So, if you are too tired to speak, sit next to me because I, too, am fluent in silence.

send me a topic to write a meta about my muse on
I might write anything from a paragraph to a whopping essay, but send me something you’ve noticed about my characterisation or just something you want to know about my muse and I will write what I can!

———– breath taking. Truly.
“I said it in English, didn’t I? Or didn’t you hear me? What’d you MAIM?”
“No, no, you said it correctly. I’m just not used to compliments from anyone other than my wife.”
He looked at the several severed limbs at his feet, and then dropped his sword’s tip to the ground.
“ ‘t was a man. He tried to stab me. Y’can see how it ended.”

“You are absolutely s t u n n i n g.”
“I...Excuse me?” He’s currently covered in blood and gore, with a long-sword hefted over his shoulder, not the prettiest picture.

“ Sometimes, I think the gods are laughing at us… “
“ They most certainly are, mate. I’ve met a few. But then again, ‘ave you seen the shit we do down ‘ere?”

“ERM- Assistant Coach McCall? May I have a word with you?” His head’s stuck out of his office door, and the guidance counselor is frowning with motioning toward the former student. “It’s about Liam.”

The laughter frayed every nerve in her body, she felt on edge, trapped and helpless. She felt like she was part of some game that it was playing, like she was the mouse when she should have been the cat. Instead it was grinning like the Cheshire Cat and she was Alice, fallen into a Wonderland too dark for her mind to even begin to comprehend.
Doors could be opened. She felt more like she was being judged than anything else. That it was referring to the pack as fools. She really didn’t like that. But had they really broken something else while trying to fix everything? That didn’t seem like a leap. They were just confused teenagers, they had no idea how to handle most of the things that were thrown at them, so if they had fucked up, she wouldn’t have been surprised.
It moved around her, hands resting on her shoulders, knife touching her, but not in any threatening way, just sitting easily in their hand, a reminder that it wasn’t in hers. She couldn’t fight smoke. No-one could fight smoke. Her eyes flickered to the dark and creaking door in front of them as it began to shake violently. She jumped as it slammed open, unable to help it as fog and smoke descended around them, capturing everything in darkness.
She wanted to scream. She didn’t. The fog lifted and Allison was looking at the nematon, set out in front of her, covered in little symbols. Her necklace. The Hale Triskele. Concentric circles for Scott’s pack and then it was all hidden from view again, smoke billowing. The thing was gone from her back and was sitting in the middle of the stump, holding her necklace up. She watched it swing slightly. It wasn’t really her necklace, she told herself, that one was sitting in police evidence because they’d planted it on Kate.
It didn’t feel like it mattered. It was still hers.
They were talking again and she listened, carefully, because this was a game and it was having fun with her and every word would mean something, she was sure of it. It held the necklace out to her.
Blood for blood. Her blood for their protection. Her sacrifice to keep them safe. Was it that simple? It couldn’t be that simple. She wanted it to be.
Nous protegons ceux qui ne peuvent pas se proteges eux meme.
“My blood to save my friends? My life for theirs?” she asked, meeting its gaze. Letting out a shaky breath, she reached for the necklace.
“No͠u͡s ̵pr͜o̵t̶egons ͟ce҉u͢x̡ ̡q̴u͜i n͜e ͠ṕeu͞v͡ent ̷p͏as se̸ ͜protege̡s ͝eu̴x meme.͏ That’s right, that’s right. Prot̶ec̀t them.”
It giggled amidst the shadows then, the necklace now spinning in its claw-like fingers. Stolen away from Kate’s body, from the grave it lay in it twinkling in the evening sky. The charm made its way to Allison’s hand, and the being turned to the stump. The smoke slowly cleared, swirling away from them as it brought a finger to the old and blackened bark and wood, and suddenly the world around them rippled.
It was a thousand voices screaming at once, it was static, it was everything and nothing at once and the being in front of her was in the epicenter. Its form jumped with the deafening noise, shifting rapidly in size and shape, going from a grime covered silhouette, a smokey mass, to what looked like a man if whatever put it together didn’t know what a man looked like.
Arms that were too long hanging from mismatched shoulders, fingers that ended in claws. Eyes that shone brighter than stars. The figure turned back to her, slowly and with a shuddering movement. The eyes locking gaze with hers.
She’d hear it then, a voice echoing through the clearing. A man’s voice screaming from a bottomless pit. Not like the distorted being before her, but somewhat clearer in its faintness than anything she’d heard this entire encounter.
“ᴬᶫᶫᶦˢᵒᶰ, ˢᵗᵒᵖ﹗ᴸᶦˢᵗᵉᶰ ᵗᵒ ᵐᵉ﹗ ᴵᵗˢ ᶫʸi⁻”
It faded abruptly, the ripples passing back through them, shaking the wooden frames in the ruins, the grass beneath them. With a sickening noise, the limbs resorted themselves into the earlier figure, facing away from Allison. Its head jerked, and it suddenly swiveled toward her.
“ Nous protegons ceux qui ne peuvent pas se proteges eux meme. Nous protegons ceux qui ne peuvent pas se proteges eux meme. No͠u͡s ̵pr͜o̵t̶egons ͟ce҉u͢x̡ ̡q̴u͜i n͜e ͠ṕeu͞v͡ent ̷p͏as se̸ ͜protege̡s ͝eu̴x meme.͏”
It was advancing now, hands held out, knife brandished in a ritualistic grip, one of the gnarled grips latching onto her wrist.
“ Ag͜rȩe, Ag͜rȩe to the terms, save them. Do it, do it, d̵o̧ ͞it." It shuddered, raising the knife slightly, and stared at her.

“Now? Now? How about you should have told me what we were getting into before I ran into a pocket dimension, had a shapeshifter in my room, ran into a pack of werewolves, and everything else, and did I mention the shapeshifter showed up as a owl???” Teagan ranted, walking into the office of the guidance counselor.
“This is the worst mission you have ever had us go on. And yes, it is worse than that one that took us to Eridanus.”
“Your oclaphobia aside, this is most certainly not as bad at the time we went to space.” He waved a finger, and the door swung shut behind his assistant. “The food here is better for one.”
“Now. I believe you had things to tell me about?”

She’d been wrong to assume giggly meant not intimidating, it was very intimidating as it laughed and spewed smoke. Foul smelling and oppressive. It felt like the air itself was forgetting how to breathe.
Shining eyes bore into her and it was like nothing she’d ever felt, she was cold down to her bones, she couldn’t breathe, it was like it was living inside of her, pressing into every available space until she was choking on it. It clung to her heart, like it was drawn to the darkness that was already there. This was it, she thought as the metal scent of blood (blood?) assailed her from every angle and her chest felt like it would burst open from the pressure, her head pounded like she was drowning again, drowning and freezing all at once.
Then it was gone and she was gasping for air, frantically trying to pull enough oxygen into her body to stop the pounding in her head, to relieve the tightness in her chest. Her knees gave out under her.
It was talking about opening doors. Just like the nogitsune. They’d opened a lot of doors. The house door creaked open and she expected something to come rushing out of it. Wind was all that followed, lifting the clouds of smoke until she could make out a human figure in the middle of it. Familiar. She wondered if her mind was playing tricks on her.
It was talking again. They were talking again. He(?) was talking again, but the words weren’t in any language she understood. They were almost English. Almost. Aefenoffrung. Offering. Sacrificeherself, again. To learn what was coming, to learn of the dangers they faced. But if ( naþing ) could tell her. Nothing could tell her. Then what was she accepting?
“What is it? What door? What’s coming? What terms?”
It laughed again, and the smog swirled around them. Its eyes flickered then, bright and scanning over Allison’s face. The laugh trickled away before a smile settled in the shadows, full of shimmering teeth. A pause, as though considering her statement, and then it stood.
"̧D̶͜o͢o̵̕rs can be opened, little sliver of silver. They open to those w͠i̷l̢͡͡l̨i̕n̸̢̡g̛, those who are brave enough to face what lies behind them....and those f͏̴̀o҉̕ol̷̨͝s that think themselves s̴͟a̵̧̧v̷͢͞io͟r̛s."͘
It circled Allison again, hands coming to rest on her shoulders, her own knife lying flat in its grip. The door began to shake, violently. It rattled and crashed before slamming, smoke billowing out and around the two. And it was gone. Everything was gone, replaced only with a wooden stump. The Nemeton. On it lay trinkets of various symbols: a silver necklace of a wolf, a stone carved triskelion, a set of stacked rings and several more. Closer examination was not allowed, however. A grimy hand, nails like claws, and fingers coated in thick rings crashed into the middle of them, making the smoke rise up and hide the items. As it cleared, the being sat on the stump, crouched amidst its props. In its hand was the necklace, dangling in front of one gleaming eye.
"͝O͜rd́ȩŕ. There once was an order in this town,” the other hand raised, holding the rings, “W̡olv҉es̴ killed the people...the people crafted silver,” its eyes flickered back to the necklace, “And silver killed the wolves.”
It focused on Allison now, and held out the necklace.
"̸Ordèr is coming again. Whether wanted or no͏t͠. Doors not only can be opened, little one, they must be closed. Your friends, your p̛àc͏k̡ left some open, when you fought the little zeǹko͢, the copycat that tried to say it was the Void. It was not naþing,” a scowl, and it looked in Allison’s eyes, and it motioned around them, “This is naþing. And naþing has heed to give. But for warning, one must pay the price. Blo͏òd, so no blood will be spilled.”
Another grin.

It was behind her and she felt herself tense, felt her heartbeat pounding in her ears, louder than her music had ever been. There were sharp teeth right next to her neck and a hand on her arm, keeping her in place. She felt frozen in fear. It exhaled smog and then there were figures, onii, she felt her stomach clench. She felt helpless.
She hated feeling helpless.
It vanished and reappeared back at the house. Was it the Hale house? Allison wasn’t sure, it felt wrong and out of place. The thick trees nothing like anything in California. The onii crowded around it, like they were protecting it, but then they were gone and she swallowed thickly.
It moved towards her and she stepped backwards, trying hard not to trip over loose ground, roots or fallen branches. It waved a familiar knife at her and she found herself glancing down instinctively, as though she might be able to tell one of her knives was missing that way. It was hers, though. No doubt about that.
She was pretty sure this thing was toying with her.
She was also pretty sure this wasn’t a game she got to leave.
“Wh-” Who? Was there a who? The shadows, the onii, the giggling and game playing, she might have guessed at the nogitsune, but this was nothing like that, really. They had been dark and menacing. Not giggly. “I don’t know,” she admitted quietly.
It laughed then, sudden and sharp like the teeth that flashed so often as more smog poured from its mouth. Humans. So predictable and simple. Like flies they circled and dove around whatever thing was declared to be the honey of the time.
The chuckle ended abruptly, and shining eyes snapped to its guest when she spoke. They bored into Allison’s eyes with intent, curiosity, and she’d feel a chill in her very core. A wisp of a hand that caressed by her soul, seeking with a pressure like few had lived before. It was in the lungs, in the throat, the head and even the heart itself, like a set of countless hands probing through her very being The metallic stench thickened for a few tense moments before the pressure ceased suddenly.
“ Ṇ͍̲̐ͩo̘̻͉̝...you don’t know..where to r̋̉̀ͭ̿̿u̧̓̅͋͋n̂̔́, where to ĝ̛̂o͑͌͗͂̚҉. Your friends opened the door, and you don’t even know what you’re running fo̥̻r͙̰̘͈̟̲.͙͇̰̙ͅ"̮͉̤̰̹̦̘
It motioned with a hand and its ringed fingers were pointing at the door of the house, opened and creaking more so in the breeze. As they watched, the crevasse opened slightly more before the door slammed open. The wind funneled through the wreckage, and for a brief second the fog of grime and shadows was lifted letting Allison catch a glimpse of a familiar face before it resettled. The being was quiet for a moment, and then turned to Allison, sharp teeth in a smile.
“B̡ǔt̓̔͌͂̆ you have a chance to, sliver of silver....it you’re willing to be the c̞̬͔̮̘į͙l͍͚̮̯̘̠͟f̪̯̰͉̗͙̭o̸r̺͚, their æ̴f̛e̸no̷ff͏r̷u̷n̕g̛ once again. For only one thing can tell you what it is that is coming, little hunter. N̜͍̗ͅá̗͕͎̹̹þ҉̬̞̱i̛̙̱n̶̰͙̱̥g̶̺͙̤̰̬ “
<
The grin of all teeth widened again, impossibly more.
“̘̤ͬ̋́D͖̄ͯ̀ͣͣ̓͡ǒ̯̺̝̼̤͈ͫ̑̏̒ you accept the t̓ͦ̅̆ͫ҉̜̘̹̺e̱̤̤̐ͪr̜͍͖̽̿̇̽͜m̭͚͔̺̔̅̆̈́s̵ͧ̌̀?̼͓̼͖̭”͍̖̰͇̼̪͝

smoke escaping a dark alley. speckled lights up a skyscraper at night. the business of the morning rush to work. the smell of freshly baked bread and pastries from bakeries in the early morning. the crack of dawn walk of shame. lines of cabs and buses filling the main streets. sunrise breaking over the skyline. neons flashing against brick. lightning bolt cracks in the pavement. sunset streaming through buildings. a theatre district full of tourists and performers. night time rain hitting long glass windows. activity on every street corner. shattered glass littering the concrete. wind tunnels passing through a maze of buildings. churches nestled within high rises. breakfast on a small large balcony. sirens echoing and bouncing off the inner city walls. dirty rivers breaking up the concrete jungle. season changes: burnt orange of autumn trees, light white snow of winter , midday sunshine of summer , blooming flower bushes in spring. crystal canals littered with houseboats. dusk falling and lights flickering on. lightning striking the tops of skyscrapers. vague reflections in the water of fountains. cigarette ashes in the gutter. darkened and empty side streets. lines of people and chatter outside of clubs. fire escapes trailing down the sides of buildings. high ceilings in industrial studio apartments. rainbow hues reflected in glass. cityscape views from monuments. rain gutters swelling during heavy downpour. a park oasis in the middle of the city. new years fireworks lighting up the night sky. airplane trails littering the sky. polished corner offices. strip club pamphlets strewn across the damp footpath. rooftop gardens. oil pools staining asphalt. skyscrapers protruding thick cloud. helicopter spotlights. litter piles surrounding dumpsters nestled down alleyways. window displays of designer stores. streets lined with thin trees. the contrast of the white paint and asphalt at crossings. street views from the bathroom windows. low-lit bars permeating red light.

“You moved too soon.”
@ignisxavem
He stares at the knife in his stomach and let out a low whistle. Ringed fingers came up and fiddled with the hilt, and he glanced over at the man beside him.
“Seems to be the case, right?...” He grinned, and then grimaced as he gripped the blade. “I’d advise you to look away, mate. This’ll be quite nasty.
“Hey, it could say ‘Welcome to DRAGON country!’”
“That it could. But, I venture a guess we could handle dragons a bit easier than whatever this godforsaken town has in store for us, yeah?” His grin widened. “After all, they’re just like big cats, and I happen to own a plethora of laser pointers.”
Most important person in the world to Lucas?
“I mean...when you get to be as old as I am, Teagan, there are dozens of people who mean the world to you.” With that he shrugged, and cleared his throat, “I’ve taken many a lover, as you know, but the one person above all is someone who will forever have my heart in the palm of her hand like the rest of the universe, my wife.”
