Cyberlife is a common name heâs seen around the place before now, a business if he recalls correctly. Heâs not sure as to what happened to it after the revolution, but he can only assume good things came of it. Empathetic machines canât be that bad of an idea, after all.
âI donât tend to look like what most people assume the reaper to look like.â He notes the defensiveness of Connorâs action, the arms folding over his chest in a display of self-comfort. So he leans back a little bit to offer Connor some breathing room, providing that androids could actually, yâknow, breathe. âIt is a little strange that you can see me, not gonna lie thereâŠâ He scratches his cheek.
âThat being said, cameras can often pick up silhouettes of ghosts, providing you believe in it.â Connor doesnât seem like the type to actually believe in ghosts, though. Jay wonders if maybe thereâs something he could do to prove to Connor that he is a reaper, though only one thing comes to mind.
He extends his left hand, an invitation to shake it. Maybe if Connor lacked a soul he would go straight through him. âRegardless, Connor. Itâs a pleasure to make your acquaintance.â
He didnât need breathing room but being given the extra space did have a subtle positive effect. He tilted his head to the right, holding a questionable look as he listens to others explain how he shouldnât technically be able to see him.Â
âIâve never met a ghost, so I canât say for certain that I believe in them.â He stated, as far as he knew, he hadnât and he was partly surprised Jay was still trying to convince him of this narrative. The other had nothing to gain by tricking him, which left the possibility open that he could be telling the truth but how could he prove the other was lying or telling the truth for certain?
âPleasure to meet you as well, Jay.â He stated, returning the gesture with his left hand, which he found interesting. Normally one shook hands with their right, which could indicate that Jay was left-handed.
âIf youâre a reaper, what keeps you here? Itâs been a year since Emmaâs death, shouldnât you have left with her?â He questioned, still skeptical. He had been able to touch the other and they seemed normal enough to him while not looking too deeply into the details. He, himself didnât necessarily believe androids had souls but there was a lot about them that he was also trying to understand.
