「 The autumn sky looked a little lonely 」

I was so attached, not even to a specific person but rather a need/desire to always be around someone. The times of being alone were misery, just waiting for someone to be available. Then situations change and I was forced into being alone. Later I finally got comfortable being alone, and enjoying my solitude. I had stopped reaching out to anyone at all, distancing myself to the point that it felt like an unreachable gulf between me and everyone else. It felt easier to just let it all go and be alone.
The irony of having abandonment issues, feeling I had been abandoned once again, but in reality I’m the one who has abandoned others.
Now I am alone and I am afraid. And finally I understand how it feels to be truly lonely.
