This nearly killed me to do and I’m still not satisfied with the point allocations, but after the second semi-final this morning I was buzzing too hard to go back to bed so voilà! Since you can’t vote for your own country, I sadly had to leave out Australian empress Dami Im but please vote for her, Europe ♥
12 points: Belgium - What’s the Pressure by Laura Tesoro
Pure cheesy, funky joy and sunshine! It may not be the most technically incredible, but it’s just fun and that’s what Eurovision should be.
10 points: Latvia - Heartbeat by Justs
Dude singlehandedly slays the stage with a hard-hitting track (written by last year’s amazing Aminata) and passionate movement.
8 points: Lithuania - Waiting For This Night by Donny Montell
Donny returns to the competition after three years of apparently marinating in cute juice and practising flips. Killer song, too!
7 points: France - J’ai cherché by Amir
Cinnamon roll grins through three minutes of infectious pop, ditching his nation’s tradition of singing solely in French by adding an English chorus so we can all join in.
6 points: Netherlands - Slow Down by Douwe Bob
A cute as hell boy sings a cute as hell country/folk song. There’s a 10-second pause for him to flirt with the audience. What’s not to like?
5 points: Russia - You Are The Only One by Sergey Lazarev
An absolute banger sung powerfully, including obligatory key change and coupled with an incredible use of interactive graphics.
4 points: Bulgaria - If Love Was a Crime by Poli Genova
Super catchy bilingual tune that will get you up and chanting О дай ми любовта! like you didn’t have to Google Translate that.
3 points: Austria - Loin d’ici by Zoë
Real life Disney princess twirls her way through an adorable little inexplicably French number and doesn’t stop smiling for a second.
2 points: Sweden - If I Were Sorry by Frans
A nonchalant teenager sings a laidback track with minimal effort, but totally gets away with it because Swedes are magic.
1 point: Spain - Say Yay by Barei
A strong beat and a strong voice. Definitely the most enjoyable Spanish entry in recent memory. Cool hair.
