Reuben Sutherland’s Kaleidoscopic Doodles
Reuben Sutherland is from New Zealand and is job is ‘mostly making arty graphic stuff’. He makes his gifs as part of the Audiovisual duo Sculpture for live performances. He views his gifs as ‘doodles’ just to show zoetropes and how they animate. Despite his downplaying of these gifs as ‘doodles’ they are inventive, beautiful and mesmerizing. I may even call these Art.

Códice Mendoza.
“I read an essay by the writer Rafael Toriz where he mentions an encounter (in Spanish) with “the beautiful and subtle” Charlotte Casiraghi. It’s a piece entitled “Under the Palatine Sky.” He asks her to dance. She looks at him with “pharaonic cat eyes” which he later describes as being green. That was interesting as I always thought her eyes were grey. He describes the look in her eyes as disdainful and she said to him “F U fat bastard!” Shazam! Rejection! The classic drink in the face moment!“ - Submitted by Anonymous
