So cute ^^
Try Smiling | Dohee & Himchan
Himchan raised a brow, not really knowing what to think of the female intruder. She was putting on a cute act, that was sure, and her words and actions actually made him frown a little. So it would have been weird if her intention wasn’t to scare him? “So you’re saying that… scaring people is a normal way of greeting here, did I get you right there?” he dared to ask, blinking a little confused as the girl sat down next to him. Not only did she seem to enjoy scaring people, she also seemed to like taking their private space without invitation. At least that’s what it kind of started to look like to him. And as soon as she started asking him a bunch of questions without even poperly breathing in between her sentences, he was sure.
Looking at her for a moment, he decided to stay polite, his overall expression staying calm in contrast to his eyes which kept watching her carefully. He wasn’t sure what to expect to happen next and he didn’t really want to jump again. “My name is Himchan. Nice to meet you, Dohee… more or less” he said, muttering his last words and thereby answering her first question. “I can exchange minds.” He had already decided that these would be the only questions she’d get an answer for, the responses being things she probably would find out herself sooner or later anyway.
To him, it was a bit of a mystery how a person could have such self-confidence and thoughtlessness to just break into people’s places without worrying in the slightest. He knew culture in Korea was different and all, but was this kind of encounter also a Korean standard? He doubted it. And although on the other aspects she seemed to be nice and friendly, his instinct told him to rather keep a distance.
At his question, Dohee giggled and shook her head, obviously finding it amusing that he thought such a greeting was the normal around here. "No no no, it's not normal at all! That's just what I like to do, well, because what better way to put my ability to use? Robbing the rich to give to the poor isn't as easy as Robin Hood would make you think, even when you can go all camo," she stated matter-of-factly, nodding her head in a comically serious fashion. Dohee did have some actual knowledge on how hard stealing from the rich was- or at least she thought she did. In her mind, those daring adventures into the orphanage owner's room to steal some of his candy to give to her friends were a noble acts equal to that of the honorable Robin Hood's; only even more dangerous.
As her mind drifted back to those failed attempts, Dohee unknowingly tuned out his first few words, only snapping back to attention in time to catch his name. At that point she started paying full attention again, nodding with interest as he explained his power. "It's nice to meet you too, Himchan!" She greeted with a smile and enthusiastic wave, not picking up on the last few words he muttered, and how they contradicted the formality he had stated. "So, how does exchanging minds work? Do you like get to read a person's mind and they get to read yours at the same time?" Her head tilted a little to the side as she questioned him, focusing now on discovering more about his interesting ability.
As she considered what his talent actually was, she noticed something else about Himchan. He seemed very careful, almost wary. He hadn't smiled as most people did when introducing themselves, and he certainly didn't seem happy to be talking to her now. Was something the matter? Was he feeling ill? Of course she could not just let these questions quietly fade to the back of her mind, so as usual she went right ahead and asked them without another thought. "Are you okay? You don't look happy. Do you feel sick or upset?" She blinked innocently afterwards, ready to find some remedy should illness or being upset truly be the answer to her questions.

Giving Directions | Bom & Dohee
Bom somewhat did recognize the fear of the girl. She had been lost in the woods a couple of times before too and she had to admit that it really had been one hell of a scary time for her. It was one of those feelings or fears you could only understand once you had experienced it yourself. Wandering alone through the woods without knowing if ever you would reach the civilized world again, you easily started to wonder about all the possible dangerous things that could be hiding in the woods. Making a couple of things up and exaggerating a couple of other things and before you knew it you were afraid for your life. Frowning slightly worried still at the girl, her smile now showed some understanding and sympathy for her too. And now it was Bom’s turn to hug the girl closer to her, even when it was just for a second or two.
Letting go of the other as soon as she let go of her, Bom’s understanding smile turned into a slight amused one. After which she even chuckled shortly but warmly at the excitement and happiness of the other once she realized that she could go back now. “I’m Park Bom and I happen to be a member of the circus too.” She answered her with a happy smile on her face as she folded her hands in front of her. It was good to see the change that meant that the girl wasn’t afraid anymore. “It’s nice to meet a new member of the circus and I’m more than honored to have saved you from the dangerous things in the dark.” As she told the other this, her voice got more of a light joking tone at the end of her sentence. Not making fun of the girl in front of her at all, but merely trying to make her smile once more. “Actually, your savior tends to explore her surroundings too.” She told the other in a gentle voice, “So, do you want to walk a bit more through the forest with me or are we going back to the camp?” Even when Bom thought that the girl would have enough of dark forests for the rest of the day and even a couple of days longer, she still wanted to leave the choice to her.
Dohee smiled brightly as the other girl began to answer her questions, her mouth finally shutting as the listened. Though she was always quite the talkative one, she at least tried to remain silent when it was time for others to speak. Well, at least when they had something interesting to say, that is. "Oh, yay! That's another person I know at the circus then!" Yes, when the other smiled, Dohee decided that she quite liked this woman, and would like to be her friend. If she kept meeting such nice people in the cirque, then she knew there was no way she could possibly not have a great time! Already she had met a few nice people, even if some of them were a little strange (though she didn't exactly have room to open up that discussion), so she had high hopes and expectations that everyone else was just as nice.
"Ohhh, yes, thank you so much for being here!" Dohee could hear the light playful tone in the woman's voice, causing her smile to grow. "Yes, the creepy little monsters would have gotten me if I hadn't found you, I just know it!" She added on, matching the light tone with a laugh. Now that she was safe, she was able to look back at her scary trek through the woods and joke about it as well, knowing just how overactive her imagination had been.
At the proposition to continue walk through the forest a little more, Dohee had to give it a moment of thought, her slim finger lightly tapping against her chin as she considered. Though she was not very eager to go marching through the dark woods again, at least this time she would have Bom there, and the woman seemed to have at least a slightly better sense of direction than her. Plus, it would give her more time to get to know Bom, and hopefully find out a little more about the cirque, like the how often they move and how they even move, as a matter of fact. Dohee had always been the type to bounce back rather quickly from a scary incident, and this certainly would be no exception. Slowly, the petite girl nodded her head, a bright smile drifting across her lips. "Okay! Let's explore a little more before going back to the circus. I hope you have a better idea on where to go than me, though!"
Try Smiling | Dohee & Himchan
Himchan kept his eyes squinted at the entrance. He was well aware of that his eyesight wasn’t the best, but he wasn’t that blind. In addition to that, he wasn’t deaf in the slightest – and he was so sure that he had heard footsteps just then before he sat up. He scratched the back of his neck a bit confused, scrunching up his nose as he tried to figure out the source of the sound. A quick thought made him realize that someone from outside might’ve made that noise and he shook his head at his own stupidness. Of course he would hear things from outside, it was just a tent after all. “No reason to become paranoid” he muttered to himself, keeping his eyes straight as his thoughts wandered off. He hadn’t lived in a tent before. He hadn’t even stayed a night in one and it was something he actually didn’t imagine to happen when he first decided to go to the circus. But it was still better than one of the dark rooms he had been living in while he served the circle in Paris. They kind of always had reminded him of prison cells. Without windows. “BOO!” The sudden appearance of a blonde girl right in front of him abruptly brought him back to reality and made him jump. He let out loud a surprised scream. His eyes widened to the degree it already started hurting as he stumbled backwards and he eventually rolled off the cot. A pained groan left him right after when his butt hit the ground with a bump. What the hell..? He rubbed his hurting tailbone, turning his head just to look up into the face of the young lady who was innocently grinning at him, subtly leaning over his bed. He blinked, still a little in shock. How in the world did she just appear in front of him? From out of nowhere? He slowly got up from the floor, not averting his eyes from the surprise-visitor in front of him. He figured it must have something to do with her ability. He heard stories about people’s abilities here, but he found this one somehow fascinating. May it have been because she was the first person he actually saw perform her ability or not – she just went invisible for him, as if she wasn’t even there. “Boo” he then replied to her very unusual greeting as his heartbeat slowly calmed down again and he walked around the cot to sit back down on it, eyeing her through curious eyes. “You scared me, you know? Is that what you usually do to people you don’t know?”
When the man noticed her and screamed, Dohee couldn't help but laugh, her eyes widening as he managed to fall off the cot and ht the ground. Leaning over the bed to make sure he wasn't hurt or anything, she smiled innocently, barely able to control her giggles at his funny reaction. Honestly she had not expected such a priceless reaction from him. She loved when someone would end up falling, well as long as no one ended up hurt, of course. She wouldn't want to accidentally have anyone break their tailbone due to a silly little prank.
As he rose from the floor, Dohee straightened again, beaming at the man. She didn't think much of her intrusion at all, not realizing that this was probably a large invasion of personal space, not to mention just a nuisance in general to a person simply minding their own business. The girl would one day have to realize that she could not just walk into any tent she wished too at any time, but seems like that moment would not be now. When he replied to her greeting, Dohee couldn't help but laugh, having not expected him to say boo in return. It was quite funny, really. At his question, Dohee nodded cheerfully. "That was the point! It would have been weird if my intention wasn't to scare you, wouldn't it?"
Without asking permission, she sat herself down on the end of his bed, again not thinking anything of it. She would do this all the time at the orphanage, as would everyone else, so she didn't think anyone would be upset with her doing the same here. Smoothing the legs of her pants, she crossed her legs, once more nodding at what he said. "Yup! Scaring people is what I do! Well, not anything too bad of course. I don't want to give them nightmares or anything. I just like to make people jump a bit."
Smiling, she decided it would only be polite to introduce herself now. "My name is Dohee! I just joined the circus a few days ago. What's you name? And power? Have you been here long?" As always, she did not space her questions out, instead asking them as they came to her, not quite realizing that it could sometimes be too much.
Reunited || Jongup & Dohee
Jongup laughed as Dohee proved herself to be the same as he remembered her, hyper. “Of course I remember you!” He smiled. “It’ll be easier to adjust to living here since I know you.” It really was great that he knew some one here, it would save him from feeling completely alone. And to meet her on his first night there? Jongup was ecstatic on how well everything seemed to be. Nothing was better than running into an old friend after all. “My mom?” Jongup had to think about it for a little. “Well, she was drunk a lot, but she was fairly nice. She never really yelled at me or hit me or anything. Not even when I accidentally blew up a mirror that one time,” Jongup laughed a little at the memory. “Yeah, it was nice living with her, I think. I’ll probably miss her.”
He laughed a little more as Dohee talked about the orphanage, if he had really thought about what life was like for her back then, this is probably what he would have imagined. “I’m really not surprised.” He smiled, “I hope you really pranked him well if he was so mean!” It wasn’t a surprise to him that Dohee would get revenge on someone being mean to her by scaring them, Jongup vaguely remembered that even at a young age it was one of her favorite pastimes. And seeing has she had just scared him only moments ago and found it to be hilarious, he was sure that aspect of her personality hadn’t gone away. Jongup was grateful for that, he always enjoyed the girl’s pranks, even when he was on the tail-end of them.
Jongup couldn’t help but stare at Dohee as her skin changed colors, thinking to himself that it must be a really convenient ability at times. “That’s so cool.” He mumbled in awe, staring at her arm with a little disbelief. “It seems like a good ability for you. I don’t really know how to explain mine though, it has something to do with energy or movement I think. When people move I get all this energy in me and I can use it to make,” He struggled to find the right words, “blasts? I guess. Sometimes I can just use it to make myself run faster. But see?” He leaned down and opened his hand to the ground, not fully confident in his aim unless the target was really close. Concentrating, he let out a small blast which left a hole in the ground. He smiled and straightened up.
“I’d love to get some food!” Jongup smiled. “In all honesty, I’m starving, I haven’t eaten since lunch.” He laughed. “And I don’t think I’d be able to find it for another couple days without someone’s help.” With a silly gesture of his hand, he motioned for the other to lead the way, laughing as he followed. “We really do have a lot to talk about. You go first, tell me everything I missed. What is it like here?”
"I know! Now I don't have to worry about making friends, because I already have you! ... Hm... well, I'll still try some friends of course. Already I met some really nice people." Finding herself diverting from the topic, she took control of her thoughts again and tuned in as Jongup spoke about his mother. As he explained about her being a drunk, Dohee blinked and frowned, not imagining a life with a drunk was a nice one at all. At least from what he said, she sounded fairly nice. "Oh, well at least she wasn't mean to you! And getting to know who your mom was must have been really really nice." She laughed as he did, it taking a moment to slowly process what he last said, leaving her curious. "Miss her? Why did you leave?" She questioned with a tilt of her head, thinking that if she was in his place, she would want to stay with her mom, even if she was a drunk.
As he mentioned hoping she pranked the man well, the girl nodded rigorously. "Of course! That's actually how I discovered my ability. I accidentally ruined this desk thing and he was chasing me to try to punish me. I don't get why he was so angry anyway. The desk as so nasty and old, it was about to break on it's own! But, anyway, he was chasing me and I was so scared because he would pretty much beat any kids that did something he didn't like!" At this, her eyes grew wide, getting wrapped up in the story and remembering how terrified she had been. "Well I tried to hide but I didn't too but good, but he still didn't see me! It was great! After that I pranked and messed with him all the time.~" Her eyes returned to their normal size as she laughed, recalling a few of the countless times she caused trouble for the man. It really had been fun.
Again the petite girl laughed as he stared at her arm, nodding happily with what he said. "It really is awesome! But I'm sure yours is just as cool!" Smiling, she listened as he struggled to explain just what his ability was, admittedly growing a little confused. But as he leaned down for a demonstration, she excitedly followed his example. When he made a hole in the earth, Dohee jumped a little, her eyes growing wide. "WHOA! So you can blow stuff up kind of? That must be so much fun!" She exclaimed excitedly, straightening up as he did.
"Me too, I had to to sort of take a hot dog from someone earlier, and that's all I've had so far. Come on, I'll show you the way there!" Dohee laughed at the silly gesture, cheerfully leading him to the dining tent. "Well everything you missed is quite a lot... well, so far it has been pretty nice here! The people I have met have been pretty nice, and because everyone else here is weird, it feels really easy to fit in. I only got here a night ago, but I'm sure you will make plenty of new friends here! But the schedule is weird. We sleep during the day, so I haven't gotten too much sleep yet." Dohee led the way for a little bit, only walking a step or two in front of Jongup so she could easily talk to him.

Giving Directions | Bom & Dohee
Crouching down in front of the beautiful flowers, a small but soft smile appeared on Bom’s face. Flowers always made her reminiscence about the days she had spent back home and above that flowers now also made her think of IU. A girl she had met here in the circus and whom she now helped to not only take care of herself but also with her ability. Leaning a bit closer to the flower so she could take the scent of the common spring flower in, Bom hummed contently when a memory of the garden of the grandmother entered her mind. Of course her grandmother would have this type of flower in her garden. The old lady almost had every single type of flower you could hold here in Korea. Flowers were her grandmother’s passion and life, a passion that Bom didn’t take over from her fully. She did like the pretty flowers and the scent of them but she seriously didn’t know half as much about them as her grandmother did.
Straightening up once more, the peaceful mood around her got brutally interrupted by a very strange exclaim of a girl that sounded both relieved and frightened. Turning around to look at the person in question, Bom’s eyes widened in confusion and surprise when she saw the girl running to her. Fearing for a second that the girl would bump into her and that they both would end up on the ground Bom only got time enough to lightly lift her hands in front of her to defend herself before the other started to cling to her for her dear life. Getting wrapped up in a very tight hug by the other, Bom stiffened up completely pure out of shock and surprise as she blinked a couple of times and listened to the exclamations of the girl. Her words only slowly sinking in since she was still busy with trying to process what was happening here.
“Euhm… I don’t have a bag of chips with me…” She stated sounding both unsure and surprised by the sudden questions the other fired at her. Not being able even to first answer the more relevant questions than that one. Composing herself a bit more after that Bom tried to move her arms and hands a bit. Both freeing herself lightly from the tight embrace of the other without pushing the girl completely away from her. Not wanting to do such a thing because the poor thing seriously seemed freaked out. Putting her hands on the upper arms of the girl she patted the girl in an assuring manner -That was if she could do so- as she looked down at her with a worried frown. “I don’t know what has happened to you to make you act like this, but I indeed do know a circus close by and yes I know the way to it.” Speaking in a calm and assuring voice to the girl she hoped that she somehow was able to calm the girl a bit down. Scanning her face for a moment another question arose inside of her “You’re a member of the circus? Or…” This girl could be really anyone, she could be a member or a visitor of the circus. But she could also be someone that maybe wanted to harm the circus. Normally Bom wasn’t the person to distrust people but after the two previous attacks being a little more cautious couldn’t hurt anyone.
Not exactly realizing how she was invading the other woman's personal space by clinging to her so, Dohee took sanctuary in the safety that accompanied finding another person, even if she did not know her. Everything bad could sound better if she had someone else there with her. Though she had to admit, when the woman said she did not have any chips with her, Dohee was a little disappointed. After all, if they were going to be lost out in the woods for the rest of their lives, they should probably have more to eat than the few things she had put in the little bag on her back. But hopefully this person did know about the cirque, even if she didn't work there, and could lead her back to the safety of the cirque grounds.
When the woman freed her arms from Dohee's and lightly patted her, the girl calmed down a little bit, her hold loosening. This woman seemed very nice so far, and Dohee already decided that she liked her, and ruled out the previous possibly that she was a murderer. When she mentioned about how she was acting, the blonde frowned, thinking back to the scary moment in the dark forest. Never again was she going to wander in there, especially not in the dark. "I got lost in that huge forest and I know there was something there, I just know it! I thought I was going to get left behind and have to live alone forever in the woods!" As she explained what had happened, Dohee finally realized how silly she sounded, and how much she might have overreacted in the forest. Okay.. so maybe something wasn't after her or watching her from the shadows. But it sure had felt that way at the time.
Finally, Dohee released the woman, growing excited since she admitted she knew the way to the cirque. "Ah, really?! Yes! I can go back!" She cheered to herself, clapping her hands in excitement. "I'm a member of the circus! I only joined last night, but I wanted to explore where we are so I wandered away and then I got lost but it's okay because I found you so now I can go back!" Typical to her nature, the girl rambled on a bit, the words just flowing from her mouth without much thought given to them beforehand. After a moment of excited relief, she calmed down again, turning her attention to the woman and tilting her head as a wave of curiosity hit her. "What about you? Are you in the circus too, or visiting? And what's your name? I should know your name since you saved me from wandering around in the woods for the rest of my life."
Try Smiling | Dohee & Himchan
An audible and long sigh left the lips of the blonde when he sat down onto the cot in the tent he had been assigned to earlier, his arms resting in his lap. He looked down at his hands, wiggling his fingers a little before letting his eyes wander around. It seemed a bit lonely now that he was the only one inside, but he was told that he had to share his tent with three other people. This was something new for him. He never before had shared a room with anyone. Seriously, never. He was a bit nervous. A circus – now that he was actually here, he was kind of judging himself for his kind of decision. Of course he had thought through this long enough. His numerous researches whenever he had time to, the restless nights he lay awake thinking about a way to find this place… The countless hours he spent trying to improve his Korean bit by bit. But he didn’t know how to approach anyone here. He had walked around for a little while earlier and from what he saw, everyone seemed so really close already. His gaze wandered down, a bit sceptical squinting his eyes at the ground. Actually, he might have major difficulties, he thought. Not only did he not know how to make a first move, he also wasn’t that great of a talker in the first place. “Splendid” he sarcastially murmured to himself and lay down flat onto the cot. “Splendid…” Another sigh left him and he slowly closed his eyes. Maybe he could befriend his “room”mates at least. They already would be more friends than he ever had before. For some time he was laying there, quietly listening to his own breathing when he suddenly thought he heard something. He opened his eyes to small slits and tried to see from the corner of his eye. He couldn’t spot anything. But he was 100 % sure that he had heard foot steps. Deciding to take a proper look, he slowly sat up, crossing his legs to get more comfortable. “Is anyone there..?” he dared to ask as he looked straight at the entrance of the tent, raising an eyebrow. He wasn’t hallucinating now, was he?
Dohee quickly found out how slow cirque life could be when everyone else was either working or sleeping. She was unable to keep herself entertained for long due to having nothing to store music on or watch movies, and she certainly wasn't going to be picking up a book for any type of fun. And so she took to drifting about the cirque grounds yet again, having seen mostly everything it had to offer already. It was seeming to become a pattern now, that every time she grew bored she would find an area to drift around. But at least now she was fairly well aware of where everything was, and hopefully would not find herself wandering the area until she found what she was looking for. At this point she was really just trying to find someone to talk to, and so far her mission was failing. She could not recall which tent Jongup was staying in, and C.A.P was nowhere to be found. Even her tentmates were out, leaving her to fend for herself against the loneliness of an empty tent. And quite honestly, there was nothing that unsettled the girl more than being alone. To feel secure she had to have a least one person around, but truthfully the more the merrier. She would rather be in a room filled with enemies who despised one another, rather than without a single soul.
Absently walking down the rows of tents, the blonde peeked her head inside one at random intervals, hoping to locate someone she knew, or at the very least, someone in general. She had began to get excited when she found a person laying on their bed in one tent, but right as she was about to walk in they had rolled over and emptied their stomach into a waiting waste can. Though she would not mind helping the person and taking care of them, she really did not feel like accidentally catching whatever bug they had, so with a sympathetic frown she wandered away again.
Finally she poked her head inside a baby blue tent, her eyes widened as she actually saw someone laying on their bed inside. "A person!" She whispered to herself excitedly, retracting her head and quickly allowing herself to become nearly invisible. With a hidden smile, she crept inside, too exuberant to walk carefully and keep her footsteps light. When the man sat up, seemingly becoming aware of her presence, Dohee pouted, remaining still for a moment with the hope that he would simply lay back down. But too impatient to remain still long enough to see, she continued quietly creeping towards him, this time making sure her footfalls were light and barely audible, if at all.
Within a few feet of him, she stopped, directly in his line of sight. Unless he knew what to look for though, it would be nearly impossible to see her, even from this close. Her skin, hair, and even clothes matched exactly what he was supposed to be seeing. After standing there for a moment, the girl suddenly sprang forward, her entire form becoming visible mid-jump in one fluid motion. "BOO!"
