HEALING REMEDY.

The gentleness he wasn’t entirely expecting from the other, but he had to admit that the flames did make his headache feel better. In fact the headache was slowly going away after the flames danced a bit on his forehead. At the question about him having those headaches again he gives a small sigh with a nod. “ I am. I think it’s soon going to be time I take some time off. “ He states and is his way of saying that he’ll be going on a trip for a couple days until it fixes itself.

Ryohei nodded, seeping away the rest of the headache before pulling his hand away. “Ya know, you don’t have to go away... I have a lot of stuff to make you feel better.” And no, he had no idea how suggestive that sounded. “I’ve been stud... sub... I’ve been looking into medical stuff and practicing a lot lately.”

" Do you by chance come with a quiet mode ? " Mukuro questions then looks thoughtful. " Hm, if not. Perhaps you could put those sun flames to use in easing this headache of mine, hm ? ".

“Oi! I don’t need a quiet mode!” That being said, he does allow his flickering yellow flames to dance across his fingers before brushing them rather gently along Mukuro’s forehead. “Are you having the headaches again, pineapple head?”

He’s not lying, but he also doesn’t really know what an alien looks like. He just knows the thing he found on the side of the road looked really freaky, and the bomber was the ultimate go-to for freaky. It was definitely alive at some point… but had long since shuffled off it’s mortal coil - along with most of its flesh. Ryohei held it out proudly, grinning a little.

Hayato stares at the ‘creature’ presented to him and instantly sours. “Oi… Meathead… This isn’t an alien, it’s fucking roadkill.” He points at it. “You don’t see the striped tail? Patches of grey fur? The claws are still in tact, and the little ears. This is a dead raccoon. Go put it down somewhere.”

“Oi, don’t call me Meathead, Octopus Head! There’s no way that’s a raccoon! It’s obv-obfu- It’s clearly some sort of creature!” He holds the dead thing out again, trying to show Hayato again. “See? Look at the fangs! It must be a brain eater!”

“Obviously. And it’s a dead raccoon, they have fangs– stop shoving it in my face.” He pushes Ryohei’s hand away. “It fucking stinks.” Is he grossed out? Not really, but dead things smell. And the longer they’re unburied the worse it gets.

“Either way it’s dead, so find a hole to bury it in.”

Ryohei looks it over again, frowning. There was a bit of fur there... huh. With a shrug, he turned and hurled it as hard as he could into the next street. “Extremely bad luck, I guess. I thought I found something while I was training.” He shrugged again before looking back at the bomber. “What’re you doing?”

"Hey, squidhead! I think I found a thing... an extreme alien or something! Wanna see?!" Yes, he's carrying... something. No, he's not sure what it is.

“Shut up, turf top–” Hayato’s irritation is lessened by the mention of an alien. “An extreme alien? Of course I want to see it, show it to me!” If Ryohei is lying he’s going to find himself in a world of hurt.

Headcanon Time: Memory~

Ryohei’s memory isn’t bad because he’s flaky or impatient. His memory is bad because his brain is quite literally swiss cheese. He was beaten as a small child when he tried to defend his sister. He then subjected himself to hundreds, if not thousands of beatings as he grew up, training as a boxer. As good as he is when we first meet him, you know he got his ass kicked more than once.

As he ages and Colonello teaches him how to focus his Flames, his memory starts to improve… the Sun flames help to keep any further damage in check, though they can’t repair what’s already been done. Patience comes with maturity, and he’s settled into his role as the ‘idiot boxer’ or the 'idiot Guardian’, so honestly, he doesn’t notice it much anymore.

The problem is that he’s not an idiot. He IS impulsive, and that never really tempers much, but under the loudness, he knows that there are pieces of himself that are just missing. Words never come out quite right, he gets easily lost no matter how many times he goes somewhere, and every instruction needs to be written down so he can remember them. Knowing those gaps in his memory are there, knowing there are things he should be doing, or saying, words that work better than the overexcited jibberish that comes from his mouth, frustrates the hell out of him. Which, in turn, makes his recall even worse.

The things he does remember easily are muscle memory actions, and faces. He can throw a solid punch even if he’s half-dead, because his muscles react even if his brain isn’t working properly. He can’t remember a name to save his life, but he remembers every face he’s ever seen, and he remembers WHY he remembers them; friend, foe, rival, danger, help. He’s also really good with dates… not so much what happened on the date, but that the date is important for some reason.

The only exception to this is his darling sister, Kyoko. He remembers EVERY SINGLE THING about her… her birthday, her favorite color, food, movie, music. He remembers the name of every boyfriend or possible boyfriend that’s ever caught her eye, and he’s remembered every single time that he’s had to NOT kick the shit out of one of them because even though they made her cry, he promised her he wouldn’t.
