V
ON EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND WISDOM
“Always strive to experience truth.”
Knowledge and wisdom are of experience and not the accumulation of information. Gathered information can be useful only if tried, and tested. One must turn inward to know one’s self. True knowledge comes through one’s own experience, thus wisdom being a matter of applying what is understood effectively.
To shut out all that is outside of one’s self is to tread the darkness, and in this darkness one will find something so brilliant that it is unseen. To turn inward is to shut out what is outside of us, the light of illusion. In the darkness one will find the brightest of light. The unseen flames of gnosis, the fire of divinity.
Who is to say that a dream is not real? Dreams are no more false than that which is experienced in a waking state of consciousness. Nor is that which is experienced in altered states, ceremony, ritual, and meditation. © DEATH CROWN 2017
