
DAY 21 Shadows. The house where she grew up was haunted. She is sure about it. And she was very scared at night. There were shadows and unexplainable noises. They moved out and she still have nightmares about it.
DAY 20 Game. With her friend S. she used to play to the police and thief, running in the big big house. S. shot her in the bathroom, she fell and faked being dead. She lost the game. S. came closer and she felt kissing her friend, but she didn't. It was bad, it was wrong, it was disgusting. But S. took her in the toilet, turned off the light and in the complete dark, S. kissed her. And S. touched her. Pleasant and unpleasant at the same time, it was disturbing. It was her second kiss in her life and it was with a girl.
DAY 19 Wig. She found a wig. Curly blond one. Then a 80's pink dress and fancy high heels shoes in that box. That box stored in a kind of an attic. She dressed up with all of her find. Everything was too big for her. It didn't matter. First she thought it belonged to her mother, but then she figured out that maybe it wasn't.
DAY 18 Footprint. She was walking in this forest near her home. She liked going there to get scared of the heavy silence and the impressive trees. But that day, she found a footprint in the mud. Someone walked barefoot in the middle of nowhere...
The mystery still remains.
DAY 17 Pee-break. She hated school. Not only because she was very slow at learning, but also because she was unable to follow any kind of rules. One sunny day, she ran away during pee-break. Nuns, primary school teachers and police officers looked after her. She didn't go far and got caught pretty quickly.
She just wanted to see something else. Something more interesting.
