Yoshi’s spending her day off in a music shop. Why? Because she can. And because the owner gave her permission to come play piano whenever she feels like.

So, she sat there, playing piano, lost in her own little world as she played.

The music shop was on Eri’s way home from school. She’d only meant to stop in for a minute just to see how well her CDs were selling, but the girl playing piano distracted her.

Eri stood near her for a while, smiling as she listened to her play.

“Hey, you’re really good!”

“I guess Rei’s a hedgehog then.”

Is there anything you like about Dokamon that you didn't think you were gonna like?

“When I first met Dokamon, I thought he was loud and annoying, and I didn’t want him and the Appmon stuff to get in the way of my job as an idol... It’s been hard sometimes, I’ve had to make sacrifices and Dokamon is still pretty loud, but now I know he just wants to protect people’s smiles the same way I do. I wouldn’t trade being an AppliDriver - or having Dokamon as my Buddy - for the world.”

"Will someone please explain what the heck is going on?!"

“Oh, you know, just technical difficulties.” The girl wouldn’t believe her anyway if she tried to explain that an Appmon was behind everything malfunctioning. “I’m sure it’ll sort itself out, but uh, I have...an important job to get to!”  

She reached for her AppliDrive and ran off, waving at Tsubasa with her free hand. She’d Applirealize Dokamon as soon as they were alone.

“A concert…?” Huh. That would explain the crowd then, wouldn’t it? “Oh… I was just passing through on my way home from work. But I guess I could stick around?” She was so tired. But it couldn’t hurt to stay for a little while, right?

“Oh, that’s why you looked down?” Eri paused to think it over, and then grinned, grabbing the older girl’s arm and dragging her to where the stage was. “Even more reason for you to stay for the concert then! AppliYama’s music always cheers me up after a long day!”

Eri was studying in the library - or at least, trying to study. She’d thought it had been difficult to focus on school last year with her idol activities keeping her busy, but all of the crazy things that had happened over the summer - just weeks ago - were still on her mind and no matter how hard she tried to focus on this one math problem her thoughts just kept drifting back to the fight with Leviathan.

The idol tapped her pencil against the paper in front of her in frustration, eventually starting to hum one of her songs in an attempt to help her focus. 

“Smile for me, laugh, and I'll laugh back.It's because of you that this smile delivers smiles!So promise me you'll laugh, laugh!It's a pinky promise, don't forget crybabies get an explosive punch! ♪”

She wasn’t sure when her humming had turned into quiet singing, or when she’d caught the attention of someone else in the library, but when she looked up she saw a young girl watching her.

“Oops, did I bother you? I’m sorry if I did.”

Female muses don’t have to be easy. They don’t have to be cute, they don’t have to hold back their drama. They aren’t interesting despite their chaotic personality, but because of it.

You might want to buy your friend a new hat, but as for the washing machine if you just stay away from the place it should be fine. I doubt they’d try to track you down for it.”
