even though this blog probably isn't going to be used for its intended purpose at all in the future, i still think about my fantrolls and their dynamics in the theoretical fancomic a lot

i started to wonder why my fantroll lillia is so up-beat and then i remembered: it's because she forced herself to mature under an expectation to be in a position of power

(and she had a lusus that was always on land, deep in the forest, though i think that lusus had bronze blood so maybe her original lusus is dead? p sure her original lusus is a frog...? at least that seems to be my knee-jerk reaction when it comes to thinking about her previous life under-water)

she also forced herself to stay underwater even though it was hard to breathe when she swam around too fast because her too-soft ear-fins would get stuck in her gills, but once she allowed herself to be childish, on-land, and like things, she felt a lot better

she's also a sylph of breath so it'd make sense that freedom is important to her

it's also interesting bc her sign represents a potato, which comes from the earth, but also a hurricane, which is made of water and storm

((This is how I picture the physics of Psyonics to be. Normally a psyonic would have both charges, but some single-charge psyonics like Chyrak (not including Neutral (purple/yellow or singular white) charge psyonics like Aradia) only have the effects of once charge, which isn’t as powerful as both, but still have effects. 

Since both charges can burn out, and have different ways of burning out, if you were to put it into simpler words, the Blue charge is more of a “short” of power, like when you get a power surge and suddenly things no longer work, and the Red charge is more of a “flicker out”, like when you feed fire too much paper or whatever and it consumes it all and refuses to burn anything else, dying quickly after.

The Fugitive’s psyonics are more powerful and concentrated, so he can form heated lazers with it if he needs to, and set things on fire. Chyrak is too young for this and can only warm things up a bit, but like his ancestor, can move things around with them. Compared to Sollux, his psyonics are half as strong, but they still work, and may be less likely to burn out. 0nly a psyonic with both charges can achieve the powerful 0ptic Blast.
