The only thing that bugs me about people asking “how did the mom die?” Is that it’s asked in a way that feels like people think I forgot to write that part of the story.

Like it’s a mystery on purpose. There’s clues to hint at what happened, but you’re not supposed to know yet! 😅

The reader is supposed to have as much information as Lucy and Angel (which is not that much). It’s ok to not know things yet. You will eventually find out from the narrative or your own deductions.
