i think it’s really weird how shippers have turned top/bottom into Gender Roles The Sequel and are stereotyping people’s sex positions based on their physical appearance, personality traits, or even mental health status. “which one of you is the woman??” has evolved into “which one is the sweet soft tiny anxious uwu bratty bottom???” which is arguably weirder and more invasive.

I’m going to say this because I feel the pressure on young people is enormous: You don’t have to date, you do not have to be in a relationship thru your teens to be normal. If you don’t naturally gravitate towards it, it’s okay to make a choice against it! There’s a path towards adulthood without early dating, and if you’re stuck feeling like you’re not good enough to be dated, know that young people’s standards are not realistic, and when real-life values start to hit, you’ll get a chance to shine. If you’re not in a relationship, for any period of your life, that’s fine. Your value exists without it. Other experiences are valuable too.

Alongside this, you don’t have to be popular, in your social circle, or on the social networks, your grades don’t need to be perfect, you don’t have to fulfill anyone’s ideals of what you should be doing or behaving like. Generations that set these rules have also damaged the planet and your lives in advance already, you get to make your own rules. All you need to do is survive, and if there’s any joy you can get by breaking free from this pressure, that should belong to you.
