The Types Of Hamilton Blogs
Their blog is probably a pastel color with a sweet description of themselves that says “hamiltrash” in it at least once. Icon is from yamhaylet. Their header is a gif of the revolutionary set. No clear blog organization- they’re really just here to enjoy Hamilton. They tend to stay away from discourse. Reblogs many shitposts and memes.
…Exactly what it sounds like. They probably have vivid flashbacks to hours hunched over a drawing pad when they see one of their icons being used. Just wants one of the cast to like one of their Instagram posts. Perpetually jealous of that macaroon person. Slightly more talented version of The Pure and Simple.
They liked theatre before Hamilton. If you follow them, you’ll get Hamilton. And Heathers. And Oliver. And Waitress. And Shuffle Along. And a whole, whole lot of salt about the Tonys. Slightly softer variation of The Salt Mine. Bonds with other Theatre Kids over their hate for the Hamilton fandom while being a part of said fandom. Reblogs Tuck Everlasting memes.
There are two categories of history blogs:
Makes informative posts so no one is confused. Sets facts straight, and accepts curious anons with open arms. Probably likes I Made America. Loves the term “Founding Mothers”. Their icon is definitely a picture of a historical figure. They like to compare Charles Sumner, Samuel Gridley Howe, and Julia Howe to John Laurens, Alexander, and Eliza. Smiles a lot. History major/Wants to be a history major/Future historian. Protects the Activist.
They legitimately like Hamilton because they like history. However, they Hate what it’s done to what was once the history fandom. They make posts along the lines of “I need to find more history blogs- But I don’t want to see the Hamilton musical.” They’re doing their own thing. Blog has a muted brown or maroon color scheme. Really, really ships Sumhowe.
Is trash and knows it. Has a crush on everyone in the Hamilton cast. Probably has a crush on a few historical figures as well. Is ashamed of their crush on LMM because of how problematic they find him. Probably writes fanfiction with really, really good characterization because they know all of the characters that well. Love child of The Salt Mine and The Activist.
Doesn’t hate Hamilton, but recognizes the problems with it. Yelling about characterization. Has a secret desire to be the Pure and Simple and is really good friends with the Informative Mother. Will not (NOT) forgive Lin for saying the n-word but still appreciates and respects his accomplishments. Best friends with The Salt Mine and The __ Fucker. Discourses frequently.
Desperately protecting the aesthetic of their blog- pale, mythology, big words, academia, the sort. Doesn’t reblog Hamilton posts unless they’re very specifically geared towards the aesthetic of their blog (i.e., pale edits, moodboards, typography). Not friends with any of the other kinds because they only occasionally dabble in the fandom. Will like but not reblog this post.
