In the Clear Moonlit Dusk Vol.10
I didn't think that Yamamori Mika was the mangaka for Hirunaka no Ryuusei and Tsubaki-chou Lonely Planet. I was completely shocked to see the change in artstyles when I wanted to read something similar to Uruwashi no Yoi no Tsuki. I do love her most recent work because of the artstyle.
I particularly gravitate towards the secondary character with glasses. I'm hoping her next project has main character with glasses like hers below:
Hyūganatsu's work
Since I've been following: "The Apothecary Diaries" and patiently waiting on the new chapters and new anime which will be out in October 2026, I decided to read two other works by Natsu Hyuuga. I originally bookmarked the two others, and read a few chapters in the past. But now, I started rereading "The Failure at God School" up to Volume 3, and I absolutely love it. It was reminscent of my first ever manga: "Gakuen Alice". I think I got hooked after reading 3 chapters of it, a bit slower to grasp; but once I'm hooked, I just can't stop.
"You can't bluff the sharp-eyed sister" is a tad harder to get into; as it is very similar to "The Apothecary Diaries" & "Akagami no Shirayukihime" with an investigation in-mind, and the long dialogues; bombarded with info. I also think the artstyle of the first two is much cleaner and sharper than this one.
Anyhow, these are my thoughts upon reading Natsu Hyuuga's work at this time.
I found my next "Haikyuu!!" manga
The manga's called: Dig it by Maru Yoshida
I actually didn't think I'd enjoy this. But after reading the first chapter, I just wanted to read the next. It gives that "Haikyuu!!" vibe but instead of a dream to be the WORLD'S BEST SPIKER, it's the WORLD'S BEST LIBERO.
Additionally, the artstyle is my cup of tea. I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes an anime in the future.
And if I tell you this little moment will live in my mind forever, then what.
I finally watched the last few episodes of season 2 of "The Apothecary Diaries", and I'm proud that I waited until now; because the recent chapter (Chapter 86) was the last scenes in the final episode of season 2. I was always looking forward to the chapters before watching the animation. But I think for season 3, I'll probably follow along with other viewers rather than reading the chapters... We will see...

The Apothecary's Diaries Chapter 85 is out!!
OMGG!! I'm so relieved that the manga is continuing even though it is based on the lightnovel. These two are precious!! - I thank the author for having a bit of Maomao and Jinshi scenes. It was long overdued after the big Shi clan fiasco.
A Farewell letter to Akatsuki no Yona
Just needed to write my final thoughts on Akatsuki no Yona as it has officially ended for me. I've read the last bonus chapter (TWICE) to be ok with the ending. I was in tears because this manga has been with me since I discovered the anime in 2016. I remembered I was in University during lunch time and just started the anime. I couldn't peel my eyes off of it.
I also remembered a time where all other manga were completed, but I muttered to myself that it's okay because I still have Akatsuki no Yona with me. This manga will not end! I can still survive.
Literally, this manga has really helped me when I felt down in the dumpsters and just wanted to quit on life. It was my glimmer of hope! & of living! when the going's get tough and I just wanted a breather, this manga helped me so much. It's unimaginable that it's been a decade since then.
This manga will forever be engraved in my heart, next to Maid-sama and Kuroko no Basuke. A ginormous THANKS to Mizuho Kusanagi-sensei for bringing life to my fave characters, *cough* Hak and Yona. And for having those lovey-dovey scenes between the two. *cough*
I admit! I'm a romantic! And all I care about is those two!! - But in all seriousness, the adventure and journey with the dragons and how it all ended was phenomenal! Definitely a 11/10 in story plot and execution!
I can't wait for more of sensei's projects in the future!

Aoku Somero Chapter 107
OMG! this manga gives me so much joy!! I really love it.
I continued reading from chapter 88 - 109 and wow!! the most impeccable moment that gave me a surge of dopamine was when Nii-chan passed the ball to Soshi-kun on the far left side. Soshi-kun did a one-on-one play with the Gorilla (Leonardo Jade) and actually scored! The feeling of having both siblings in sync was amazingg!! I love it how Soshi-kun realized that his 'love' for football/soccer needed to be a bit more than what he had in order to surpass Leo.
It was an insane gameplay. FYI: This is only a practice match. Oh! and of course, the artstyle aesthetic is sharp and to die for!

You know how this manga has an anime now? I'm not watching it because I finished the manga a long time ago. But there is a sequel now. Liar Game: Last Game - by the same mangaka.
So far, I'm loving it! - I love reading it and pondering what will happen next. The mangaka has done a really good job keeping readers guessing.
Just started watching Slay The Gods donghua and I'm. So shocked. IT'S SO HIGH QUALITY?? AND FREE TO WATCH?? THE ANIMATION IS PEAK AND THE STORYLINE SO FAR IS GOLD. WHAT THE FUCK. THE MC IS ACTUALLY LIKEABLE I LOVE HIM??

Alsoooo romance isn't the main plot thingy so don't worry abt it I think.
I'm also watching this for the first time, and got quickly attached to it. I do get lost when they talk about gods and their origins; just a tiny bit. I did not like Episode 13 with the dolls battling against MC as a performance on stage. It urked me a lot!
This is also my first time watching an animation in 3D; usually I avoid watching 3D animation because it's just not my style... I much rather watch 2D animation. But this surprisingly felt seamless and kind of cool! I'd recommend it to anyone who just wants to watch something for the action and an engraving backstory.
MAO may mostly just be Inuyasha in the 1920's, but I do appreciate that it has the mindfulness to go:
Mao: "We need to investigate this person/artifact/event." Nanoka: (goes back to the modern world and just fucking Googles it)
I just recently binged the episodes and the episode that got me invested was ep 7-8 how Mao and Nanoka were connected; and what really happened between the two timelines.
I'm not continuing the story by reading the manga. The ending of the anime was a bit abrupt; how Kamon just popped over at the clinic and decided himself to sleep over. LOL
"Ao Ashi" Official Spin-Off "Ao Ashi: Brother Foot" will RESUME in April 2026 in Weekly Big Comic Spirits!
The Author Yuugo Kobayashi is currently also working on a completely new manga too.
TV Anime Season 2 already announced
In the spirit of FIFA WORLD CUP 2026, I found out this Spin-Off just today, and jumped on it without finishing Ao Ashi. I'm more invested in nii-chan than Ashito-san.
There's another soccer manga that I'm rereading a second time: Aoku Somero because I love how the dopamine surges into my brain when I see a group of soccer pros battling it out. Great sportmenship and artstyle!

I'd never thought I'd been reading the manga from Chapter 13 to 48 in one go!
It's literally mid-night and I've finally halted myself from continuing. The story is definitely intricate and complex compared to those shoujo, romance; easily-predicted kind of manga. There's also gonna be the anime which I'm watching in English dub.
I conclude that this manga has become one of my fave just by the pure fascination on how daemons and humans behave and value in their lives.
OMG!! are these two daemons cute or what?!!
Even though, we should be mad at them because they tricked Yuru for the better part of his life, on face value, they are adorbs!!

Chinese donghua 动画
Currently, I'm exploring the Chinese donghua. My fave and have become a huge fan of the animation of The King's Avatar 《全职高手》 I watched every season twice and just can't wait for season 4.
I then broaden my scope to The Melee Mage 《近战法师》 which was a nice concept of having a Martial arts teacher playing a virtual video game; and being this combat fighting mage. It was pretty silly for the antagonist; the game developer to mess up the teacher's gameplay by preaching that the game should be 'balanced' but in reality, the game developer is a cheater. 卑鄙！
Now, I'm watching Spare Me, Great Lord! 《大王饶命》 and I liked the first season. What kept me watching was the comebacks that the MC makes; witty and clever without offending them. It constantly makes me laugh which made me a fan of the story.
