Highschool Running

This is my cover-art for my album. Its probably the best picture someone got of me running.

“Lucid Dreams” is actually the second song I have listend to by Juice Wrld and its also his most famous song. This song in particular brings back memories of me and my friends from track which where also my friends from Cross Country. I can still remember going to Nate’s house after Track and getting that Frotnite victory royal.

This is a picture of me and Joe at the end of a track meet. I have know idea why we are holding roses in this picture.

“All Girls Are The Same” was the first song I heard from Juice Wrld and I instantly loved it. This song also reminds me of Track and Filed during my senior year after Cross Country. Today I still listen to Juice Wrld’s music and he is one of my favorite artists.

This was one of our last meets for the season. Even though the picture looks nice and happy, I hated the race because it was a hard course.

Sad is one of xxxtentacion’s most popular songs he had made. The song is very powerful to me because of the memories it brings back when Iistened to it. I played it at a sad point in my life that was at the end of the Cross Country season as well.

This is a picture from the kayaking trip on a small island we found. There where a bunch of fire ants on the island so my feet where completely swollen after.

One of my favorite songs out of xxxtentacion’s last album ?. All of the cool kids on the XC teem really liked the song and it most reminds me of a kayaking trip us bois went on together. That trip was absolutely hilarious because we told this stupid kid named Bentley to open his mouth and we put in a fish :)

Lil Xan’s song “Betrayed” was the reason for his fame. The lyrics along with the music video made his song a huge hit on Youtube and jump-started his rap career. I started listening to this song in the middle of senior year and always reminds me of high school lunch time with my Cross Country bois.

This picture was taken after one of my most favorite meets. I had just received my best 5k time and placed top 15 out of 267 runners.

This song was always played after a long Cross Country meet. I still remember all of us in the back of the bus doing dumb shit to pass the time with this song playing. I am just thankful that I was apart of such a great team.

This picture was taken on our 5th day at Running Camp. From this perspective you can clearly get a view of the entire squad although I thought it looked a lot more hardcore at the time.

In my opinion Skimask created this song in the hopes people would find it extremely annoying and ironic which many did. For that reason all of us Cross Country boys found a great way to use it at Running Camp! Every night at 3am we would blast the song on Jacobs guitar amp in our dorm and watch the chaos unfold outside :)

Cross Country was not all fun and games. Every morning was a struggle when I had to force myself out of bed at 5am just to run in the freezing morning cold but it was worth it. I would never give up the experiences and friends I made during the season, even if it meant running my ass off all week.

I just want to thank xxxtentacion who gave us this great peace of artwork before his tragic death in June of 2018. His style and lyrics where truly one of a kind and he will be missed. Whenever I hear this particular song, it reminds me of the old Cross Country team and how we would always keep it playing when we went on a long run in the trails.
