At Edward’s last reaction, Envy simply sniggered; was he really that dense, or was he simply trying to get Envy to say it? Well, he could wait. Envy had already answered his question, it wasn’t required to get into a detailed explanation. It wasn’t really like Ed could make it go away without an actual fight, and who would want that? Envy had already made it clear that it didn’t want to fight, unless the Alchemist pressed it into one. Really, what was all the fuss about? They could have just had a nice walk — wherever it was that he was going, anyway —, if he could just shut up. But of course, when had he ever been able to just shut up and do as told? The world would have collapsed if Edward Elric didn’t follow his own head just for a single moment.
