*flying around Mysterium - I was told to do some laps and climbs around the buildings (to test my agility/power output) by Lady Vespera. A city like this makes it easier to remain low profile, apparently.*
*As I dart through the streets, I can feel excitement rise in my chest - This is the best part of my week. Flying is not an ability elves have; normally, it's trained telekinetically, but very few have strong enough cores to sustain themselves in the air, let alone move around. But I'm special. This is as natural to me as is breathing.*
*People are looking. I can feel their eyes burning into my skin, but that fire makes me want to go faster. I like the attention a little bit. I like the rush of adrenaline from drops and quick barrel rolls. I like feeling this power, this gift flowing through me, like I'm-*
*I take a deep breath. I focus as hard as I can to shape the force fields into a sort of ball to enclose the flying elf. He's high up so this is going to require some more concentration. I know he's paused momentarily, but I need to work as fast as I can.*
*I've already shaken off the (weak) telekinetic bind that someone (I assume the brightly colored elves below me) had placed, but now...*
*Oh. I recognize this. Ruy can do this. ...Okay. I know how to break out of this.*
*I grimace and start slamming against the wall, testing how firm it is - weaker bubbles like these can break on impact, but some are stronger. My shoulders start to sting from coming into contact with the energy, but I don't mind.*
Listen, we don't want to hurt you! We just want to talk, but we can't do that if you're all the way up there, and zipping around constantly! Please come down!
*...So they speak. Hm. "Don't want to hurt me"? They want to talk...? To me?*
*With a little more effort, I manage to rip free of the bubble with a small shockwave, rolling my shoulders and brushing off. I can see them recoil down there - that's not something they've seen before. I'm not something they've seen before. I speak quietly into my earpiece.*
*I hear Renn's voice quietly speak back to me through the earpiece. - This isn't a mission in which he would require speech, unless he's been spotted. Interesting...*
I see...13 elves, in...very colorful clothing. One of them is a Psionpath, and I think the man next to him is a Vociferator. ...I can't tell for the others.
*...Ah. So he's encountered the Councillors - and...hm. I don't know who the Psionpath is, but if I were Emery...Kress. Ugh, I'm about sick of that damned elf. Ah well - maybe Renn can shut that man up for good.*
Okay, Renn. You need to listen to me carefully. Those elves below you think you to be gullible - weak, and easy to manipulate. They'll say things to you, call you names. This is all false, and you must ignore it, no matter how upsetting it is. And...I want you to kill them all - show them how powerful you are. And don't hold back, not for anything.
*As I'm listening, I feel a sort of calmness fall over me - it's always comforting to hear Father speak, and I'm long used to carrying out tasks for him - glad to, even.*
*I tense up in anticipation, flinching slightly as it quiets in my ears. Ignore them and kill. Do not stop.*
*Okay, Father.*
*With that, I ball up my fists and divebomb towards the group - I doubt any of them have quick enough reaction time to throw up a shield, assuming they even think to do so.*
*I yelp and throw my hands up, beginning to create a small shield to protect myself. I know I wasn't fast enough, but I have to try something.*
*With the speed this elf is going at, there's no way I can make one big enough for all the councillors around me. There's no guarantee either that the shield I make will even cover me up completely.*
*In no time, I - well, my fist - collides with the shield that the psionpath threw up, and the force of that plus my momentum shatters it. Any excess energy is discharged in a shockwave that blows the rest of the elves back, and creates a small crater where the psionpath was pushed slightly into the ground.*
*The force of the impact hits me instantly as I'm thrown into the ground. My head hits the floor hard, causing everything to go dark.*
*I can barely breathe. I feel like every bone of my body is broken. I'm knocked out after only a few seconds as the arms that were forming the shield now fall limply to my sides.*
