Kassandra Ramirez vanished at the age of 25 of September 19th, 2018. The young mother was living with a cousin in Bronx, New York at the time of her disappearance. Kassandra went missing during an eventful time in her life. She had recently graduated from culinary school, and she had just gotten a job that she was due to start the following month. Additionally, Kassandra’s mother, Ingrid, was visiting New York at the time of Kassandra’s disappearance. The two had spent the day together, along with Kassandra’s younger sister, on September 17th. They had plans to meet up again on September 20th for Ingrid’s birthday. Kassandra was also looking forward to celebrating her young son’s birthday later that week.

In addition to the celebratory events in Kassandra’s life, she had also been facing some tough circumstances shortly before her disappearance. A week before she went missing, Kassandra testified in front of a grand jury about an attack and rape she had endured. The suspect was subsequently charged with seven felony counts as a result of the attack. On the evening of her disappearance, she left her cousin’s Bronx residence around 11:40 PM after saying her ex-boyfriend was outside waiting for her. Kassandra told her cousin she’d be back in the morning by the latest, but she never returned home. She has never been seen or heard from again. It did not take long for Kassandra’s loved ones to begin worrying for her safety. On September 20th, Kassandra’s mother Ingrid went to an emergency room to receive treatment for a condition she suffers from. When Ingrid texted Kassandra to let her know, Kassandra did not reply. Later that day, Ingrid received a call from Kassandra’s cousin, saying that Kassandra had not returned home. The next morning, Ingrid contacted the 42nd Precinct to report her daughter missing.

Chaukhandi Tombs

Located: Karachi, Pakistan

These tombs, with elaborate sandstone carvings, are located in Karachi Pakistan.They were mainly built during Mughal rule sometime in the 15th and 18th centuries

They are burried South to North (which is very unusual for both the area and time period).  The tombs at Chaukhandi are renowned for being one of the most haunted sites in the region, and visitors are particularly warned against entering the graveyard at night.

Nicole Mallatt was amongst the millions of people in the United States who were preparing for the Thanksgiving holiday during November 2019. The 36-year-old was looking forward to having quality time with her children, as they planned to make their Thanksgiving meal together. Unfortunately, this never got to happen, as Nicole vanished on November 26th, 2019 - just two days before the holiday.

At the time of her disappearance, Nicole lived with her boyfriend, Brad Shreve, and their four children in Bates County, Missouri. Their residence on SW County Road 3508 is considered to be located in a rural area. Nicole was last seen just down the street from her residence on the evening she vanished. 

According to reports, Nicole's ex-husband Richie Mallatt picked her up near her home that evening. Richie later told investigators that the two spent approximately 45 minutes together before he dropped Nicole off in the same area where he picked her up. A short time later, a neighbor driving by saw a woman who he believed to be Nicole standing on the side of that same road. After that final sighting, Nicole was never seen alive again. 

Nicole was reported missing on November 29th, 2019. A few days later, searchers found Nicole's backpack, shoes, and cell phone alongside a creek located near the area where she was last seen. Investigators also searched Nicole's residence but did not disclose if any evidence was found. 

Nearly a year passed without any further sign of Nicole. Then, on November 3rd, 2020, a farmer plowing his field found a pair of sweatpants with a human femur bone inside them. He then discovered several more human remains alongside a nearby creek - the same creek where Nicole's items had been found almost a year earlier. 

Police were called, and the responding investigators immediately had a hunch that the remains belonged to Nicole. Three days later, it was confirmed that the remains were, in fact, that of Nicole Mallatt. However, an autopsy was unable to confirm an exact cause of death. This, in addition to many other suspicious aspects of Nicole's case, has left several unanswered questions.

I cannot fucking believe that there are people “no angel-ing” Nex Benedict because they poured water on these random girls who had been harassing them (and had been harassing them prior, despite not knowing them). If it had been their cishet kids who were being bullied, they wouldn’t have a problem if their kids poured water on someone. And now there’s psychos saying Nex deserved to get beaten for responding to being antagonized.

This always happens, a queer person isn’t a ‘perfect victim’, it’s okay for them to die. And even if they were perfect victim, it’s still somehow acceptable. This happens to every marginalized person who snaps one day due to abuse, and gets killed.

And the excuses only get more and more stupid. “Oh they were no angel, they poured water on somebody”. Yeah, after being bullied for a year straight every school day. It’s almost like every human has their limit of fucks to give and shit to take.

I hate all of you ‘no angel’ people even more than I hate people regurgitating misinformation about how Nex died, based off of what the corrupt school and the fucking bastard cops (who are allowed to lie) say. Even the cops suspect foul play. Listen to the 911 call, that’s a head injury. Dozens of people who’ve had experiences with someone getting a head injury and dying later on will tell you that.

Michaela MacVilla was tragically murdered at the age of 21 on September 25th, 2018. The young woman seemingly vanished after leaving her job at a Stewart’s Shop on West Main Street in St. Johnsville, New York shortly after midnight. Michaela unfortunately never returned home. Two days later, on September 27th, Michaela’s cell phone was found on Mill Road–and it appeared as if the phone had been thrown from a vehicle. Data from the cell phone lead authorities to a 45 year-old man named Daniel Nellis. Michaela’s final phone call was made to Daniel’s phone number shortly after she left her job at Stewart’s. 

Police initially spoke to Daniel on September 28th. During said interview, the officers noticed that Daniel had scratches on his forearms. Daniel told police that he picked Michaela up on the morning of her disappearance. He admitted to bringing Michaela to his home in Oppenheim that morning. Daniel explained that when he was driving her back home later that day, they got into an argument and Michaela asked to be let out of the car. He claims that he never saw her again after that. 

On October 2nd, 2018, Michaela’s body was found under some brush on an access road near Kringsbush Road in Oppenheim. She had been shot to death. Daniel Nellis was arrested and charged with her murder just a few weeks later. He pleaded not guilty and went to trial in June 2019.

During the trial, the prosecution presented evidence from both Michaela’s FitBit( which was found near her body) and from local surveillance footage. Cameras near Daniel’s home in Oppenheim captured Michaela and Daniel entering his house around 12:45am on the morning of September 25th. Approximately 12 hours later, they are captured leaving the house together. Data from the FitBit showed that Michaela’s heart-rate spiked at 12:24pm before stopping altogether six minutes later. Just minutes later, surveillance cameras captured Daniel’s car driving down the access road where Michaela’s body was later found. 

Despite all of this evidence, Daniel continued to maintain his innocence and even testified in his defense at trial. However, the jury did not buy his story and ultimately convicted him for the murder of Michaela MacVilla. 

He was sentenced to 40 years in prison.

UPDATE:

In 2023, Daniel Nellis’s conviction was overturned. It was reported that on June 8th, 2023, “a four-judge panel of the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court issued a unanimous ruling overturning [the murder] conviction, finding that it was the result of ’prosecutorial misconduct’ that went unchecked by the trial judge.”

Such instances of alleged prosecutorial misconduct included the State eliciting testimony from three separate witnesses that had not been included in the pretrial motions. The testimony was regarding a prior shooting in which Nellis had allegedly been involved. The judge panel also found that certain questions asked by the prosecution during Nellis’ trial were “‘plainly improper,’ as they didn’t relate to Nellis’ credibility but instead to his criminal propensity in such a way that it was prejudicial against his defense.“ 

Additionally, the judge panel noted that the trial judge did not intervene upon these instances of misconduct. The panel admonished said judge, stating that ”County Court certainly must have been aware that some of the evidence introduced by the prosecutor, both on the People’s direct case and upon cross-examination of defendant, fell outside the scope of the court’s pretrial evidentiary rulings.“ Due to these circumstances, the judge panel ruled on overturning Nellis’ murder conviction. A new trial has been ordered. At this time, it is unclear when the new trial will take place. 

Michaela’s loved ones are inevitably devastated by this news. In a June 2023 interview with CBS 6, Michaela’s grandmother told reporters that she is "livid, angry, to the point of beyond reason that this man gets a second chance at life and my granddaughter is dead.”

Irma Mkrtchyan (45) has been missing since January 19th, 2014. She was last seen near south Durango Drive and the West Desert Inn in Las Vegas. Prior to her disappearance, Irma was living in Vegas and working as a broker for Farmers Insurance. On the day she vanished, Irma met with a client at the Allanza apartment complex. Irma texted her boss after the meeting to say she had to miss work the next few days to attend her ex-husband’s aunt’s funeral in California. The ex-husband’s family later confirmed that was false—there was no family funeral in California.

Around the same time, Irma also texted her loved ones to say that she was going to California for a business trip (no mention of a funeral) and would return in a few days. She also said that she left her car at the Allanza apartment complex with the keys left in the gas tank cap and that she would return in a few days. Irma also mentioned that her phone was going to die since she left her phone charger at home. Her loved ones found this quite bizarre—it was very uncharacteristic for Irma to leave both her phone charger and her car behind. Ever since those messages, Irma has not been seen or heard from again.

According to her family, Irma was not romantically involved with anyone at the time of her disappearance—but she was still living with her ex-husband Ara Marutyan. The former couple had two children together: a daughter who was attending school in a separate state, and a son who was living with them and attending a local university. Irma and Ara divorced in 2007 after sixteen years of marriage, but Ara claims the split was amicable. However, Irma’s friends said that Irma had been brutally beaten by her ex-husband. Irma also told numerous people, including her own daughter, that she was afraid that Ara might try to kill her. 

When police questioned Ara and their son, Arthur, they claimed that Irma been talking to another man online, and they believed she had run off to the Baja California region of Mexico to be with him. Irma’s loved ones do not believe this is true. According to her brother, Irma would not leave her family behind—especially her mother, who had recently suffered a heart attack.

Officials investigating Irma’s case have suspicions about Ara as well. Police said they believe that Ara lied to them. He also failed a lie detector test issued after Irma’s disappearance. A private investigator believes that Armenian organized crime may have played a role in Irma’s disappearance, with identity theft being the main motive.

Despite all of this, there have still not been any arrests in Irma’s case and she remains missing today. Both authorities and Irma’s family believe that foul play is involved in her disappearance. 15-year-old Baleigh Bashaw was brutally murdered inside her own home May 7th, 2018. That day began as a typical day for the teenager; she went to school that morning and then returned to her Salt Lake City, Utah home around 3:00 PM. Upon Baleigh’s return home, she called her mother at work to check-in. At some point during that phone conversation, Baleigh was attacked as her mother listened. Baleigh’s frantic mother then called a neighbor, who went to the home and found Baleigh dead. Her killer had already fled the scene.

Baleigh’s mother immediately had a gut feeling about the killer’s identity: 24-year-old Shaun French. French had lived in the home with Baleigh and her mother for six months during the previous year, until Baleigh’s mother kicked him out in July 2017. Baleigh and French still kept in touch after this, but Baleigh’s mother was unaware of the extent of their relationship until May 2nd, 2018—just 5 days before Baleigh was murdered. That day, Baleigh confessed to her mother that she had been in a sexual relationship with French that began when she was 14 years old. Baleigh had recently ended the relationship, and French was not taking it well. It was clear at this point that French is a dangerous person. It was established that he had raped Baleigh, who was too young to consent to a sexual relationship. The events that followed proved exactly how dangerous French is - and it unfortunately cost Baleigh her life.

On the evening of the 22nd of December, 1981, Bobby and Judy Hinson of Valdese, North Carolina, kissed their 19-year-old daughter, Rhonda Annette Hinson, goodbye as she left their home to attend an office party at the American Legion Hall. “She looked the most beautiful I had ever seen her on that night,” recalled her mother, Judy. Unbeknownst to them, this was the last time they would ever see their daughter alive.

Several hours later, Rhonda’s lifeless body would be discovered less than a mile from her family home. Her body was found in a ditch beside her beige Datsun 210. A high-powered bullet had passed through the rear of her car and struck in her the back, killing her. Rhonda’s last steps were retraced in an attempt to turn up some clues as to who could have committed such an act on Rhonda, who was said to have absolutely no enemies.

After leaving her family home, she drove to a female friend’s house. Leaving her car there, the two friends then drove together in another car to the party at the American Legion Hall. “She was torn about whether to go to the party, but never told us why,” Judy recalled. “Her boyfriend, who was in college at home at the time, didn’t want her to go.” Rhonda had intended on staying overnight at her friend’s home that night but changed her mind for reasons that still remain unknown today. At around midnight, she left her friend’s home and headed towards her own house.

Rhonda was extremely close to her own home when she was shot through her car. The bullet pierced her heart and lung. Her body was found in a ditch beside her car. The pathologist determined that due to her injury, it would have been impossible for her to open the door and exit the car herself. So how did she end up in the ditch and who fired the shot that killed her? The focus has always been on two theories: Was she targeted by somebody she knew or was she the victim of a random - or accidental - shooting? Judy thinks she was targeted while her father believes she was shot accidentally by people messing around with a gun.

As of today, Rhonda’s murder still remains unsolved.

Harpya (1979)

Harpya is a 1979 horror/black comedy short Belgian animated film written and directed by Raoul Servais. The film won the Palme d'Or for Best Short Film at the 1979 Cannes Film Festival.

Its a story about a man who rescues a harpy. He takes the harpy home to give it shelter, but soon realizes that the harpy has an insatiable appetite. The Harpy eats all his food and ultimately his legs.

On July 27, 1977, John Errol Ferguson, posing as a Florida Power and Light employee, gained entry to the residence of Livingston Stocker, a known drug dealer, with the assistance of Margaret Wooden. Ferguson claimed to Margaret he needed to inspect the electrical outlets.

Once inside, he brandished a firearm, subdued and bound the frightened Margaret. Afterward, he opened the door to admit his accomplices, Marvin Francois and Beauford White. However, their intrusion was abruptly interrupted when the front door suddenly swung open.

Livingston Stocker and six of his acquaintances entered the home, only to confront the three masked men. These armed and concealed intruders directed the other seven individuals into a bedroom, where they were likewise bound and blindfolded alongside Margaret.

While the intruders combed the house in search of drugs and valuables, one of their masks slipped, revealing his face. Realizing the potential witnesses, the three men decided to eliminate all their captives systematically. Each person was tragically shot.

Astonishingly, one man and Margaret survived, providing testimony of the horrifying events. It wasn't until the following year that Ferguson, Francois, and White were apprehended. By that time, however, Ferguson had already claimed two more victims.

On January 8, 1978, Brian Glenfeld and Belinda Worley, both 17 years old, were attacked while parked in their car on a lovers' lane. Glenfield was fatally shot while seated in the car, while Worley was dragged to nearby bushes, sexually assaulted, and then shot in the head.

Following their capture, Ferguson readily admitted to the murders of both Brian and Belinda. Ferguson, Francois, and White were all convicted and sentenced to death. Francois was executed in 1985, and White met the same fate in 1987. However, Ferguson's case was more complex. Although he was found guilty, his mental state became a contentious and divisive issue in the years that followed.

The execution of the mentally ill is considered a violation of the Eighth Amendment's prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment, but the question of whether he should be executed or not divided the nation, with some horrified by the prospect of his execution and others believing he deserved it.

During his trial, Ferguson's defense argued that he was mentally ill and therefore ineligible for the death penalty, asserting that his mental illness had manifested long before the murders. At the age of 13, Ferguson experienced bizarre hallucinations following his father's death and endured frequent abuse from his mother's boyfriend.

Eventually, his mother abandoned him in the care of his sisters, who lived in a rat-infested shack. At 21, Ferguson was shot in the head by a police officer while attempting to steal the officer's gun. He subsequently cycled in and out of psychiatric hospitals after being diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. In fact, one doctor recommended that Ferguson should never be released from psychiatric care due to the danger he posed to himself and society.

Ferguson referred to himself as the "Prince of God" and believed that he would rise alongside Jesus after his death to save America from a communist plot.

Despite these mental health issues, he was executed on August 5, 2013.

Heather Danielle Cannon was only 15 years old when she vanished on August 27th, 2009. At the time of her disappearance, Heather was living in Athens, Texas with her father Jerral Allen Whitley. She was reportedly last seen locally in the company of her father, but authorities initially believed that she left on her own accord. However, when Heather’s father was questioned, he refused to take a polygraph. He was later arrested on unrelated drug offenses and was incarcerated for 18 months. He was eventually released in 2014.

It is unclear if Heather’s father has ever been considered a person of interest by investigators. What is clear now is that investigators no longer believe that Heather left on her own accord. In fact, during 2017 the Henderson County sheriff’s department conducted a search on a private property in the LaRue area. They reportedly searched through a heavily wooded area on an 8-acre plot of land. Investigators have not revealed what, if anything, came out of that search. They also have not revealed how they were able to obtain a search warrant.
