🍂🪦
we deserve both graves vibes.
shadow company is called in to clean up the uncleanable messes, and take out targets other outfits can't touch. we are a magnet for missions too sensitive to ever get declassified and too messy for those who don't know when to bend the rules of engagement. to put it bluntly, we get the job done.
NO MASTERS, NO KINGS ! shadow company is a private contracting company based out of amarillo, texas. founded in july of 2017 by former delta force operator, phillip graves, shadow company is heavily structured in a military fashion ... including the implement of officers vs enlisted titles, which can be seen across the game itself with the various shadows. this is an unshakable fail safe implemented by graves in the instance of his death: it means shadow company will not fall to pieces if the hands are changed, theoretically at least - it depended heavily on who took the reigns, whether that be marcus lerch or another shadow.
originally, graves was just that ... a shadow. he preferred to operate as a commander / ceo from the background, often on target with his shadows during the early days of the company. however, as the company grew, graves became a more reserved ground commanding force - only utilized physically in the field when deployed to very sensitive situations, often tailed by a meticulously handpicked team of people he'd served with prior or people he trained / worked with regularly.
graves reputation in the intelligence community as a heavily reliable operator with an IRON RESOLVE IN THE FACE OF HELL earned him immense credibility among political figures who often referenced his stacked service history when hiring him. it also earned a quiet desire to work with and for him in the sof community that only grew as the war overseas drug on.
THE URBAN LEGENDS SURROUNDING HIS NAME IN THE ARMED FORCES WORKED IN HIS FAVOR, and it wasn't long until shadow company was breaking through various barriers - obtaining more than a few rotary wing aircraft, their numbers eventually growing into thirty-odd thousand contractors working worldwide for the commander. shadow company became known for a versatility: TRAINING FOREIGN FIGHTING FORCES, DEPLOYING AS PRIVATE SECURITY, TOUCHING ON MESSY CIVIL WARS, AND MUCH MORE.
while graves primarily only hires us based operators, shadow company has become well-known for their ability to reach foreign operators for assistance on ground / in country.
in 2022, after graves ( alleged ) death, someone stepped in to fill his shoes, remaining nameless as they re-routed ground forces toward al-qatala and the russian contracting community. SHEPHERD'S INTELLIGENCE BLUNDER WAS AN UGLY SCAR ON THEIR REPUTATION, and the kia status of their original founder left former and future clients widely disenchanted. that nameless entity would never genuinely be open about identity, instead, heavy behind the scenes work and very quiet calls would be made inside the community.
shadow company's reputation being very meticulously mended, the source carefully concealed. some people rumor that graves is still alive, operating the company from behind the veil again with the intention of using legal loopholes to operate accordingly and bring violence to shepherd and the russian entity that had ambushed his men in al-mazrah. other people brush that off, stating it's a story fabricated to keep morale up.
overall, shadow company as of 2022 pre-graves "death" is noted to be a highly sought after employer, and an even more sought after fighting force - very competent, very lethal.
graves doesn't fuck around when it comes to training. he never has, but he also is aware that - if you don't use it, you lose it. he is a firm believer in, SOMEWHERE A TRUE BELIEVER IS TRAINING TO KILL YOU, if the enemy wont stop running, neither will he. going from big army and rangers, where cqb and urban combat was newer, to delta force ... where he was learning from other branches of operators who had adapted to their combat roles differently inspired him to train harder and expand his skillset. graves doesn't believe you ever stop growing as a warfighter, there is always something to learn; someone will always find a way to do something quicker, smoother, more efficient. shadow company is built on this concept: they do not take extended windows off between rotations, he expects his employees to stay vigilant, sharp, and deadly - not show up for ops completely out of shape, unpracticed, and a liability to the team.
despite the game trying to push the tank battle and this protagonist plot armor, graves has sharpened himself into a weapon, and he remains if not more lethal than he was as a tier one guy.
GRAVES AND HIS PHYSICALITY ! graves only actively stands maybe a little over 5'10" ( 177.8 cm ) in height, and isn't necessarily overly broad in general build. always considered a little bit more of a sleeper build during the height of his service career, things have changed slightly with age and different habits outside of a career military life.
while always more broad in the shoulders, his arms are not overtly visibly muscles until intentionally flexed. they're also heavily tattooed, sleeves stopping at the 3/4 mark of his arm, as to remain hidden even when sleeves are rolled up on target ( as graves doesn't tend to dawn short sleeve shirts when working ). they are also decently scarred in patches, as is most of him, from the explosive incident overseas that coated him in debris and momentarily swallowed him in fire.
aside from being in the sleeper category in terms of excessively visible muscle, graves is now known to comfortably rock a sort of dad bod vibe. at forty-five, with lifelong injuries and chronic pain due to service, graves doesn't always find solace in pushing his body in punishing workouts to maintain some type of physical appearance. HE IS MORE WORRIED ABOUT BEING IN RELATIVE SHAPE THAN LOOKING A CERTAIN WAY. because of this, his stomach is softer and he overall carries a little bit more weight than he used to.
it is also important to note that graves has drop foot due to a nerve injury in his leg after a career ending incident overseas. this caused a lot of issues with his balance and gait, though it has long been mostly corrected with physical therapy and the use of various wrapping techniques and technological advances. it is important to note that, like his arms and his face and patches of his midsection, his legs are heavily scarred thanks to skin grafts and generally healed burns.
OVERALL I CHOOSE TO WRITE GRAVES THIS WAY. not every military member, past or present, needs or benefits from being exceptionally ripped out of their mind. graves continues to be an asset, in combat, to his team + company and strives to remain physically fit and combat ready. any negativity surrounding this will be promptly drop kicked into the sun.

ride me, fuck yourself on me, pleasuring yourself while i feel your thighs tremble. chase orgasm after orgasm greedily, like the desperate slut you are, I want to see your face as you lose control, thinking of nothing except your release
fuck yourself stupid on my fingers while I hold your throat and call you baby
“I had a teacher in high school reading about history. And I remember telling her; because I was kind of a smart ass, I told her I don’t want to read about somebody else. I want to make history, I want to do it.
The kind of character traits that a tier one guy needs to possess; obviously the physicality. He’s gotta be in good shape. He doesn’t have to be the strongest guy, but he’s gotta be the guy that is well above average. Intelligence wise, they gotta be smart guys. In the big army, you’re more of a hammer. It’s a large instrument. When you start talking about the tier one elements, it’s much more of a scalpel approach. You’re trying to do something very surgical. You’re trying to do things with the most precise element that you can bring to bear. And alot of times that can be just a single tier one operator. There’s no telling what he had to do to get to that point so that he could go through that door and confront a guy with a gun who wants to kill him. He is going to try to, in a very surgical method, apply the precise amount of damage to the bad guys without inflicting any damage on the hostages that may be in there. He is risking his life to save somebody else’s life. He is doing it at great risk to not only himself but his team mates. I would rather take a bullet myself than do something stupid that resulted in one of my buddies getting shot.
I wish that the public in general could have an understanding of what guys do. Not just what they do operationally, but what they sacrifice for years and years and years in order to be the guy who is at the tip of the spear. I’m not a very sociable person, ask my wife. I don’t consider a lot of people friends. But if you’re any innocent person that’s in harms way, we wanted to be the guys that came and tried to do their best to stop the bully.”
(visibly shaking and covered in blood) yeah its just been kind of a long week haha
