only there, on a bed of moss and grass would she allow her heart to rest.
I posted a thread about Kang Dan Shim on twitter, but i was bold to assume this social media would let be talk about something else than Kastle there. Anyway, I'm in love with My Royal Nemesis, i love the story and how it tackles all the usual kdrama clichés, and i also love the characters and how layered and true to themselves they stay despite everything that is happening to them. I'm also super glad to see my Lim Ji Yeon again ♥
But i need to scream my obsession and my frustration about the real Kang Dan Shim somewhere !! ! Beware, there are spoilers about episode 12 (in case you really didn't see it coming) We were many to clock the soul exchange at the beginning of My Royal Nemesis, but i think we never expanded on that theory and went for the merging souls instead, for the lot of inaccuracies!
Something was off and i still believe something is off now. So, the theory was that real Seori and real Danshim exchanged their bodies when Seori had her "accident" and then came back when she was poisoned by the King. But what about real Danshim? Did she almost die too when she was young to allow both of them to travel ?
What about the second time? Does BOTH must die (or almost) to allow their souls to exchange or only Seori?
Did that bowl on the filming set was secretly poisoned when Danshim left and Seori came back? (Can come from EunA?)
Why no one seems to give a shit about Danshim at all?
Except maybe the shaman in Joseon era ?
I am over obsessing on Danshim right now because, even tho Seori is living the romcom of the century, Danshim on the other hand, is living the most depressing melodrama:
• First she's born in poverty during joseon era.
• Then her soul swaps with seori's, she ends up in a modern world raised by her granma, but still in poverty.
• She spends more than a decade trying to pursue a career as an actress (without the memory of it) but ends up being seen as a complete failure.
• Not only she lives in an awful place but she is also disrespected by her peers on the filming set and by her neighbors in the building.
• Then Seori gets poisoned by the king, the second swap occurs, and Danshim is back in her original body, in joseon era, in a coma. • Then another swap in modern time (when Seori gets hit by the white truck of doom), still in the coma. • New swap forced by the Joseon shaman, back to Joseon time, where she might wake up paralyzed for a while not understanding what the fuck is happening or where she is. Now imagine,
if she ever stay alive in joseon, she will have to live knowing she (her body and name) was one of the king's consort he sacrificed and killed, while she is also hated by the people! (it is very possible that she'll be alive because of the modern shaman vision in episode 12) She won't even have her granma anymore, she'll be completely alone??? She also never found love in the modern world, never met Cha Se Gye and might never meet Lee Hyun (if he's really dead) I can't believe in this very well written drama, real Damshin is being sidelined? I have so much questions, the drama ends next week, we only have 2 episodes to wrap everything: • How does Damshin ends up in a luxurious house being taken care of by the shaman and the doctor? • Isn't she supposed to be dead and therefor out of the royal palace? • Are the shaman and Doctor part of Lee Hyun's loyalists? • Is Lee hyun really dead or pretend to be, to help real Danshim? (I think Seori and us learning his death through a voice over is kinda fishy and lame at the same time) • Maybe Lee Hyun knew Seori wasn't meant for him but for Cha se gye? I can't believe i got hooked on characters we barely see in the story, but they are so important for Seori and Cha Se Gye romance ! The merged soul theory was easier, because it meant that Danshim and Seori were the same soul, exactly like Lee hyun and Cha se gye, and their love transcended time and space ! I hope i'll get answers i'm dying here !!!!!!!

true friends support your probably-slightly-unhealthy obsession with your favorite fictional character
it delights me the way cha se gye is always a little pissed off at himself for getting soft over seo ri. like he sees himself doing these ridiculous corny romantic things and falling for this ridiculous possibly insane woman but he can’t help himself, and he’s so irritated about it. it’s a tiny thing but makes so much sense for a guy who has viewed every relationship he’s ever had as transactional and values his asshole-ish reputation. even as he’s starting to let himself enjoy it and enjoy her, his moments of “wtf am i doing” honestly make the transition from stone cold ceo to the most lovesick idiot you’ve seen in your life way more believable than in a lot of other chaebol romances.
and it somehow extra works because seo ri doesn’t instantly become the adoring girlfriend. she’s wary af still so when he does some romantic shit she’s not automatically swooning. she’s similarly going “what am i doing falling for this guy” but can’t help herself, either. so then there they both are, pissed off at themselves and each other for feeling the way they do, and it brings them closer together every time.
it’s just all so delicious!
Now that I'm watching My Royal Nemesis for color-coded reasons, I can easily see that this arrogant Black Brooder is in love . . . despite what his face might be saying.
Yes, *this* man is a man in love.
And he is in love with this crazy passionate Red Rascal who smears ox blood on herself to prepare for battle and ward off evil spirits.
So when red shows up around him, if it was anyone else, I would think it's because he is extremely upset and experiencing rage, but because he can't stop thinking of that crazy Red Rascal who turned him down, I know it's because he is in love.
The red just seems to follow him almost like he can't escape it.
But then again, he doesn't really want to.
Because even though Cha Se Gye can't remember his previous life, he was blinded my Shin Seo-Ri's dazzling light even in the past.
So for a man who only knows darkness and comes across as a storm cloud most of the time, it must be refreshing to meet a woman who would rather live on the rooftop in the open air.
Cha Se Gye exists in dark spaces handing out punishments to those who have wronged him.
He hides behind a mask to scare others away.
Which is exactly what he had to do in his previous life.
But now he has met a woman who pushes him to step into the light, so she can clearly see his true nature.
Which is why I had a tiny theory that these two are softening each other's hard exteriors and returning to their true colors.
I think Shin Seo-Ri is actually a kind and caring Pink Person.
Yes, *this* woman is a kind and caring woman.
Which is probably why she got the dog she loved from her previous life back in her present life in the form of her menace of a neighbor.
Yes *this* man was a dog. Literally.
And Shin Seo-Ri took care of him before an evil man came along and ruined everyone's day and lunch by being evil because Shin Seo-Ri, in spite of everything that has happened to her, wants to help others like the old man who needed help looking for his grandson.
And this is why I think Shin Seo-Ri's color is lightening up since she is constantly helping Cha Se Gye without realizing it. It's also why I think her cell phone went from red (below) to pink (above).
And maybe that's why Shin Seo-Ri's coffee truck was pink because, although it wasn't her who paid for it, she was still providing something to the hardworking cast and crew.
The pink even occurred when Shin Seo-Ri mixed the wines together in an effort to unite the East x West.
So it should have been odd that she kept ending up in blue in episode six.
Until I remembered that Cha Se Gye was once a loyal and intelligent Blue Boy.
So even if in the current life he hasn't completely shed his black, he has traded in his black car for a blue 2026 Maserati MCPURA.
And just like Cha Se Gye who couldn't seem to escape the red, Shin Seo-Ri can't seem to shake the blue.
Or the past.
In their current life, Cha Se Gye gave Shin Seo-Ri two dozen red roses, but in the past, he simply gave her one red peony because it stood out, just like she does.
And just like the past, Cha Se Gye can't help but stop and admire the beauty.
Because he is a man in love.
With the woman who brings light to his life.
Each and every single one of them.
spending the rest of the night rewatching the kastle scene on a loop like this
KASTLE 2017, 2019, 2026
a story about grief
song: world spins madly on by the weepies
Just finished season 2 of The Law According To Lidia Poët, and i have to say it, i'm glad Jacopo left. I never find them to have a good chemistry to begin with, and i always though Andrea was best for her, until season 2 - TT-TT good for him tho. To be honnest, I don't think Lidia fits the "one true love" trope, this is something that does fit more Marianna & Lorenzo. I really want Lidia to experience life as a free woman and that the show will be faithful to real Lidia Poët when it comes to mariage.
But at the same time, dear God Fourneau is increeeeeedible, this man got on my knees the whole time, he so perfect i was persuaded he was hiding something fishy - I hope he'll survive season 3, i need more of him! I need more of them !!!!!!!! Their chemistry is incredibleeeee !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RAAAAAAAh
I am so scared they will kill him off. I like him so much for her.
I spoiled myself
The fact that Sherlock is always amazing at fighting/escaping in every other adaptation but in this one he's not only absolutely shite but Moriarty is the one teaching him how to fight. INSANEEE
I have been silent for a while now on tumblr, but i'm pretty active on twitter, because this is where the most of Kastlers happens, ngl. That being said, i think twitter is also the worst place to speak about the fuck is hapenning in Daredevil Born Again right now and the state of the ships, because there is SO MUCH to say ! (Beware very long post ahead)
Kastlers have been in the dark for more than 6 months, the end of season 1 promised us a love triangle between Matt, Karen and Frank, but in the middle of the year, we learned in a shaddy way, that the Punisher wouldn't be in the season 2 at all, despite the fact that everyone was pretty sure he would be in it - So much that, each time a big media would talk about Born Again s2 they would include a picture of him. Not a single journalist asked WHY Frank wasn't included in this damn season, when part of the story revolves around him and what he represents. The cops are litteraly wearing his logo ? It really looked like, NO ONE was allowed to ask any question about it at all, which is super weird? And when more people started to freak out about Punisher absence, Vincent D'onofrio (Fisk) stepped up to say something about Jon being busy filming Spiderman when they shot season 2 (Except Spiderman started filming months later, but ok.) So basically, once the news and the trailer dropped, we knew Kastle was kinda doomed. I had months to prepare mentally for that season 2, not only because of KD but also because of Frank's absence.
And now that the first episode is out, let me tell you that i am kinda happy Kastle lost, because i think KD lost even more.
I NEED KASTLE IMMEDIATELY !!!😭
Jack in season 2:
fanny fox girlbossing her way through murder, forgery, theft, and extensive con artistry is truly the funniest and best thing she could have done. kills her new boyfriend completely by accident and immediately turns to a life of crime. not even that bummed about the dead boyfriend tbh. like pretty rapidly Over It vis a vis the manslaughter. but extremely down to do crime forever.
Omy and the duo Fanny Fagin? Marvelous, not on my bingo card, but extremely welcomed ! ! !
I shared this on a gpose tips & tricks post on bsky that I'll share here too incase someone finds it helpful :) When using DoF, I like to give some distance between the character and the surrounding areas, so that the area of focus around my character is sharp while the areas in the foreground and background is blurry. DoF ref from photographylife.
Vanilla gpose has the DOF option, but I prefer using CinematicDOF shader as it has better manual control and the blur is smoother. I recommend it on Manual-focus plane and turning off auto mode for better control of focus and strength of the blur (Far plane max blur and Near plane max blur).
I love using DoF! Especially for cinematic Gposes since I want the character(s) to be the main focus. Additionally, I like using it to soften details a bit, especially when it comes to foliage edges!
