"I’ll tell you again, asshole, it’s a fucking shit power," Luke grumbled, forcing out a breath and pulling it back in again. Biting his lip in consideration, Luke pulled out his lighter and a placed a cigarette between his lips before lighting it and breathing a little easier. Once he was sure the heat had left his face, Luke turned back to the taller boy and narrowed his eyes. "I don’t need to come up there to make you shut up, Sparky," Luke mused, blowing a well aimed puff of smoke to Ezra’s face. "Why don’t you just admit that you want me to kiss you? Because I’m the best? I get a lot of people kissing me, you know, you have to be a better competitor." At his next words, however, Luke’s cheeks flared up again, mouth parting a little in surprise as he involuntarily recalled the other night. "God fucking damn it—" Smoke left his mouth in an angry swirl and the bright-eyed boy glared a little before swallowing hard. "It’s fine, thank you. I managed to avoid you perfectly in that small amount of time in which I lost my fucking voice.”
"You only think it's a shit power because it renders yours completely useless." Ezra caught himself staring at Luke's lips as he lit the cigarette, not being able to help himself. He quickly averted his eyes as the boy turned back to him again, narrowing his eyes right back as he blew smoke in his face. He wondered when he'd give up on the ridiculous nicknames. With his luck, probably never. "Where's the fun in that? -- Oh, do you now? Like who?" Ezra tightened his jaw a little, trying to push away the twinge of jealousy and anger that crept up his spine like chills. The feeling quickly subsided as Luke's cheeks turned pink once again, reminding him that he was probably the only one that could pull that reaction out of the boy. Every time he stuck the small white cylinder between his lips, it drove the taller boy crazy, not being able to stop the words that spilled from his mouth in the next second. "You know, you look really good when you've got something jammed between your lips." His eyes flickered down to the boy's mouth for a moment as he slid his tongue over his bottom lip slowly. He was quickly pulled back to reality as he began talking again, letting out a loud scoff in the middle of Luke's sentence, as the words I managed to avoid you perfectly rolled off his tongue. "Is that what you call visiting me while I was in England, every night, coming back for more every time? If so-- then sure. You avoided me perfectly, love. "
