A native of South London, I currently live and work in Oxford. Tbh???? I don’t have the fuckn time to pick and choose who can come to pride or use the acronym lgbt+. I got like, actual problems. Like bigots who wanna kill me and stuff. And money. Anyway happy pride, if you say you’re LGBT+, you don’t wanna hurt anyone, and you ID as lgbt+ in some way, I believe you because who has the fuckn time to examine everyone’s identity? I’m busy. I have a cat to feed.

This is inaccurate. There are no such words as “art” and “ti” in Latin. “Mori” means death (in most latin-based languages too such as French). It’s still cool tho.

The root of the first two syllables of Moriarty is Irish and has nothing to do with death. The surname is the anglicised version of the Kerry clan name, Muircheartaigh (O’Muircheartaigh for son of, Ni Mhuircheartaigh for daughter of). Muir is the Irish for sea and the name refers to someone considered to be a good sailor or navigator; the closest approximation to an English equivalent might be Seawright.
