The United Nations have declared that there is a famine in Gaza.
1 in 5 children in Gaza suffer from malnutrition.
135,000 children under the age of five are at risk of dying from malnutrition and starvation!!!
Entire neighbourhoods are being flattened to permanently and forcefully displace Palestinian communities.
Aid workers have been warning of a famine for months. It is here now, and yet, no aid is being let in. Not even baby formula or necessary medicine is being let in.
Their tents don't provide sufficient protection from the harsh weather and poor conditions, often leading to the tents flooding or being extremely hot. Recently, the temperature reached 50°C, which is far too hot for any healthy person to handle, let alone someone who has been suffering from malnutrition and poor conditions for two years!
People have to line up hours in the sun just for a simple drink of water.
Many people in Gaza are being displaced due to the siege on the Gaza strip. They are exhausted , but they are forced to travel to alleged 'safe zones' where they are still at major risk of harm. Safe zones are bombed and hit with drone strikes regularly. No place in Gaza is safe.
Genocide scholars and the UN have finally announced that Israel is, in fact, commiting a Genocide, and it has been for the last two years!!
The US has once again vetoed a vote for a ceasefire. They are complicit in this Genocide and are not willing to end it!!
Israel has attacked the Sumud flotilla multiple times, calling it a 'terrorist flotilla'. This is Israels justification to attack the Flotilla and harm those on board, as they have done before with any organisation or any individual they deem part of a 'terrorist group', even when there is no evidence at all. For example, after the double strike on Al-Nasser hospital, they claimed the journalist they targeted was part of Hamas, even though there was no evidence, and their claims in the past contradicted that statement.
We need to stand up and pressure Governments harder than ever before!! There is an upcoming UN assembly, and we need to pressure the governments of the world to end the Genocide immediately!! Only recognition is not enough. They need to end the genocide, end the famine by bringing aid in, and let Palestinians have the right to their lands and a right to self-govern.
We need to stand for the Palestinian people and raise our voices louder than ever before. We need to speak up and protest for the safety and well-being of families like Alaa-mari's! Make an effort!!
Alaa-mari and her family are displaced in Gaza. They are currently living in a tent, where the conditions are very bad and unsafe. The tent doesn't protect them from the harsh heat or heavy rain. The tent doesn't even protect them from the bullets that pierce through the thin material and threaten their lives.
Alaa-mari's family doesn't have enough money to afford necessities like nutritional food, clean water, proper shelter, and medical treatments. No person should be without these essentials. These are basic human rights!
Alaa-mari's children are hungry and scared. They are traumatised and tired from the horrific situation unfolding around them. No child should live in such danger and despair.

Please donate so they can afford better conditions and proper meals! They need to be able to afford basic necessities like nutritional food, clean water, proper shelter, and medical treatments. They also may need transport because of the siege on Gaza city displacing hundreds of thousands of families. They need to be able to transport themselves and their belongings to 'safe' zones in hopes of avoiding the horrific bombings. Tents sometimes cost up to $1000 dollars, and that isn't even accounting for if they need to pay to rent the land to build a tent on!! Basic food prices have skyrocketed! They have to line up for hours in the sweltering heat to get just water to drink.
Thousands of buildings and infrastructure have been destroyed, including houses, apartments, hospitals, clinics, water desalination plants, and medical centres. Even schools have been destroyed, vandalised, or militarised. This is an act of forced displacement and ethnic cleansing.
Some say that all of the aid is entering the Gaza strip, but this is false. They are receiving nothing. No food, no water, no baby formula, no basic necessities at all! This is because of the cruel blockade on Gaza's borders. Only about 50 trucks were let in recently, which is nowhere near enough!! The Gaza strip needs 600 trucks coming in daily to even attempt to help with the famine crisis! Even the air drops are only PR stunts. They drop air drops on unsafe areas and even on tents, where desperate people are often crushed and trampled. There have even been cases where the food inside is mouldy! There is no proper aid getting in at all!! There is no protein nor vegetables coming in at all! People need these nutrients to stay healthy and well and to strengthen their immune systems to avoid illness and disease!! Children need proper nutrition to grow happily and healthily and to avoid illness and long-term health issues like rickets, anaemia, heart issues, osteoporosis, and many other life-altering conditions that would impact their quality of life significantly.
Alaa-mari's children have been out of school for two whole years!! They should be learning, playing, and socialising right now, not suffering and starving in a tent! Their home and school were destroyed. This will have irreversible effects on their mental health, physical health, learning development, and even social ability! They should be learning crucial and foundational lessons during these vital years to help them in life, but instead, all they have learned is suffering and pain. They deserve so much better than this. Can you imagine how scared these little kids must feel every day? It is heartbreaking to see the effects of this Genocide on the Palestinian children and families 💔
Alaa-mari's children also desperately need proper nutrition!! They should be enjoying balanced meals with a variety of fruit and vegetables, but instead, they starve, and when they can find food, it is only beans, lentils, and rice or bread. They need protein and vegetables!! They need vitamins from milk and fruit to grow healthily and develop their minds! They all deserve nice warm meals with vegetables, meat, fruit, and even sweets! They haven't been able to eat sweets since the Genocide started. Can you imagine a little child being deprived of such simple joys in life? It is cruel and inhumane what is being done to them.

The situation is only worsening day by day and hour by hour due to the siege on Gaza city, the famine, the extreme weather, the mass displacement, the lack of food aid, the lack of medical aid, the destruction of infrastructure like hospitals and homes, the bombing, the deaths, the destruction, and so many more horrific and heartbreaking things.
Alaa-mari and her family deserve better than this! Her children deserve to live, learn, play, and grow like any other children around the world. Alaa-mari deserves peace of mind knowing that she and her family are safe and healthy. They deserve to live in safety and comfort with access to necessities like food, water, shelter, and medical treatments! They deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. They deserve to have their human rights respected and their basic needs fulfilled!
