Chanyeol’s eyes widened as the other pointed out someone coming down the path. Sure enough, they were on projection to pass right by and Chanyeol knew that there was no way he was going to be able to avoid them. He hung his head, shutting his eyes as he tried to block out the incessant giggling of his friend behind him. Giggles were not something to put one in the mood to dance sexily for a stranger, not at all. He plucked his cap from the grown and slapped it onto his head, pulling at the rim so that it covered his face. He took a deep breath, fingers wiggling by his sides, slowly moving into a beat. He picked a song that he had heard recently, allowing it to fill his head. As it did, his body started to move along, and although his movements were more like a rusty old tractor than that of a sexy man gliding through the air, he did it nonetheless, his face expressing bliss as he danced horribly. He did his best to avoid eye contact with the girl who, to his horror, had decided to stop and watch rather than walk along by him. He wanted to panic but he fought to keep composure. If he just quit, Hyunsik would never let him hear the end of it.

Was she ever going to leave? As she stood there, giggling behind her hands, Chanyeol was finding that he was quickly running out of move ideas. He had to end this song and end it quickly, before a crowd formed. He could help but bitterly think that this dare was much worse than the one that he had given his friend, and that they were in no way even now. He was going to get it. Stepping out, dropping himself into a hip roll, he straightened up and took a bow, all the while making sure that the girl couldn’t look him in the face. He tugged at the brim of his cap again, just to be sure. His face flushing, although not visible to those nearby, he scampered back to the tree and hid behind the opposite side of the trunk where Hyunsik was sat.

"What the fuck man" He whined from around the tree, scratching at the rough bark absently, pulling off bits and tossing them aside. “That was not at all an even trade!" He whined, his voice cracking slightly in annoyance. He rubbed at his throat, clearing it a few times as he remained slumped against the trunk. He peered around his hiding place and the girl was still there, her phone in her hands. It appeared that she was typing out a message. The smile she was wearing only plainly said that she was just reliving the moment to a few friends, most likely. He shuddered in embarrassment and withdrew back to behind the oak. He slowly tapped the side of his head against the tree, groaning all the more. “Why did you make me do that? I was like some kind of 80 year old man out there. My hips don’t move that way."

Hyunsik just couldn’t contain his laughter as the other had finally begun dancing “sexily” in front of that girl passing by. He found it even funnier that she had stopped and had not kept moving like they thought she was. The boy literally had tears in his eyes from laughing too hard and his stomach had begun to hurt from it. He held his stomach as he continued to cackle in amusement. Boy, did Chanyeol really suck at sexy dancing. He was extremely terrible at it, but anyone could tell that the girl had found it truly entertaining. It was all in her face and the giggles escaping her lips were also proof. The way Chanyeol moved his body made it impossible for someone not to die from not being able to breathe.

He howled, not being able to keep any of his emotions in. He was shaking so much while continuing to roll his body against the grass. Hopefully he hadn’t gotten any grass stains on his clothes while doing so, but where’s the fun in that, right? He was wondering when the girl would continue on her way, though it seemed as if she was not going to budge any time soon. She was enjoying the wonderful performance in front of her. He couldn’t help but snort for the trillionth time. “Ohmygod,” he squealed with delight, watching as Chanyeol continued. He wasn’t sure if he, himself, was making a fool out of himself, though he sure as hell did not care at that exact moment. This was too funny to pass up. Revenge was sweet.

The moment his friend returned back to the tree was the moment he stopped cackling like an idiot for a minute. He tilted his head before bursting into life again. He reached over to place a hand on his complaining friend on the shoulder. “That was great, dude. It was fantastic watching you dance sexily, really,” he stated, a grin forming. His giggling fit had ceased down and he just stared at Chanyeol teasingly. “C’mon, dude. It wasn’t that bad… Nothing too horrid. Actually.. Well nevermind. You did great. The girl seemed to love your ‘sexy dancing’.” He made quotes with his fingers as he said sexy dancing.

In a stunning turn of events, Gayoon found herself craving cupcakes. It wasn’t the usual sweet that she craved, which was why it felt strange for her to be caving cupcakes. Her usual sweet tooth wanted macarons, and sine she loved baking macarons this was never usually a problem but now she wanted cupcakes. And being at school, she couldn’t bake herself any and everyone knew that homemade cupcakes were always the best. But she’d settle for some store bought ones since she really had no choice in the matter.

A previous conversation about cupcakes floated to the forefront of her mind… in the forest… ah. It was that guy, the one with the Emolga that Kira had become best friends with in a matter for minutes. Looking down at the said Pokemon, she tilted her head, smiling a bit. “Kira, do you want to see Emolga? It’s been a while, right?" The excited chattering she got back was answer enough and she sighed, pulling out her phone. It would be okay right? She did remember him saying he wanted cupcakes but they never actually ended up going. And he had told her to call whenever. And it had been a week or so since that one day they hung out. Whatever.

[ Message Sent : Hyunsik ] Hey. It’s Gayoon. Kira’s missing your Emolga and I want cupcakes. You up for some?

Hyunsik had been lounging about on his bed in his dorm room. He had nothing to do at that precise moment, boredom overtaking him. None of his pokemon were out of their pokeballs, and he was debating whether or not he should let one out so that they could go for a walk or something. Groaning, he turned his body on the mattress, his stomach pressing against it. He nuzzled his pillow, arms going under it. The coolness of the pillow felt sensational, and it made him begin to feel rather sleepy. He reached forward and pulled his blanket over his body, letting himself get cozy.

He didn’t know when his eyes had shut down on him, though he had to admit that the forty minute nap was pretty darn good one. He lifted his body to get into a sitting position on the bed, his legs and feet dangling below. With pursed lips, he began to ponder on what he would do for the rest of his afternoon. Finally standing up, he went over to his desk where his laptop had been. He sat on his rolling chair and opened the laptop carefully. He had been close to turning the laptop on when suddenly he heard his phone go off. He jumped out of the chair and made his way towards his phone, which was on his bed where he had just awoken from. With phone finally in hand, he pressed ‘view message’ and before him was a text from Gayoon herself.

A huge smile spread on his face, fingers working quickly on replying to her message.

{ Message Sent : Gayoon } Hey! I was wondering when you would text me. :P Emolga’s been missing Kira as well and cupcakes? AW YEAH. I’m definitely up for some.

She stopped in her steps, the tugging on her ear from Kira making her wonder what the Pachirisu wanted. He pointed towards the Emolga, currently nesting in Hyunsik’s hair, and gestured back towards himself, chattering all the while and making big motions with his little paws. She patted him on the head, before sighing and turning to the other guy. “Yeah I guess so," Gayoon replied, her hand in her pocket and her other hand resting on the strap of her backpack. There was a slight prodding to her head and she sighed again, her fingers finding her phone in her pocket and playing with the edge of the machine for a bit before pulling it out and swiping her finger across the screen after turning it on and opening to the contacts page.

"I think Kira’s telling me he wants to see Emolga again," she explained, in which the Pachirisu on her shoulder nodded excitedly, chattering loudly to the Emolga who had sat up at the words, and she shook her head, an amused smile on her face. “I don’t we’d be … lucky … enough to randomly run into one another again, so —" Cutting herself off, she offered him the phone in her hand, hoping that he’d take the hint and just punch his number in so she could leave to take her nap.

“Oh,” he chirped, slightly surprised as he took the phone from her hands. He couldn’t hold his giggles in, but he ended up recomposing himself. He immediately pressed the digits of his number into her phone, saving it in to her contacts after. Once he was done, he handed her phone back to her. “There ya go~ Call whenever, I guess. Emolga will be happy to hang out with Kira again,” he stated with a slight nod. Emolga squeaked giddily at his statement, resulting in Hyunsik playfully rolling his eyes. Emolga noticed this and pressed his cheek on his hair lovingly. “So.. see you around, Gayoon” he grinned. “I’ll be expecting a call from you soon.” He meant it too. Though knowing Emolga, he wouldn’t want to be separated from the other for too long so he was sure they would be meeting up soon. After bidding their farewell, he and his pokemon made their way towards the cafeteria. “Food time, and then a good ole’ nap.” All was good.

"I think we should leave it for another time," Gayoon replied, leaving it pretty much open ended for him to decide on whether they would meet again or not. Though the school was huge, it was extremely easy to bump into people you knew if you frequented the same spots all the time. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to go tree climbing — heck it was one of her favorite things to do, finding a nice tree and climbing to the top to find a nice spot to nap — but her foot sort of hurt from where she had stepped on the rock and she was no longer in the mood to clamber up the rough bark of tree trunks, even though she was direly in need of a long nap. All she wanted to do was keel over somewhere comfortable and not wake up until the next morning at least. She only nodded at his observation, which was strange considering she was the type of person who was quick to jump down a person’s throat for pointing something out that was so obvious with her usual sarcasm and jabbing remarks, but she didn’t feel as though it would do anything to him. He seemed to be the type who wasn’t as affected by things like that, and so she didn’t bother, neither of them speaking again until they reached the meadow.

As they entered, Kira looked up mid-chatter and ran down the tree to her side, a paw reaching out as she knelt down to pat her cheek as though he knew she was tired and couldn’t wait to get back to the dorm. He turned to the Emolga who had followed and said something before climbing onto her shoulder. Gayoon had half a mind to just leave, making her way over to the mossy log they had sat on before and picking up the, now empty, container she had left there before realizing that although Kira had given his consent to be parted from the other Electric Pokemon, he had not stopped staring at his new friend yet. So with a sigh, she made her way back to Hyunsik’s side, trying for a smile. “It was nice meeting you," she said, “but we should probably head back to the Academy now, yeah?" She started walking in the said direction, hoping that he would fall into step with her.

The minute they had stepped foot back into the meadow, the Pachirisu came running down the tree, his Emolga following by gliding through the air and landing next to him. Hyunsik grinned down at his pokemon before bending down to pick him up in his arms. The Emolga struggled to get free and before he knew it, his pokemon was on the top of his head once again. He shook his head playfully, resulting in Emolga to cling tighter onto him. “I’m tired, baby,” he pouted before returning his attention back to Gayoon. “It was nice meeting you too,” he smiled, bowing a little. He gave a quick nod before following in her foot steps back to the academy. This time he didn’t stick too close to her. He walked a bit slower so that he could be a bit behind. There was really no reason on why he did so. Or maybe there was but he didn’t know what the reason was. They weren’t too far from Regalis now. They would be there in no time so he quickened his pace a bit. Emolga lightly tugged on his hair to stop him from moving too quickly, frightened that he would fall off if he went any faster.

His face brightened as he spotted the academy up ahead. He was ready to go get some more food and then head to the dorm to only jump on his bed to take a long nap. It sounded like such a good plan in his head. He was ready to take action on it once on school grounds. A few more steps and he would rush to the school cafeteria again to grab pizza or another sandwich. Then off to his dorm he would go. Entering the school grounds, he finally caught up with Gayoon, standing side-by-side now. He shot another smile. “I guess this is where we bid farewells. We had fun today,” he stated, referring to he and Emolga.

Her heart was pounding from the near fall, and she felt warm all over. She wasn’t a klutz, usually having the most sure footing out of all the people she knew so she was still a bit in shock at what happened, her mind reeling from pitching sideways towards the ground so quickly and it took her brain a moment to take in what had happened as he helped her regain her balance. “Yeah, I’m okay," she quickly replied, glowering a but, moving out of his reach and brushing herself off, feeling a bit shaken by what had just happened. Looking at the ground, she located the rock she had stepped on and made her way over to it before picking it up, reeling her arm back and throwing it over to some bushes and out of the way. She dusted off her hands daintily, glaring in the direction that she had thrown the rock before muttering under her breath: “Stupid rock." Making her way back to where Hyunsik was standing — attempting not to show how pissed she was by she trying to not stomp her feet — she shook her head, annoyed that she had practically made a fool of herself in front of someone she didn’t know at all and she suddenly regretted going along with him instead of just allowed Kira to play with his Emolga and then coming back to get him later.

"No, it’s okay," she tried to reassure him. The guilty look in his eyes when she looked up at him made her feel bad for making such a big deal out of slipping on a rock. “It’s not your fault… if anything, I should’ve been paying more attention to where I was walking instead of the surroundings." She was never one to apologize though, so he would have to deal without one and make due with her taking the blame. If she could barely apologize to Taemin when she was a bit too mean in making fun of him, or her parents when she did something she wasn’t supposed to, there was not really a way for her to be able to say sorry to someone that she barely knew. And barely knew was an understatement in the case of Hyunsik. She knew his name, where he was from and his favorite cupcake flavor. Those few facts didn’t necessarily make them even the slightest acquaintances. Remembering that they had planned to have a faux-competition in tree climbing, she tested her leg. It throbbed a bit from the slip but it didn’t hurt too badly that she couldn’t do what she did pretty much everyday. “Should we head back?" Gayoon asked, checking her watch. They had been walking for a good twenty minutes already.

“Yeah, sure. I think that would be best for now,” he sighed, shoving his hands in his jeans pocket once again. “Are you sure you’re okay?” He was still a big cautious about the accident although it wasn’t something to make a huge deal of. He was just trying to clear his conscious of the guiltiness and make sure that she wasn’t hurt as he didn’t want her to be in any pain of any sort. He turned his heels back to the way they had came and began walking back to the location where they had left the two squirrel-like pokemon to their chattering. He began to wonder what the two were up to. They seemed to have a lot of fun talking when he and Gayoon had left them. He had never seen Emolga bond so quickly with any other pokemon before. It was outstanding to him, seeing his baby make a bond with another. Now if only his other pokemon were as sociable as Emolga than they could have friends too.

As they made their way back, he casually played with the dirt path with his shoes, making specks of it flow with the light breeze. His shoes were getting dirty, of course, but he really didn’t mind at that moment. Minutes passed as they strolled their way back, getting closer and closer to their destination. “Are you still going to want to tree climb or do you want to leave that idea out,” he asked, glancing at her before turning back to look straight ahead. The tree climbing was tempting; however, he didn’t feel like it was a good time to do it. Plus, he was growing tired and he just wanted to sit down somewhere to rest for a while. He sure hoped his Emolga felt the same. If not, let’s just say that he would be kind of screwed. Knowing his pokemon, it probably wouldn’t want to be separated from the other until who knows when. “We’re getting closer to the meadow,” he pointed out, not caring if it were obvious that they were.

"Mm, it’s okay I guess." She wasn’t in love with her city, like he apparently was with his, but she wouldn’t deny that it did have it’s nice points. Like how the water after the edge of the dock was always a bright, glistening blue and the wild Pokemon were often friendly enough to play with young children though they would disappear back into the water with haste when anyone older than ten approached them as to not be caught. Yes there were definitely some good points about Lilycove and didn’t mind living there, which was good. “Yeah, baking is one of my favorite things to do. I spend a lot of time looking up recipes even though I know most of the ones I use by heart," Gayoon said, her mind on baking, not noticing her mouth had practically gained a mind of its own with how much she was unwillingly telling Hyunsik. Hearing the way his voice sort of gushed at the thought of red velvet cupcakes, and the way it matched with how she felt about them, she couldn’t help but smile. “I guess this means we should go get some later maybe," she offered, though she couldn’t stop herself from adding, “Though store-bought ones are never as good as home made ones."

Gayoon turned her attention off of the topic of cupcakes, trying to recall how much she had said during the few minutes that they had been walking and how much she might have said without wanting to. She was vaguely aware of him walking next to her, most likely just as equally lost in the rosy haze of the world of cupcakes. Yes, she was definitely going to get cupcakes later. Immersed in her thoughts, she didn’t notice the slanted rock in front of her, which of course meant that she stepped on it and promptly slid off, sending her careening sideways and practically into Hyunsik. She let out a gasp, regaining her balance a bit late as she had never had her center of balance thrown off as much as she just had. And she couldn’t help but feel secretly thankful that he was there or she would’ve been in a pile on the forest floor … before she realized that if she hadn’t met him in the beginning she wouldn’t be there either and her slight irritation from before set back in. “My bad," she muttered, hoping he would be able to settle for that instead of a real apology.

He looked at her with a soft expression as she blabbered on about baking, finding it really cute for some reason that she was talking about something that she liked. This was a good start to a conversation since he had finally found out something about her. He was making huge progress and it made him want to learn more about her so that they could be friends at least. In all honesty, Hyunsik was bad at memorizing things and to top that, he was a horrible baker as it was. Oh well, that’s what mothers are for, right?, he mused, a small pout forming on his lips. His eyes lit up rather quickly. She had completely read his mind somehow. Well, he did go around gushing about his favorite cupcakes, but still. Get cupcakes later? That sounded like such a great proposition in his head. When was the last time that he had a chocolate cupcake? Oh right, on his last day at home before coming to Regalis. His mother had made a batch for him before he had been sent off by both parents. “Home mode cupcakes are truly the best. My momma always makes me a batch of chocolate ones every time I go back home on vacation,” he enthused.

Next thing lead to another, and then he had been holding onto her, frightened that she would fall over. “Woah.” Everything happened so fast that his brain couldn’t comprehend 50% about what had just happened. It took a few seconds before he realized that she had slipped on something. A rock, maybe? “Are you okay,” he breathed out, continuing holding onto her. He was slightly afraid that she would get annoyed at him or something, but surprisingly that wasn’t the case; unless she had been trying to hide it, that is. He carefully grabbed her arms and pushed her up so that she could stand straight once again. He smiled apologetically at her, a hand going to the back of his head to frill his hair nervously. It hadn’t been his fault, yet he still felt regretful about it. “It’s fine,” he started off. “Ah, I somehow feel like this is my fault though. I don’t know, but I’m sorry.” Because of instinct, he was going to ruffle her hair, however he stopped himself from doing so. She probably wouldn’t like a stranger touching her hair. “Sorry again.”

Lounging in the grass, without a care in the world, Chanyeol had almost forgotten that he was about to reap what he sowed. On his back, dappled green light freckling his t-shirt, Chanyeol had a smile on his face, enjoying the fresh air and his recent victory in making Hyunsik look like an idiot. He flipped onto his stomach, elbows digging into the soft earth as they propped up his head, balled fists resting against either side of his face as he grinned at the other. It took him a moment to realize what Hyunsik was saying but as it dawned on him, his face slowly began to fall, as if melting in the summer sun. “Wait." he said slowly, brows coming together in the middle. “Wait, you want me to do what?" He stammered, sitting up straight suddenly, staring at his friend with bewilderment.

Had he really heard him right? Did he say sexy dance? Chanyeol’s head seemed to be spinning. Dancing was certainly not his forte, and his sexy dancing was even more atrocious Watching his try to move his hips was like trying to watch a fat kid jump rope; it just wasn’t pretty. He flinched at his own minds image, imagining how mechanical and robotic his movements were going to be. “Seriously? I move like a rusty tin can" He whined, frowning at Hyunsik, but he knew that there was no arguing at this point. Chanyeol remained plastered to the ground. He could get up, he could, but then that meant that he would really have to start dancing for the next person to pass by. He could run away, but Hyunsik was quick, and he wasn’t confident that he would be able to get away without suffering repercussions.

Finally, hanging his head, Chanyeol slowly got to his feet, using the trunk of the damn tree he made Hyunsik lick as a support. When he realized what tree it was, he wrinkled his nose and wiped his hand on his shorts, as if he had gotten Hyunsik spittle all over them. He squinted, one hand over his eyes as he searched the surrounding area. The next person to come by would be the lucky one. So far, the place was deserted, but he was sure that, with his luck, some sexy, gorgeous girl was going to walk down, and he was going to have to wiggle around like a fish out of water in front of her. He glared back at Hyunsik. His dare hadn’t been nearly this bad. He promised that revenge would be sweet.

Hyunsik smirked victoriously at Chanyeol’s now flustered facial expression. He was considering to take away the dare at first, but why do that when he could see his friend make a fool of himself? This was way too much fun to pass up and he knew it. The boy shrugged casually. “You heard me. Pretty sure I didn’t stutter that dare out, Yeol.” His fingers dug into the blades of grass beneath him, tugging at the strands and occasionally pulling some of them out to only throw them back to the ground. He snorted at the thought of his friend doing a sexy dance in front of another person. The other couldn’t dance sexily to even save his own life. He reached over to the other and pat his cheek, grinning cheekily at him before returning to his previous spot.

Giggles escaped from his mouth, a hand reaching up to it to calm himself and stop laughing like an idiot. The show hadn’t even started yet and here he was dying of laughter. He didn’t want all of his energy to go to waste by just thinking of the uncomfortable scenario. He had to contain himself, he just had to. Removing his hand away, he stared out in the open where Chanyeol would make a fool of himself. He was anxious about who the next person to walk by would be. He was hoping that it would be a guy because that would be even funnier, but a girl would be good too now that he thought about it. “Seriously,” he reaffirmed, nodding his head. “I know you do. Why do you think I chose this exact dare? C’mon dude. It can’t be that bad. It’s not like you’re going to die anyway.”

He began to jump up and down, or at least try to as his legs were criss-crossed while he was sitting down. It felt like he was hyperventilating and the excitement within him couldn’t be contained at all. The moment his friend glared at him, he looked at him with an innocent look and smiled ‘sweetly’ at him as if nothing major was about to happen. “I love you, bro. Make me proud!” He gave two thumbs up before falling to his side, flailing a bit as he did so. He stayed on his side, patiently waiting for the next person to pass by. Damn this day for being such a slow one. His eyes widened slightly as he saw a figure in the distance walking their way. “Someone’s coming! Get ready to get your groove on, homie,” he snickered, rolling on the green grass in excitement. He could not wait for this to happen.

And I haven’t been out of my dorm for like a week so I thought I’d go to the beach! (` nods in the direction of his Zoroark who was standing on the shore) Nyx is mad at me for dragging him into the water. (` laughs, dropping his hand from the other’s shoulder and sliding it into his shorts’ pocket)

What If I Said I'm Sleep Walking?

"My parents are archaeologists," Yijung stated. He kept his eyes on the silhouettes of trees above them, the few patches of dark sky he could see between their branches. There was a rustle in the distance, probably as a Pokemon moved through the brush.

Yijung should have been scared. Wild Pokemon were known to be territorial and aggressive, but he couldn’t stop his excitement. Maybe he had a bit of a daredevil streak in him?

"They go all over Unova, digging up clues to the history of Pokemon and researching how our world has shaped over the past few hundred years. Before I left home to study at Regalis, they were looking into the origins of Cofagrigus and a few months before that, they were studying Mandabuzz bones."

He always thought it was exciting work. His parents seemed to enjoy it. They went around the region, doing what they loved, and their research and findings were always being rotated in and out of the Nacrene City Museum.

However, he didn’t want to keep talking about his parents in case the conversation between them got a little too heavy. “I love bug types enough that I actually wouldn’t mind having a whole team of them, maybe even being a gym leader. Is that possible? You think I can do that?"

He listened as the younger spoke, bobbing his head occasionally to the words that slurred from the other’s mouth. It was interesting; the whole parents being archaeologists’ thing. That must have been a huge job, at least in his opinion. Exciting too since they would dig old stuff up and discover new information about the past.

“Hm, that’s intriguing. They must have a lot of time on their hands then. Awesome dedication they have there. It’s great that they do all of that stuff, really.” He opened his mouth once more to speak, but instead his head snapped to the side, eyes narrowing. Don’t be a wimp, Hyunsik, he mused. Just keep moving forward.

With a pout, he shoved his hands into his warm jacket pockets, silently cursing at the wind afterwards without a care. Two of his pokeballs were in there, his hands grasping onto them just in case something were to come up. After all, he had to be prepared for anything.

“Anything is possible if you put your mind to it, Yijung! I don’t think you can because I know you can. Just keep doing your best and continue to work hard to achieve your goal. Put your all into it and you’ll get far, I’m sure of it!”

"Goldenrod? I’ve been there a few times… I think," she replied after a moment of grappling with her thoughts to see if the city sounded familiar at all to her. And it did. She was almost a hundred percent sure that her dad had dragged her along to visit some of his old competition from back in his old days of travelling the land and getting badges from all the cities. At the thought of badges, it clicked in her mind when she had been there. “Ah, no, yes I have," Gayoon corrected her own doubting thoughts, remembering that she had beaten the Gym Leader there before and had the Plain Badge from the city. She didn’t bother elaborating though, as he had only asked her if she had been there before, not why she had ever visited. She also didn’t remember if it had been a really pretty city or not, considering she had been about sixteen or so and had only the badge in her mind then, and not having returned since. “I’m from Lilycove City, from the eastern side of Hoenn. There isn’t a Gym there so I’m assuming you wouldn’t have been there before."

She continued walking, her interest in the fleeting conversation had diminished after answering his question, though she could feel the pride he had for his city hanging in the air. Only for a split second though, before he moved onto the next topic just as quickly as he had begun on the first one. Cupcakes? “That was a bit random," she pointed out, albeit a bit amused by his randomness before blurting out, “They’re my favorite thing to bake. After macarons," she found herself adding, her eyes slightly widening at her slip of the tongue, wondering why she was sharing such random personal information with him. “I’d have to say… red velvet cupcakes are my favorite. With cream cheese frosting."

“Congratulations on beating the gym leader,” he chirped, laughing slightly since she had received her badge a long time ago and here he was congratulating her in the midst of walking around. He remembered beating the gym leader himself. It took him at least three times until he finally got his hands on the Plain Badge. It was a rocky road, but he worked hard at achieving his main goal. In result, the badge had finally been his after all of the training he had done with his team. Lilycove City? She was right on point. He had never been there, although he had heard of the place from a few friends. “Yup, you’re correct. I’ve never stepped foot there. It must be a pretty city though since it has such a pretty name.” He would have to plan a trip there sometime soon. He kept a mental note of it in his mind so that he could write it down on his list of places he wanted to visit. He could get souvenirs for friends and family as well as do some exploring.

“I don’t know. It’s better to be random than bringing up something boring, right,” he pointed out, grinning happily at her response. She baked? He was about to get jumpy at that so he had to stop himself before he did anything stupid. Baking was never his thing. He sucked so badly at it. Last time he tried baking with his mum, he almost burned down the house. His mum almost smacked him for laughing at the whole scene. It was not a pretty sight. “That’s cool. I wish I could bake, but I suck balls at it.” He licked his lips, eyes beginning to twinkle. “Red velvet cupcakes are amazing, oh god.” He could have sworn he was beginning to drool just from picturing the cupcakes. “Wow, now I want cupcakes. Shouldn’t have brought this subject up.” He pouted.

She glanced up at the two squirrel-like Pokemon sitting up high in the tree, almost directly across from them, and the stony look on her face softened a bit. Pokemon of different species getting along was always a nice thing and though she was used to it from spending so much time at a Pokemon Day Care when she wasn’t at school, she had yet to see two Pokemon hit it off as quickly as Kira and the Emolga did. Which, of course, was good and bad. Good because Kira was always annoying her and if she could stick him onto someone else for the day or allow him to play with his Poke-friends for a day, that meant she could do something without shoving him back into his Pokeball. But, the bad side to that was that if her Pachirisu enjoyed the company of Hyunsik’s Emolga that much, it just meant that she would probably either spend a lot of time with Hyunsik or even talking to Hyunsik. And that wasn’t something she was willing to do more than once. Unless they were just simply texting, but that was a different story.

Although she knew the area sort of pretty decently well, there really was nothing else as exploring was the only option they really had as well. “Why not?" Gayoon answered, attempting to sound even half as cheery as he did, starring at his proffered hand before sighing and taking it, allowing him to haul her to her feet. Straightening up, she let go of his hand before picking up her backpack from the ground and dusting it off, slipping the straps onto her shoulders and leaving the container of berries there for the two Pokemon. She looked up at the Pokemon once again, cupping her hands around her mouth to call out to the Pachirisu and his companion. “Kira! We’re going to take a walk! Stay out of trouble and take care of Emolga," she reminded him, smiling a bit as the Pokemon turned and nodded at her quickly before returning to its conversation. “Let’s go explore then," she said, nodding her head in a random direction.

With his smile still in place, he, too, placed his back pack straps in place before turning to wave good bye at his Emolga. The small creature waved back with his flappy wing. He turned his heels towards the direction the girl had chosen and began strolling past her, hands shoved deep in the pockets of his jeans. He stopped at one point, waiting for the girl to catch up with him so that they could walk side by side. Hopefully they would both find something cool during their exploration of the forest. It didn’t really matter if they did or not, actually. As long as they had fun exploring and such. His eyes began to scan the area, searching for something, anything because he had absolutely no clue about what to converse about. “.. so, where are you from,” he asked curiously, raising an eyebrow. This was a start, he guessed. “I’m from Goldenrod City. Have you ever travelled there? It’s a real beaut.” His beloved city held a special place in his heart, and he pretty much felt proud of being from there.

His head moved left and right, trying to catch sight of something interesting again. Nothing in particular had stood out from the scene. The forest green leaves of the tall trees swayed with the refreshing, cool breeze. It felt great since it was sort of hot out that afternoon. “You like cupcakes, right? I mean, who doesn’t? Unless you’re allergic or something; hoping that you’re not of course. I really love chocolate cupcakes. They’re my favorite. Do you have a favorite cupcake flavor?” This was totally random, he knew, but he was in a cupcake mood all of a sudden. They could go for cupcakes after if she wanted to. Or he could just go alone if she didn’t.
