THE COMPARISON TRAP⠀ ⠀ [Image by #MarinaAbramovic w/ #Ulay ]⠀ ⠀ The moment we lose ourselves,⠀ in the⠀ face⠀ of ⠀ comparison. ⠀ ⠀ We judge,⠀ and we blame⠀ ourselves⠀ for all those parts of us ⠀ that lost the race ages ago. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ The whole world feels wide and vast,⠀ while we feel small⠀ and caught up⠀ in a ball ⠀ of knots. ⠀ ⠀ Never Enough. ⠀ or so it seems. ⠀ ⠀ While Everything⠀ & Everyone else ⠀ outside⠀ looks⠀ whole⠀ and ⠀ complete,⠀ young⠀ and ⠀ beautiful.⠀ We feel broken & lost. ⠀ ⠀ •⠀ ⠀ We all enter these liminal spaces of comparison, ever once in a while.⠀ These moments⠀ tighten, ⠀ and scrunch up⠀ the very best version ⠀ of ourselves,⠀ into a minuscule knot,⠀ caught up⠀ in judgment, ⠀ & the illusion ⠀ that another’s reality is better than our own. ⠀ ⠀ In that moment, ⠀ we assume we know⠀ what it took⠀ to create ⠀ what seems to be⠀ the perfect life⠀ of another. ⠀ ⠀ the grass is greener on the other side,⠀ or so it seems. ⠀ [ every single time. ]⠀ ⠀ •⠀ ⠀ I am sharing about the comparison trap today,⠀ because it runs far and wide,⠀ amongst all of us. ⠀ &⠀ ⠀ I recently fell hard,⠀ and still hungover,⠀ ⠀ •⠀ ⠀ A few weeks ago, I was on a roll… ⠀ experiencing entirely new levels of success in my business. ⠀ ⠀ I should have been thrilled. ⠀ But I didn’t even take the moment ⠀ to celebrate.⠀ ⠀ Instead, I browsed the internets: looked, & compared⠀ suddenly,⠀ my work⠀ and feats⠀ felt meaningless,⠀ ridiculous, ⠀ silly⠀ at most. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ In just milliseconds, ⠀ I felt my body contract, ⠀ my mind wander off,⠀ into the far away possibilities that could be,⠀ but are not. ⠀ ⠀ I left my body, & this reality, ⠀ in search of a distant one⠀ that doesn’t even exist. ⠀ ⠀ •⠀ ⠀ Friends, ⠀ I share this with you… ⠀ because we have an epidemic of depression, ⠀ caused by so much toxic shit in our environment, ⠀ but mostly caused by the perception of perfection in the world. ⠀ The perception that everything else / everyone else outside is perfect, ⠀ and somehow, ⠀ we are not. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ •⠀ When things shine, ⠀ let’s all take a look⠀ & inquire deep within. ⠀ ⠀ Stop chasing.⠀ https://ift.tt/2IuLoTv

DOUBT. The only thing that keeps us from our dreams. the only thing that keeps us stuck, blocked in our own illiusory reality. of what is/ is not possible. when in doubt/ move forward. take action. move past the illusory reality of the blocks in the way. • Every day, I speak with people who share their dreams with me. The thing that breaks my heart the most is hearing the doubt.. and specially when the doubt gets larger than the dream itself.. when the doubt gets in the way.. then that is the moment that our dreams fade. the moment we believe that our own self-inflicted self-doubt is greater than our capacity to shift our reality from the inside out. • We are creating our reality in every moment, our capacity to create larger realities experiences resources and opportunities largely depends on our #FAITH. our capacity to #surrender into a greater possibility, even when the odds seem against us. They are always for us. I created this company, and work, from the firm belief that every single one of us can make a massive & beautiful impact on this Earth. we have multiple environmental, political, socio-cultural crises happening, all around the world, [in our neighborhoods even] and we refuse to take the time to actually address these issues, to utilize our skills, resources, and gifts, to do SOMETHING, because we are just "too busy with our own lives... too busy, our lives too small, our voices too insignificant, without 'knowing' enough to do anything about any of it at all. There is no excuse.. to be sitting cross-legged like this, our Earth crumbling, people suffering. while we wait for 'experts' to create an escape route to Mars. Our oceans are being trashed. by 2050, there will be more plastic than fish in the oceans... a plastic garbage island already exists in the middle of the Pacific. It is two times larger than France. The fish we eat have been found with tiny particles of plastic. We are polluting our environment, trashing our oceans on the daily. & for the majority of us.. it all feels too removed for us.. so we keep using plastic water bottles, plastic bags, plastic cups, plastic straws, as if this plastic were to disappear miraculously into the ethers. NO. Let me tell you/.. the same plastic we consume on a daily, ends up in our oceans, and it is destroying one of our Earth's most precious resources. I want to tell you a personal story that will help you get closer to your DREAM REALITY… because sometimes our DREAM VISIONS are not all that we make them out to be. Turning the Impossible Into the Possible. Do you ever hear yourself saying… this is IMPOSSIBLE. I can’t do this. I don’t have the money the time I don’t have what it takes. I can’t fall in love.
