@expirator
Hello
Hello my ot3 is zendrahri
Some of the Dark Star champions arise as personifications of the worlds that turned into them .Karma and a world of enlightenment, Malphite and a rich natural ecosystem, Cho’Gath and a famine-struck world, Orianna and a technologically advanced civlization, Shaco and an incessantly partying world.
For Zed, I think a world based around people who looked into forbidden magic and the dark arts would prove appropriate. Dark Star Zed would be a cosmic entity looking to tap into unexplored realms of power, pushing the boundaries of space and time and arrive towards power previously thought unattainable or incomprehensible.
Basically a lot of babbling about going beyond infinity, breaking the limits and all that.
Friendship ended with Galaxy Slayer now Dark Star is my best friend
One thing I do want to talk about is how Irelia has acknowledged she has worked together with Zed because of the Noxian invasion. It means that they aren’t quite at odds with each other than I originally imagined them to be, and I am okay with shifting my headcanons to say that there is some mutual respect between them.
I imagine they still disagree a lot on the right way to go about it, but it doesn’t seem like she wholly condemns his methods and believes that sometimes bloody work must be done to achieve their goals. She probably would LIKE to do things painlessly but Zed is too much of a realist for that.
@alluress @girlfox @heartate this you?
throwback to the time when diana’s writers were thinking of ‘making her lesbian to oppose solari orthodoxy’
ERNYE.
|| continuing from 🌒 ||
|| @expirator ||
Of course he was right.
The woman didn’t intend to assume surrending was the best choice. It had never been. And, the fact she was still among the living meant she refused to succumb to Solari’s hatred. Albeit she was neither an aspect nor a mighty warrior, the Lunari wanted to contribute to the cause.
Albeit her heart wished to see the sunchildren being decimated, Ernye knew both day and night were respectively the halves of the same circle. Still, it was still hard to move on from what happened to her. To move one from the fact she would have never seen again her beloved ones.
«You’re right, Zed. I believe you might have misunderstood my question. It was just an observation regarding many things I’ve been wondering about… Have you noticed people get uninterested on what doesn’t concern them, regardless of how much it’s horrible?»
The Ionia’s slaughter done by Noxus, the torment Lunari had been forced to experience for centuries by Solari’s hands… There were so many things that happened, and they were so wrong the Lunari even wondered if the Gods would have forgiven all these bloody sinners.
«How can they be impassive before all of this…?»
“The world is a large place. Even the sun and moon, as large as they are, only see half of it any given time.”
Zed hardly considered it his job to evangelize the world to his ideas. Even the whole of Ionia, fragmented as it was, would not unite under one banner. But he would band together with those who agreed with him, slowly but surely increasing their numbers, until he had a force that could operate on its own.
That idea was the backbone of the Order of Shadows.
“Do you think you could care about every injustice carried out in every pocket of the world? You would need to be no less than a god, an all-seeing, all-knowing being. That, of course, is ridiculous.”
Divinity was a foolish thing to try to reach. Zed saw enough potential in humanity that he saw no need to change from that nature.
“A rice farmer here does not really care about what goes on in the politics of the Placidium. They only care about harvesting their crops, bringing them to market, and making enough to feed their family. There is just not enough time in the day to worry about others, when people are so concerned about their own well-being. If you consider that awful, or ridiculous, then you are just someone who still clings to the strain of empathy inside you.”
for you ahri rpers
AHRI.
𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐮𝐥𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐯𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟, she can only see the blood on her hands. the past colours her perception in the inky darkness of grief and loss && bloodied crimson of passion and heartbreak alike. she gazes at zed with devotion —— ardent in her desire yet steeped in guilt all the same as she semingly searches for answers in his eyes before he replies. ( how cruel, how beautiful is the nature of her love? )
and ahri reacts with a hollow laugh, sounding like something that was once beautiful. “ i foolishly want you… ” ahri repeats in a murmur as she maintains a slight separation between herself && the master of shadows with her hands pressing against his chest. ( claws resting against his heart as if poised for violence but not yet acting upon such whims. )
“ …and there has never been a plan, only what i wanted out of you —— out of us. ” her forehead comes forward to rest in the curve of zed’s shoulder, one arm curling around his broad back as her tails brush coyly against his hands 'pon her hips. “ how far will you go for me? ”
“Isn’t that the million yuan question?”
Her words drip like honey from a honey comb - the kind where the danger is thinly veiled, where a bee’s sting waits to inject its prey with poisonous hubris. But her actions betray her real attitude, the innocuous surrender that comes with their closeness. Maybe she would sting him. But like the honeybee, wouldn’t it seal her own fate as well?
“Come along for the ride, and you will see just the strength of my devotion,” Zed says, running his fingers through her hair.
Devotion towards not just to his vision, or to their future, but to the life he had created for himself. For a man steeped in shadow, he has never wanted for a meaning to his identity. He is content with the path that he has chosen, even if it should take him over mountains and under hills.
“I see no distance that I cannot reach.”
' I was told by one of your disciples that my presence was needed here, but the last word is yours to approve or deny my brief stay. '
“Is that deference to my authority? You seem to like barging in and making your presence known well enough.’
Yes, Zed did request an audience with Karma. But he expected a tense meeting, where they would grind their ideals against each other until some shoddy compromise emerged from the dust. Perhaps it would still be that contentious, but she seemed in a more receptive mood this time.
Zed motions to a seat in the foyer. “Let us talk, then. Whether your stay is brief or not is up to you.”
CRUX.
“ MASTER. ” Crux wraps hand against the large wooden door thrice. “Zed. It’s morning. You’re usually awake earlier than this. I need to speak with you.” He waits a moment, before sighing. “I brought you food.” He begrudgingly states. – @expirator
Crux is right. Light filters in through thin strips past his tatami curtain, yet Zed finds himself still lying face down, his groans suppressed by a pillow.
He rubs the sleep from his eyes as he rises. One midnight stroll had turned into too many hours contemplating. Opening the door, he puts on his calmest expression.
“This generosity is unlike you, Crux.” Zed blinks a few times. “What is it?”
palms glowing a gentle turquoise around slashed arm are suddenly placed, upon reddened flesh to make it heal ( slowly, yet steadily ) till no trace of oozing crimson can entice curious eyes. — never she would've thought her skill would be put to use with someone so stubborn, yet there's always room for first times and she isn't known for denying a speedy recovery. ' rest from now will be important, try not to chase elders while you heal. ' a light-hearted joke, then a suppressed chortle. soothing the atmosphere is one of her specialties too.
He is loath to bare his neck to someone so opposed to him, and even more loath to place himself in her debt. But Zed finds solace in the healing waves that patch up his wound and recognizes something: he would rather be treated by a competent enemy than an incapable ally.
“I do not do this because I take pleasure in it,” Zed says, putting up a thin facade of protest. Of course - he would only hinder himself and the Order if he kept going at it, refusing to back down like a wounded mutt.
When Karma has finished, he opens and closes his hand, giving his joints some experimental exercises. The patchwork of Ionian healers, as thorough as silk weavers, has never been in question.
“Thank you. I will not squander your charity.”
‘ am i foolish for wanting this ? it will end in flames . it always does . ’
“I cannot answer that.”
Answers were for sages to give, for those who sat back and preferred to preach instead of acting.
Zed does not pause to wonder what could’ve been or what may be, or whether the flames licking at his heels are from his own blazing path. He only knows that he can see a future with Ahri in it, by his side, and he can work towards a world where she can continue to be with him.
“They say a bad plan is worse than no plan at all. If you do not want this, then what will you want? If your desires push you towards me, then I will hardly push you away.”
He pulls Ahri closer to him, hooking his fingers around her waist.
“I might encourage you further, even.”
KARMA.
tangerine sunbeam piercing the windows caresses lidded optics in a silent invitation, when golden light shrinks and shadows grow she knows contemplation has to cease for mortal eyes to witness the present. ——— deep breathe goes in, calm exhalation slides past ajar tiers ; her awakening is measured when her senses are entangled with the ethereal realm, or at least it is when something ( 𝚂𝙾𝙼𝙴𝙾𝙽𝙴 ? ) doesn’t encourage thick lashes to rise faster.
in solitude she’s not alone, no one is when darkness houses beings who make it their weapon. ❛ master of shadows. ❜ one voice speaks for countless spirits, in presence of threats they’re generous with warnings. ❛ I believe your visit has an interesting explanation. ❜
s.c , @expirator.
“My business will be swift if you do not delay me.”
Zed emerges from the shadows with the fluidity of water. His seeping presence does not go unnoticed, but that does not surprise him - Karma will always be an obstacle to meet head-on, and not avoid.
He takes up space in a small alcove of the temple she is meditating in, giving her a wide berth. Ancient inscriptions riddle the stone beneath her, swirling in circular patterns. The power she can invoke from the spirits around them is not one to trifle with.
Today, however, he does not come to bring conflict, but to resolve it.
“A quarry I am pursuing has taken refuge in these lands. I’m simply here to announce my presence so that you will be aware of our operations.”
