This is Joel. He loves to sit on this bench and observe the people walk past. He used to be a fisherman. “No fish, no money”, he said. He now lives with his daughter, who takes care of him. “She has to work extra for me.”

This is Arthur. He fishes “for fun”, he said, since the fish “are dirty and full of mercury”. Sometimes, when he is really hungry he will still eat one and hope he won’t get sick. “Getting sick is too expensive. I have to pray to God that I will not get sick”.
