This month’s drinking game! Whether or not you have a sweetheart this Valentine’s day, everybody can have a kitten party!
Is anyone as hype for the new episodes as I am?! Tomorrow night!
This is it! My year long project, Oh Yes: Illustrated Drinking Games! I’m making games for content on Netflix (mostly) and I’ll be posting a new one every month! Enjoy
“A goblin queen to go with my goblin from yesterday #inktober #sketch #sketchbook #moleskine #pentel #inktober2go #goblin #queen #illustration #kcai…”

Every summer, I get the urge to play Spyro
Some of my summer sketchbook! I post sketches daily on Instagram
Here’s one of the pieces from the End of the Year show! Really missing the beach from the city! Looking forward to getting back to Pensacola in a few weeks!
Hey guys! Normally I post my art on this blog but I wanted to show you the books that have helped me the most with my visual development. Growing up as a voracious reader with an interest in art, I pretty quickly grew tired of the “How to Draw” section of Barnes & Noble. So, here’s a list of books I wish I had known existed:
Comics and Sequential Art by Will Eisner
Graphic Story Telling by Will Eisner
Thinking with Type by Ellen Lupton
Framed Ink by Marcos Mateu-Mestre
They are all equally valuable! Will Eisner’s series is about sequential narrative and I do have a specific interest in comics (as a creator and a consumer) however, I think it’s valuable to all visual story tellers! Framed Ink is similar with a heavier focus on composition. Thinking with Type was imperative for me because I have no natural skill with typography. Any Illustrator will need a moderate understanding of type- It improves your portfolio vastly when you know the basics!
Here’s a list of links to them (in the same order as above):

Here’s a small sample of my self-directed project this year! At KCAI, Juniors in Illustration do a baby-thesis class in the second semester called the ME class! For my project, I did some branding inspired by a local business in my home town.
