「希う？」 KOINEGAU?
第15回目となる藤沢今昔・まちなかアートめぐりは5年ぶりに海外アーティストを招致して8人と1ユニットで開催します。また8年ぶりに展示活用させていただく歴史的建造物もあります。ぜひご来訪ください。人が「希う」ことが明智や平和につながるだけでなく、対立と分断をももたらす現実。さりとて諦めたり、放心したりしてばかりもいられない。ちょっとの迂回、遠まわりしての寄り道や、道草なんかを喰ったら、なにか少しでも栄(叡?)養をもらえないだろうか？

2014,16,18年と海外アーティストで最多の来日参加をされている、ラトビア共和国のラウラ・フェルデベルガさんが、まちなかアートめぐり2024に６年ぶりに参加されます。

藤沢のまちなかアートプロジェクトに再び招待していただき、心から感謝申し上げます。この素晴らしい取組みへの参加が4回目となることを本当に光栄に思います。これまでの経験は、創造的な充実だけでなく、主催チームおよび参加アーティストとの素晴らしい関係を強化することにもなりました。藤沢は私にとって特別な場所であり、今年のプロジェクトに貢献する機会に高揚を覚えます。コラボレーションとアートへの情熱の共有は常に刺激的であり、また一緒に意味のあるものを作り上げることを楽しみにしています。私が今年制作する作品は、世界の多くの地域で暴力が蔓延しているこの困難な時代に、人々の間に平和と協力を促進することを目的としています。藤沢まちなかアートめぐりの訪問者に、小さな布を大きな網に織り込むことでこの作品に貢献していただくよう呼びかけます。迷彩ネットを作るのに使われるこの技法は、団結と希望を象徴しています。作品のタイトルは「永遠の青空」で、希望の儀式として機能します。今年のプロジェクトに参加することで、ラトビアと日本の交流がさらに強化され、将来の共同クリエイティブプロジェクトが発展することを願っています。引き続きご信頼とご支援をいただき、ありがとうございます。藤沢での次のクリエイティブな旅を心待ちにしています！

Dear Artists and Organizers of the Fujisawa City “Machi-naka” Art Trail,
I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for being invited once again to participate in the art project in Fujisawa City. It is truly an honor to be part of this remarkable initiative for the fourth time. The past experiences have not only been creatively fulfilling but have also strengthened the wonderful relationship I share with the organizing team and participating artists.
Fujisawa holds a special place in my heart, and I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to contribute to this year’s project. The collaboration and shared passion for art have always been inspiring, and I look forward to creating something meaningful together once again. The work I will be creating this year is dedicated to fostering peace and collaboration among people during these troubled times, when many parts of the world are suffering from violence. I will invite visitors of the Fujisawa City “Machi-naka” Art Trail to contribute to this artwork by weaving small pieces of fabric into a large net. This technique, used for making camouflage nets, symbolizes unity and hope. The title of the work is “Eternal Blue Sky,” and it serves as a ritual of hope.
My hope is that by participating in this year’s project, we will continue to strengthen the exchange between Latvia and Japan and develop future collaborative creative projects. Thank you for your continued trust and support. I am eagerly anticipating our next creative journey in Fujisawa!
