Alright tumblr, listen to this here beautiful music (the song plays twice btw). This is one of my best friends singing a song in memorial of her dad who died March 1st of this year. Isn’t it puurrrty? Shouldn’t this girlie be taking voice lessons and music theory and learning how to be even better so that she can pursue the singing career she wants? Answer: of course she should be have this!!
Problem: her family is poor. I mean, a mom and a sister living on disability with a brother-in-law living on veteran’s disability and no other income with the four of them and a bunch of rescued animals to suppourt and ocassionally other unemployed family and friends. They have no other income to speak of, but they get by…barely. They managed to save enough to buy a really cheap house and now she lives a couple hours away from me, but she needs this help.
She’s been given the opportunity to go to IMTA New York if she can raise the money. IMTA is, in short, a huge gathering of talent-seekers that agents and scouts attend to gather portfolios to take back to their companies. If she does this, she will have every opportunity to been seen (she’s going for acting as well) and heard by these people and she can finally have a chance to do what she loves, and she’ll have the ability to go to college and make something of herself.
Of course, this requires money they don’t have. Fees for IMTA as well as travel, lodging, food, etc, costs way more than they could ever afford. They are asking for help, and I’ve seen this website work miracles before.
Any donation amount, anything, helps. If you donate, show me proof and I will write a fic, draw/paint/macaroni art (whatever!) something for you in return, roughly based on values of the donation. I do not have a tablet, so drawings would be traditional art scanned in, but I can mail them to you in fancy manila envelopes.
So I’m willing to draw pretty much anything that’s not smut, but I reserve the right to change my mind if you really go crazy on me. And you can be assured that I’ll put all my effort into each one, so they will be better than these :)
