James shyly shuffles towards his Lalafell comrade at the Crystal Braves.
His face was beef red, as if he secretly did not want to ask this specific question to the other. With hesitation, his hazel eyes went downward towards the man. But how else would he know where the man he was looking for is?
"Mine apologies, but have you seen Captain Ilberd?"
It came out as almost a whisper but clear enough to hear. It certainly wasn't his usual tone of voice either. Nervous, and slightly high pitched.
James starts to shake a bit, even feels his sweat break out. There, the question was out. Now it was only waiting for the Lalafell to answer. Hopefully he didn't notice the distress he has...
One day as busy as any other for the Crystal Braves: the various squadrons were assigned their duties, be they patrolling or investigating the many unusual deeds that threatened land. The 3rd squadron often used to collaborate with the 1st on duties and, in the absence of their captain, Yuyuhase was given the task to look after the squadron assigned to the Highlander, on the trust of the latter.
With his checks done, the lalafell man would have taken a moment to rest. It was not unusual to see him behind affairs or being in places totally different from what he got ordered, but not too unusual to arouse suspicion. Â
A voice could be heard from behind his back, a voice well known to the foreman of the 3rd.. being bothered was the last thing he desired at the time, but after all, given his role, it was his duty to pay attention to any request he would have received from the soldiers.
« Mmh...? »
He then turned to the young man, scrutinizing him from the bottom up.
« You must be James Fortis of the 4th squadron. 'Tis unusual to see you wandering away from the captain. »
He arched an eyebrow, his question seemed to be harmless and in no way could have get in the way of Ilberd. However, Yuyuhase decided to stay alert through his answers, in order to avoid any kind of possible annoyance.
« He left in the morning with commander Leveilleur and few of his men, most likely they headed to Ul'dah. »
The answer was vague and if the blond only tried to ask for more details, his questions would not have get any satisfactory response.
« Rather, shouldn't you be with the rest of your squadron? »
He then asked out of curiosity. His words had a slightly threatening undertone to them, but his nice face probably hid it whole... or at least, it seemed like that. The lalafellin man’s questions probably added more distress to James, who seemed enough embarassed to ask him such thing.
