Your average high school student and his trusty dog! Definitely didn't spend the hour between midnight and 1am fighting supernatural creatures.

He's a little quiet and doesn't really have facial expressions, which makes it hard to tell what he's thinking. He genuinely doesn't mind keeping others company though and will answer most questions! He'll hang out with just about anyone. Super chill and unfazed, he's seen a thing or two in his life..... not much surprises him.....

Might give off spooky vibes despite his mild personality. Acting as the container for Big World Ending Evil will do that to a person.

Never seen without his Evoker. Without knowing the device's properties, seeing a 16 year old wandering around with it may or may not alarm you.

If his dog likes you, he likes you! If his dog doesn't like you, well......

Minato settles down at an empty spot on the edge of Star Trail's sidewalk. At his side are two trays piled high with food. Some dishes are familiar to him, whereas others are completely new. It's all the same to him; so long as it smells good, he'll happily take a bite out of it.

Koromaru sits on the other side of the tray, lowering his head to sniff curiously at all the food. His tail wags in anticipation. Surely, Minato does not intend to eat everything without sharing anything with him?

His patience is rewarded. The boy reaches for a roasted rib. It smells a little like beef, but the merchant had referred to it by an unfamiliar name. It's... probably close enough to beef, Minato thinks, and it hopefully won't give Koromaru an upset stomach. He holds it out to the dog who gratefully closes his jaws around it, dropping it on the floor to tear into his late afternoon snack.

Minato, on the other hand, selects a piece of fruit. It resembles an apple, but its color is bone white instead of the more familiar red or green. He gives it a quick sniff before biting into it, and is surprised to learn the fruit tastes closer to a banana than an apple.

Plenty more food remains on the trays for him to try. It looks like far too much food for a single person, but Minato has something akin to a bottomless pit for a stomach.

There's a strange man slamming his fists against a poor vending machine. His clothing's a bit antiquated, but there are all sorts of different folks that call this world their new home. And thus, Minato spares him no more than a quick glance. It's not too bizarre a sight. Perhaps he's simply frustrated about his drink getting caught in the machine.

But Koromaru digs in his heels, glancing up at his human companion. He barks once to demand Minato's attention. The boy glances down in response, canting his head to the side with a puzzled expression.

"You want to see what's going on...?"

Koromaru wags his tail and barks again as though to confirm Minato's inference.

"Okay."

Both boy and dog draw near the frustrated man, though they keep a safe distance from him. Displeased persons aren't always reasonable, and Minato's the sort who wants to keep troublesome things at bay. Now that they're closer though, he sees not only is the man dressed as if he'd stepped out of a period drama, but he also possesses unusually long arms. If he tried hard enough, he could probably fish out whatever he's trying to order from the machine by sticking his arm through its drink slot.

Minato and Koromaru simply stare in silence, their presences blending in effortlessly with the environment.

There's plenty to see in this strange new world. He'd been so preoccupied with wandering about aimlessly that he hadn't noticed his parched throat until now.

Luckily, Minato's wandered into a tiny side street teeming with bars. Koromaru sticks close to his heels as he gives each establishment a cursory glance. Too flashy, too loud, too crowded -- he treads past bar after bar, until he pauses in front of one that's completely empty. Excellent.

He pushes the door open and heads straight for one of the bar stools, hefting the dog at his side into his arms. He sets Koromaru on a stool before climbing onto the one next to it. He doesn't stop to consider whether the establishment is pet-friendly. The thought doesn't even cross his mind.

And without removing the silver headphones on his ears, he calls out to the woman standing behind the bar.

"One glass of water and one bowl of water, please."
