bucky isn’t very intimate once you first get together. yeah, there are certain times when you’re close, but he won’t let you in yet fully. so, the first time you two are genuinely intimate with each other, he’s holding back tears. bucky never thought he’d see the day he would be so close to somebody, and he’s not an easy crier.
he’s very old-timey. not in the typical way where he doesn’t know anything about the current world, but in the way he’s romantic. he’ll hold your hand, hold doors open, give you roses, make you blush very randomly. like, very randomly. you could be putting washing into the washing machine and he’s putting his hands on your hips and whispering some filthy pick-up line that works a charm.
ordinarily, you would expect the boyfriend to be jealous that another man made his partner laugh, but not with bucky. sam told you something that made you laugh. If you’re laughing, he’s smiling like a dork. you called him out for it once, and he pouted like it really hurt his feelings.
