Memories, Love, Laugh, Loyalty, Promise
Most of the material Ivy found about the legends was pretty vague and incomplete. The reason for which she seems to know them in notable detail is because of the vestiges of Link and Zelda's past lives that reside within her. She unconsciously recalls those past lives, therefore there are things she knows but weren't probably in any of her books.
Ivy seems to be deeply fond of nature. When she gets some spare time, she secludes herself in the woods for a while. Besides the stray cats from Kakariko Village, she takes good care of the animals she finds there. She even befriended a wolf once.
She regards plants and trees as living beings as well and tends to talk to them when she feels lonely. She would apologize before cutting wood if she had to.
(not sure if this is very related to love but??? WHO DOESN'T LOVE THE WILD)
She's very bubbly, as many must have noticed. She giggles a lot but mostly just to show she's happy or delighted. She very rarely laughs mockingly.
(ahahaha couldn't think in anything clever for this one woops)
Her devotion to the legends seems to have emerged by itself. No one influenced her on that. Everything started when Grandma Malon told her the tale of the Hero of Time, and she liked it so much she started to talk about it a lot. Upon realizing the amount of people that was rather ignorant to the story, she felt disheartened, and decided to constantly remind everyone about the Hero's deeds. She eventually felt curious and continued researching by herself and here she is now.
Summing up, Ivy promised to spread the Hero's legacy and since there is no hero in her era (or that's what everyone thinks huehue) she promised to look after the kingdom and protect it in his name.
And hey that would count for Promise too!
