The thing is. And I think we can all agree with this, logically speaking Ingrid and Julien would be a great arranged match. It's actually kind of beautiful in the moment. If Royce is truly done for, then pivoting Davinos to be a vassal of Einfasen is a sound tactical move. I don't know where Ingrid is in the line of succession, but Julien has good standing as both a knight and the heir to his house that should make him a socially acceptable match, and if that's not appealing enough (given the Orchard's fall) then Einfasen's aspirations to take over the military functions currently run by the Revolutionary Council and Julien's standing at Castle Torch makes him an incredible acquisition for them anyways. Julien's general "I need to consider all possible angles all the time while also stabbing my enemies with extreme prejudice" vibe actually fits pretty well with how the Einfasen do business. On paper, Ingrid's forwardness and initiative should make her a decent match for him personality-wise. Hell, the axe incident suggests that they might even be able to legitimately spar, which I suspect is a big plus in any Julien-based long term relationship.

The problem, of course, is that Julien is kinda an apathetic manipulative cad with no actual interest in her or polite society in general, and Ingrid is too naive and proper and Ingrid to either stand on his level or at least catch when he's being full of shit. So on an emotional level this is an absolute car crash.

Crisps vs Chips: I gotta admit, the Brits have this one. They're thin slices of potato that have been made crispy. No chipping of any materials involved.

Car Park vs Parking Lot: Equally matched. What's a car park? A place to park cars. What's a parking lot? An otherwise empty lot where you can park.

Elevator vs Lift: Both equally fail to address that the damn thing also goes down.
