when your CEO is lowkey just a middle aged man who bakes banana bread and listens to old vinyl records
Having heart issues before death to then having an undetectable heartrate after is harrowing. Where did all the noise go? The throbbing basslines of the bars may be a substitute, but they're a poor one at that.
I've honestly been worried that Cleric Brooks is going to come across as too patriarchal at the beginning of season one, however I think that this could be resolved by portraying him as perpetually drained rather than angry with Adam. It's not like he doesn't like Adam, it's more a case of not having the capacity to mentor someone from nothing and being jealous that he has so much more energy than him, without realising that Adam himself is facing a lot internally too.
You don’t get revived a whole different person. You wake up with the wounds you had before you went under. But you heal (alarmingly fast) and change beyond that. That’s basically what it’s like.
Beefing (entering an emotional stalemate) with my chick (work spouse) while I’m in jail (on sabbatical leave)!!!!!!!!!!!!
When you died and you can't go back to where you were so you now don't know 1) what to do with your future and 2) what to do with the knowledge there isn't a limit on your life anymore but you still occupy the body that you died in so you can't leave that life behind either 😭 😭 😭 😭

As much as I love Pinterest as a tool for formulating Exousia's visual style, trying to find references for the appearances the characters would have is such a pain. Images cannot convey the element of multiculturalism that I plan for the show to have. Time to whip out the sketchbook I guess.
Big fan of the concept of a "reverse halo", where instead of light, a subtle shadow falls about the being.
What are the other Virtues?
They follow the catholic seven heavenly virtues, so chastity, humility, patience, kindness, charity, patience, and diligence (alongside temperance).
How do you see the 1990s goth scene in london playing a role in Exousia?
The goth scene and clubbing in general are quite a large means by which the characters cope with their identities, but particularly for the seraph. Going from a normal life with an established circadian rhythm to rarely needing sleep was very hard, so thus they essentially use going out as a way of justifying her lack of sleep/nocturnalism to herself. Also being goth deals with the thematic celebration of death and decay, so she uses going out to dark spaces a way of reconnecting with the filth of death she never got to have.
Also as another point, the goth subculture was highest in popularity around the time period where she died, so it also partially relates to the fact that she cannot move on from her death (any more info would be spoilers!!)
Roughly, how long is the average run-time for an episode of Exousia?
About 40 mins, I think?! Strikes a balance between drama run times and comedy run times.

In the universe of Exousia, is the faith considered a denomination of Christianity, or a completely separate belief system that uses Christian iconography?
So, from an outsider’s perspective, no. It would be considered too far removed (not necessarily cultish since there’s no imminent false threat to the followers). But I think the members of the sect do think it’s a denomination, but they are aware it’s very niche, and mainly keep the details of their beliefs within their circle.
