#F1LLGRAVES ♠ an independent, somewhat private take on phillip j. graves - the ceo of a private contracting company, referred to as shadow company, from the call of duty franchise. a heavily headcanon based portrayal, he is not a fucking marine. this blog will underline the concept of shadow company being the neutral evil of sorts, a middle man in the department of defense's bad decisions that take good money for bad deeds. this blog will contain triggering material, obviously, as it's a call of duty game ... it will also talk heavily and openly about how the system often leaves veterans behind, if that isn't your cup of tea ? drink something else. multiship & multiverse, as i'm sure not everyone has the desire to fire up the ol' call of duty. the only dni i have is whatever the fandom is doing with graves for their self-insert shit.

dear lord, please let shadow company remain a morally ambiguous figure that is neither good nor bad. i don't need graves to save the day, i need him to continue the cag tradition of doing what he needs to in order to finish the job. he is a direct reflection of his prior occupation, the mindset forged by years under the direct action umbrella. i don't give a fuck about uwu good guy graves.

the biggest thing to grasp is that graves wilted under the care of the va ... especially in the mid-2000's, when mismanagement and apathy let a lot of vets fall by the wayside. it wasn't until he could pay for his own treatment plans (physical therapy for his leg / testosterone supplementation to re-level the depletion that often accompanies war fighters returning home / etc) that he saw actual success in re-acclimating to life stateside. granted, i'm sure the nature of shadow company helped, because he wasn't trapped in an office building under halogen lighting, but never mind that-

he'd thank god for the property line being plenty away from the house, but it wouldn't really matter to him in any semblance of the moment. that kind of shit is reserved for folks who worry about what their neighbors think ; and if some dumb motherfucker was nosy enough to peek into an open window, that was on them. though, in this case, it was more of an enclosed porch than an open window ... a rustic little sun room, perfect place for morning coffee and all that domestic, stateside shit.

that particular cup of coffee sits, perhaps precarious along end table - steam dying down as attention sits elsewhere. it stains the corners of his mouth, probably stains alex's too, leaves behind an earthy line of saliva as mouth skims down over collar and shoulder. one-tracked, a fucking bullet train of a thought process honed in on nothing beyond the weight of the other in his lap. well-loved, flannel pajama pants hooked down just enough to keep him free of cotton prison ... whatever alex had worn to bed long forgone somewhere across the room. this is why i don't get a single damn thing done on the weekends, something he'd say if he could find coherent thought in that moment. but carnal desire or whatever the fuck you wanted to call it was a helluva thing, and graves gives up on anything beyond the simplicity of action.

that little switch in his brain, once faulty after years overseas, now crammed upward more often than not - it sweeps over him like starvation, like he'd just spent the last week starved.

" his hands knead over the strong curve of alex's ass, he's caught in a pendulum swing somewhere between wanting the other to keep going and stop all together - to feel his pulse beat down through his toes, keep him warm in the early spring weather. forehead sets to the others shoulder, he lets the choice sway in between his ears, hands kept firm. for now, he'll let the other have his way, get his fill so to speak. especially after a little distance between them, work and all - something, something, heart grows fonder.
