You and Colby, as well as Sam, Elton, Corey, and Andrea, had been in Utah for the last week or so. Colby convinced you to tag along on another TFIL trip, and since you were able to get the time off work, you were more than happy to oblige. You loved taking these trips and having life changing experiences with some of your closest friends.

Today had been such a great day. The six of you, thanks to Elton, were able to enjoy another water park all to yourselves. You had free reign to everything so on every slide, you all tried to slide down as one big group, which scared you a bit, considering all your weight would make you zoom down the slide. But, Elton always had a way of persuading you all to do the unthinkable and you always ended up having fun.

After going on the slides as a group, you and Andrea separated yourselves from the boys and went to hang out in the wave pool, taking a break from their crazy antics.

While on this trip, you and Andrea had actually grown pretty close. You loved hanging with the boys, but you were glad to have another girl around. You’d met her only one other time, Colby knowing you were a fan of hers and introducing the two of you, but it was a quick hi and bye before she had to tend to some errands. Getting to actually spend time with her and get to know her more, you felt you could now consider her a friend.

“I don’t know how they always have so much energy.” Andrea laughed. The boys had finally joined you in the wave pool and were already doing flips off the walls.

“I don’t either but its literally never ending.” You laughed. You and her were floating in a tube as the boys were all in the middle of the pool, playing whatever game they’d come up with. You caught Colby’s glance as he was smiling at you from across the pool. You sent him a wink and turned your attention back to Andrea, continuing your conversation. You all moved to the next part of the park, where there was a swing off of which everyone was flipping into the water. You watched from the steps as everyone took their turns after you. Colby landed face first into the water, and when he resurfaced, he had a sad look on his face. He swam over to you and pouted.

“Thank you.” He laughed, kissing your lips, giving you a smile when he pulled away. “So, when are you and me gonna go on some slides together?” He asked.

“Whenever?” You said, confused. “You could just say, ‘Hey (Y/N), come ride this slide with me.’ and I’d do it.”

“It just seems like Andrea has had pretty much your full attention all day since we’ve been here.” He said softly, avoiding your gaze.

“Awe, are you jealous?” You teased, pulling his face up to look him in the eyes.

“Maybe a little. It’s just, you’re my girlfriend, and I’m feeling a bit territorial.” He said, looking over at Andrea, who was laughing at something Corey said.

“Are you worried she’s gonna sweep me off my feet and take me away from you?” You asked, pulling Colby closer into your chest.

“Well, you have been very vocal about how pretty you think she is and how much you’re enjoying getting to know her.” Colby said, placing his hands on either side of you on the edge of the pool.

“Let me put it this way,” you began, running your finger down his chest and stomach, stopping just above the top of his shorts, “one of my favorite things about you is something that she could never give me in the same way you can.” You said, popping the waist band of his shorts against his stomach, his eyes widening as he figured out your innuendo.

“Good. I wouldn’t want you getting it from anyone else.” He smirked, pressing a kiss to your lips.

you spent a couple more hours at the park, you and Colby finally going on some of the slides together. You began to leave once the sun started to set. You all were tired after your day, so the RV ride to your next stop was quiet as everyone was falling asleep.

Elton was driving, headphones on and music blasting, so loud that you and Colby could hear it in the back where you were sitting.

“Babe, I’m sorry about earlier.” Colby sighed, resting his head on yours.

“What do you mean?” You asked, wrapping yourself around him.

“That whole thing I said about you and Andrea. I don’t wanna come off as one of those super possessive boyfriends. Andrea is my friend too and I know you like her and you’re enjoying hanging out with her.” He said.

“Colby,” you began, lifting your head to meet his gaze, “you don’t have to apologize. I wasn’t mad about it. I know you, and I know you sometimes get in your own head, but I’d never hold it against you. But, you know how much I love you, and how much I love being with you. Nothing, or no one, in this world could ever change that.”

“I love you too.” Colby said softly, pressing a kiss to your lips.

Mike and yourself stumbled together to the living room, singing the current song the DJ was blasting in his house, it was a busy Friday and you just wanted to get rid of all the bad things that had happened to you along with the fresh wave of bad luck you just got to yourself. After a couple of minutes, you checked your phone and read the message at the group chat: "here I come" and some cheeky replies, most from Mike, teasing Aryia. It had started! You locked your screen and childishly closed your eyes, hoping not to be seen. "I'm so fucking drunk" you thought to yourself, muffling your own giggles as the clock went by. Aryia entered the kitchen, looking for someone and, after a few second of looking around and passing by you, he left. You let out the laugh you were holding as soon so he got lost in the crowded areas, music thumping alongside your heartbeat.

Then they entered. Sam and Colby were making fun of something, as they usually are, so nothing uncommon here. Your eyes glued to your secret crush AKA your friend as Sam, your best friend's handsome boyfriend, talked to him. Since the game was still rolling and you peeked Aryia's head over the counter, moving was the best option and you already knew were! Downstairs! You were too focused on your own thoughts and plans that you couldn't quite catch the boys subject - even though they were literally beside you; once again, you were unnoticed, talking voices around but you managed a name in your friends conversations. You thanked God you had a spare match of undies in your leather bag in case you slept out - but not under this circumstance. "You can shower if you want to, I brought you some clean warm clothes." Colby offered you.

All the hate you had, melting with his every action. "I'll make you bed," he said rushing to his room again. You went into the bathroom, locking the door behind you and stripping your clothes. you found a corner to hang them to dry off as you showered, the hot water running down your body and soothing your nerves, his soap had his scent - calming you even more. When you were done, you dried off and put on the panties you kept in your purse for emergencies, his hoodie covering up your thighs. you dismissed the basketball short though because they hung too lose on you. When you stepped out, you found a clean cozy Colby sprawled on a side of the couch, on the other, some pillows and a blanket for you. He stopped scrolling through his socials as soon as you entered the living room, eyeing you up and down.

"the shorts got too loose" you explained and he nodded. "well, you look good..." he complimented, your cheeks going red the instant. "so, this is your bed for the night. I'm sorry if..."

"I want to apologize, for real, Colby." cutting him off, you made your way to sit beside him. His lean figure now sat facing you, focused on each word you said. "You showed yourself so lovely and... honestly, I couldn't get more lucky by being rescued by you." he smiled and took a lean closer.

"It's okay, we both have been idiots but I'm glad I saved you, princess," he teased and gave your cheek a kiss. "I wonder how could I even thank you, my prince" you teased back, sitting nearer. His hand rested on your hips, drawing small circles over the sweatshirt he lent you. "You can make it up to me over breakfast, huh?"

"loved the idea," you replied. Colby connected your lips for a moment, his plump pink lips over yours pressed gently. he moved away, smiling. "for now, we should rest, right?"

"yeah, right..." you almost sounded sad but Colby surprised you by pulling you with him down on the couch he had made you a small bed. Luckily the sofa was big enough for the two of you, his arms wrapped around you body as he held you close to his chest. "goodnight, beautiful" he whispered.

"goodnight, prince" you whispered back before drifting to sleep in his arms.

The two of you were with the group at Sam’s place for pizza night. You finished your pizza slices and laid back into Colby as his arms lazily wrapped around you, looking at Instagram on his phone.

Suddenly, he locked his phone and tossed it aside. He lightly rubbed his fingers up and down your arms and placed a kiss on the side of your head. He makes his way down your face until he reaches your lips, craning his own head so he could look at you.

“I love you, Y/N.”

You clear your throat, feeling the sensation coming up your throat. “I love you too.”

“I really do.” He pushes, squeezing you now. “You’re so beautiful.”

The heat crawled its way into your cheeks now. Public affection, regardless of it just being in front of your friends, makes you feel embarrassed; even though you know you shouldn’t feel that way. “Thanks Colby.”

“You’re smart..talented..an absolute gem.” He kissed your cheek every time he added on another compliment.

You try to laugh away the rosy pink shade that was your face and look at him. “Colby, seriously...you know how I feel about this.”

“I’m sorry…” He admits with a sheepish smile. “I just can’t help it. You’re cute when you blush.” He kisses your cheeks, forehead, and nose. “But you know I never do this in real public.”

You huff in defeat. “I know.” A small smile makes its way to your lips and you lean in to give him a kiss. “You are amazing.”

Now, Colby’s cheeks burn red and he laughs as everyone ‘ooo’s you. A nice change as he rarely ever gets embarrassed anymore.

“Gotcha.” You smirk proudly.
