This isn’t quite a modern au, because the main idea is that she still has her powers

Because she never learns to suppress her telepathic abilities around humans, after she graduates high school her main goal is living as far away from humans as possible. In my mind she becomes a wild life photographer. IN ADDITION TO THAT I NEED HER TO BE REALLY INTO CRYPTIDS AND GOES SEARCHING FOR AN ALICORN OK!!
