It was only when she glanced up from her chips that she caught him staring at her, but her attempt at a response was cut short by his abrupt disappearance, and in the fleeting second it took her to recover, he’d already reappeared next to her, bag of chips in hand. The corners of her lips twitched in faint amusement as she snatched it back from him, sending a little jolt of electricity through his hand in the process. "I’m taking a calculated risk." Charlie popped one in her mouth and turned away again. "And nice presentation, really, I truly felt like you were something straight out of The Outsiders movie. You do a very good Sodapop."

"I'm just going to stick to Charlotte because, well, I don't give a fuck about your brownie points--- ow!" Luke yelped out in surprise at the sensation of a charge dancing up his arm and lingering-- it was a sensation he knew all too well... from Ezra. His bright hues were vivid whilst he connected the dots. She had the same power as him, electrokinesis-- the only power Luke couldn't hate more. The dark haired boy had a good enough reason to. The current made it difficult for him to teleport, it sabotaged him as his only weakness and even now, as Luke held up his hand, it seemed to vibrate unnaturally as if it were there and not there at the same time. He knew he couldn't do it if he tried, but recovered enough to hope that Charlie wouldn't think anything of it. Huffing, Luke scowled and shoved the hand into his pocket with a shake of his head to get thoughts of Ezra out of his head. "Someone didn't win in the abilities lottery. Truly, the worst one of all, if you ask me." He eyed her as she ate, glancing to where she'd pulled out a dollar. "Are you going to share or buy me a Kit Kat, then? Sodapop? I'll take it. He's the best looking one of the whole bunch. And that was hardly a presentation, blondie-- that was the real me. Don't deny the fact that you love me already."

"Only when it suits me. Which is like, always." Ezra beamed a little, dropping his hand to his side when he realized the other was ignoring him. The most satisfying feeling washed over him as Luke’s cheeks turned pink, and he couldn’t help the smug smirk that spread across his face. He’d never seen anyone make Luke blush like he could. It was far too easy for him. "Why don’t you come up here and make me?" Ezra teased, leaning away from him a little when he felt Luke’s hand on his chest. "—That reminds me, how’s your throat?"

"I'll tell you again, asshole, it's a fucking shit power," Luke grumbled, forcing out a breath and pulling it back in again. Biting his lip in consideration, Luke pulled out his lighter and a placed a cigarette between his lips before lighting it and breathing a little easier. Once he was sure the heat had left his face, Luke turned back to the taller boy and narrowed his eyes. "I don't need to come up there to make you shut up, Sparky," Luke mused, blowing a well aimed puff of smoke to Ezra's face. "Why don't you just admit that you want me to kiss you? Because I'm the best? I get a lot of people kissing me, you know, you have to be a better competitor." At his next words, however, Luke's cheeks flared up again, mouth parting a little in surprise as he involuntarily recalled the other night. "God fucking damn it--" Smoke left his mouth in an angry swirl and the bright-eyed boy glared a little before swallowing hard. "It's fine, thank you. I managed to avoid you perfectly in that small amount of time in which I lost my fucking voice."

Luke rolled his eyes, turning to face the taller boy whilst completely ignoring the sparks danging off of his fingertips. "---Ezra!" Suddenly, his cheeks turned a rosy shade pink and the boy looked around, a little paranoid about anyone hearing that. "Shut the fuck up, you giant prick," he hissed, pushing on the other's chest a little before turning away and attempting to conceal his face with his hand.

“Tempting,”  Sidestepping Luke, Charlie moved over to the vending machine behind him and pulled out a wrinkled dollar bill from her pocket. “— but I’ll take a rain check for now. Only interested in fighting off starvation, thank you very much.” Her expression offered nothing of consequence, imperceptible as ever as she punched in a few numbers and reached down for her bag of chips. She arched a brow, however, giving him a quick once-over before turning back to her food. “Besides, I think I could manage just a little better if that were the case.”

Luke scoffed in amusement, looking over the blonde a little curiously before stopping in his tracks. Resolving to lean his weight casually against the vending machine , he watched her carefully. She was unfamiliar to him, which was odd because Luke had tabs on everyone, most of the time. Thumbing the corner of his lips, he tilted his head and smirked. "Kit Kats and Hot Cheetos will save you from your struggles indefinitely, then. I'm Luke. You are?" In the next second, the bright-eyed boy teleported to the opposite side of the vending machine and snatched the bag of chips out of her hand, mockingly scanning it's ingredients. "Two hundred and ten calories. Are you so desperate to survive that you'd subject yourself to seventeen grams of fat per serving?"
